Pampas Bakery

3/30/24: discovered Pampas at the Downtown Phoenix Farmers market. Because we can never say no to sweets (and we like to support local small businesses, too!), we picked up a few goodies.The couple were very polite and enjoyed talking about their items. They were all reasonably priced and we look forward to seeing them again very soon.The alfajores we knew about from watching Bake Squad (one of those bakers is also Argentinian), so we picked up those, and an Americanized version (made w/ choc chip cookies). Both were perfectly sized, the cookies were soft, the dulce de leche filling was smooth and creamy. I went back to take a few more pictures, which was when I saw their focaccia bread off to the side (I was distracted by the sweets & didn't see it the first time) and their quince pie (pronounced kwins). Next time we hit the market, we will definitely try different items.

I had never heard of alfajores before trying Pampas Bakery's. They are now one of my favorite treats. I love the rotating selection of delicious pastries, too. Veronica truly has a gift and always has an infectious positive energy. Pampas should be on everyone's list of farmers market stops to make every week.

The alfajores are to die for - I can't wait to grab some more at the next farmer's market. And Veronica is such a lovely human to boot.

Very tasty, these are my favorite. They do sell out so try to get to the market earlier.

Amazing to have such authentic food like this show up in Arizona. The Pastries are incredible.

If you want authentic Argentine alfajores ( alfajores de maicena) that are fresh and delicious you have to come here. You can also find yummy quince pies , if you've never tried quince paste before ... I highly recommend you do!! Veronica also offers a variety of pastries that are to die for! Hope Pampas Bakery expands soon to North Phoenix farmer's markets!

The alfajores are divine! She also has a variety of other yummy treats, some packed in cute little boxes, perfect for gifting. Veronica is so friendly and happy to share her love of Argentina with customers. If sweets aren't your thing, you can also get Messi stickers!
