Why do I love this chocolate shake so much? Oh, I don't know... Maybe because it's real ice cream?

GET. THE. PALETA's. Can we all praise the holy popsicle Gods? I got the coconut Creme and could have eaten probably 5. The strawberry and mango were also delicious. I hear the pistachio is very good as well. You probably can't go wrong with any flavor. The owner is very sweet (:

The lime ice cream is absolutely incredible. I sense a little bit of the lime rind their special creamy concoction and my mouth is watering with bitter delight as I type. I haven't veered far from lime ice cream b/c it's so good, but I consider myself a milk shake connoisseur and I'd say their chocolate is top 5 I've had in a life of about a thousand and probably the best in Arizona. If you are not familiar with iced dessert south of the border or the regular clientele, don't let the unfamiliarity of their menu scare you. There is plenty for you and your kin no matter how timid you may be. (And for the record --rumor has it-- this place is owned by savvy white guys.) LOL

My wife and I live here in Mesa AZ. Have been in Mesa since April 2010. We periodically go on a "date" somewhere, usually something unique. Yesterday it was at this ice cream shop. Stepping in to this place reminded both of us of our travels throughout Mexico and Latin America. It reminded me of the following places:1) a heladeria just off the Plaza Mijares in San Jose del Cabo in Mexico2) a Pops branded heladeria in San Jose, Costa Rica (Al Centro)3) a Crepes and Waffles branded heladeria in La Candelaria, Bogota, ColombiaAll of these places looked similar to what is in Mesa AZ. The kinds of ice cream flavors. The ice cream pops (paletas). How they are displayed. How the overall store looked. Yes, I have been to Latin America many times (with my wife accompanying me). This was kind of like being in a capsule where we were somewhere in Latin America.Anyway, we went there, and enjoyed some ice cream. Me, as I am trying to lose weight (lol!) I had a small cup of mango flavored ice cream. My wife ordered a coconut cream ice cream pop (paleta). While I found the coconut cream a bit overpowering for me, my life it, and said it was good. She also liked the mango ice cream that I ordered (Yes, I liked the mango ice cream to).My wife and I will definitely be back. Perhaps in November 2019, when my mother, sister, niece, and brother-in-law visit from Chicago, I may take them here. I know my niece (5 years old) will like the ice cream here. The nice thing about the ice cream at this place is that it is not so sugary and over-powering (like the USA brands). Even the gelato places these days seem to be too sugary these days. --------------It looks like this shop serves a brand of ice cream known as Flor de Michoacan. At least when you walk in the place looks like it is plastered with the logos of the brand. I did remember someone telling me about a store with this name in Mesa once. ---------------About the only things that I would recommend are:1) I happen to know Spanish, and my knowledge of the language did help when my wife was trying to place her order. The attendant has a little difficulty understanding my wife's English. I was able to help.2) You have a lot of people who do appear to loiter around the store, perhaps you may want to carefully encourage people to go on their way if they are not customers. ----------------In any case, I wish them well. There need more business.

This place is one of the little known gems in the heart of Mesa. Always get the coconut shake and it never disappoints. They have the much approved Local First sticker to show they are aLocally owned shop. Love this place!

This is a great little shop. I love taking my kids here for a paleta. The shop is always clean and well-stocked. It's not super busy, but seems to have a good flow of customers coming and going. My husband loves the limeade. My favorite paletas are the Strawberry With Cream and the Coconut Cream. Yum! My kids usually get one of the brightly colored ones (though the lime tastes exactly like lime rind - good for lime lovers, not so much for little kids that expect fake flavoring) and Blue Bubblegum seems to be their favorite, which is no surprise. There are lots of other drinks and ice creams which I'm dying to try someday. You should definitely give this unassuming place a try!

This was some of the best ice cream iv had, probably because it didn't taste like processed chemicals. In fact you can tell when something doesn't have farmer Johns high fructose corn syrup in it. The strawberry shortcake ice cream was my favorite. I asked for it in a chocolate dipped cone. I think the cones are pre purchased but that's just a minor detail

This place is very delicious, and very clean. All of the food bins were properly refrigerated. And the counters and floors were spotless. The workers are very friendly and are fluent in English and Spanish. We tried some elotes and strawberries and cream. The prices are very reasonable, and when in the area we will make it a point to stop in.

I liked this place. A good selection of traditional Mexican ice creams and waters. The lemonade was really good and I liked the ice cream too. If I lived closer I'd come by again

This place used to be so good and always fresh. My family has come here since I was little to buy escamochas and strawberries with cream and the past few months every time I go in the strawberries are literally all BAD. It looks like they have been there for days and when you ask they say they were prepped that morning. For that price atleast provide FRESH good fruit.
