Onyx Art Events

A group of us went to Oxyn for a special event a few weeks ago and we had a great time. The space was really open, lots of tables and seats but still a large dance floor. I loved the back patio/courtyard area. It added room and was a nice option if you wanted to step out to grab some fresh air. The event was an old school happy hour social which was perfect hours for the "grown ups". The best part was the old school jams. Mostly R&B...wish there was a little more hip hop but the DJ did a great job. My friends and I were the very last people to leave which is a testament to how much we enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait for the next event!

Most horrific place everrrr!The staff and securities are the worst they give you attitude!Just one ladies restroom which is so filthy and disgusting. I don't recommend this place for shows/concerts/events.All and all no stars for this place!!!!!

Went to an event there last night, had an awesome and amazing time. Great place to gather with friends and meet new ones. The music was great! A special gem in the heart of Phoenix, a place where everyone should visit!

This is the perfect place for hosting private parties and events. I've used this facility on multiple occasions and it certainly provides some character and an aesthetical upgrade over traditional event spaces around the valley. Both the staff and ownership have been really helpful and shaping the space to meet our needs.It's great that many local, regional and national artists are able to showcase their work. It's an added bonus that my attendees are able to take in the art as well. I especially appreciate how I am able to continually see this place to evolve and improve each time I visit. I look forward to returning.

Great time; this venue has an amazing atmosphere. The band was really good. They have dance classes and stepping.

I love this venue. Beautiful art is displayed everywhere and it's a great place for a good sized gathering. The owner and workers are hospitable and I enjoyed my evening there.

So we came here today for a brunch and beats event. It was absolutely terrible. So disappointing. They started over an hour late and had everyone wait outside in the 115 degree weather. Having paid for this event we waited but by the time we got in we were hoping for an impressive art event. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Only one bathroom here which was dirty. I would not come back here for any event. Very poor venue with very little parking.

I came here for the first time on Saturday morning. On Saturday in Phoenix it was a high 105 degrees and extremely dry. I went to this event entitled "Beats and Brunch". The parking is not very generous so ensure to get there early if you have an event or carpool with a friend. The concept itself of the venue and renting out the space is really cool because it divides the space into three separate rooms which is great for parties or corporate events. The issue is that there isn't AC, and there is definitely no ventilation in the second room bathroom. It really shocked me that on a hot end of summer day, there were only fans and a cooling system but no AC. Some of the power or the lights turned off about 2pm. The place because it doesn't have good ventilation smelled like breakfast, eggs, pancakes, tacos, and cereal. It was very musty for my liking. My friend had gone to a Harlem nights event in August at night and enjoyed her experience. I will update my review if I ever go back during a better weathered day.

I recently had my Mother's Day Fashion Show at the Onyx. The atmosphere and Ambiance was over the top. Kathi And Vernon are truly Hosts with the most. They have brought to Phoenix a Venue with a Flair for Excellence. Kathi is a visionary with an eye for detail and an ear for listening for what you want and need to make your event a reality. The ONYX provides all the items you may need from chairs and tables to Floral arrangements. The Ambiance speaks volumes of warmth and coolness. Awesome establishment! Very nice venue to host parties and creative art events. The stage can be set up for a band or DJ. Beautiful VIP section too! This gallery has style and grace and a humble host and hostess. I've always feel the classy undertones and upbeat positive attitude whenever I visit this venue. The owners also recommend bartenders, caterers, DJ's, etc... The art that decorates the walls are awesome and affordable. Class Act!
