Nu Towne Saloon

09.16.24: I just heard through the grapevine that there is a class action suit against Nu Towne saloon, and I really hope that it goes through because Michael is a terrible person and he is not very good as a manager of that place. I do love the staff that worked there, Joey, Mitchell all and even his husband Bill, but Michael is a pure piece of I'll leave it to your imagination July 2024:I truly love this place, but lately I'm not sure what is happening with the music and the Touch Tunes. When I check the TT it works fine, however when a group of us show up, it's turned off. Almost feel intentional, but I'm not sure. If you're coming to play music, I would shy away. Just my opinion, Update: 06.07.24: Came for Friday HH and the music system has changed. It is now AMI. I'm good with that, however once you sign up for it, the system won't let you play any music. It has been shut off from within playing 50's/60's music only. The TV system suggests to upload AMI and que your songs. You can't. Music is a huge piece of why we go to bars, and this will eventually keep me personally away. Maybe they don't care, it's okay. I can spend elsewhere, as will my friend. 06.16.24: So, once again there is an issue with the music. The owners, whom I care for installed a new music system AMI that offers video. I was personally playing a song that my friends were watching and the music is as interrupted by one owner without finishing the video. I said something to Michael and he stated they change it at 3:00 PM to his 80's music. I love 80's music, but why have a new system and we can't play it. I've downloaded my stars to one, for I can't do any lower.

Great vibe, fun and accepting atmosphere, and have some of the best bartenders in town. Joey, Mitch and Jason are the best! Come see Joey for Wolly Wednesdays!

The staff and owners are amazing. Great place to chill with friends. Cheap drinks and always a good time.

We played some songs on the AMI but apparently the bartenders have been skipping to their music. Mostly RAP. Is that fair? We are paying customers and I don't think that IS fair. These bartenders need to STOP. Please be professional, PLEASE mofo!

The staff is what makes this bar. A unique setting with a fun and inviting atmosphere makes for a great time. Being the oldest guest bar in AZ, it live up to being one of the funnest and most acceptable bars in AZ. Definitely a must while visiting!

I'm madly in lust for Mitchell. He's not only pretty to look at with those beautiful dreamy iridescent kaleidoscope eyes, he's also a beautiful person on the inside. Personality plus!! He may just possibly, one day, be my future ex-husband. Sorry Robbie. I'll scratch your eyes out and pull your wig off to make him mine all mine. Mitchell's the Best. My fiance and I are from Florida and we travel all over the US for work. We have been to many gay bars and this has been the most accepting of our kind (blknlez) each and EVERY staff member has made us feel like family. All the boys have treated very well during our time here and we will be sad to leave! We got to participate in many game nights, free food and even WON the NUTOWN OLYMPICS!!! We love you all and will definitely make our way back to the East side to see yall again!!-KassynShae

This place is awesome! Eclectic decor and very friendly staff and owners... makes you wanna come back. This is the oldest gay bar in AZ but it's really an everyone bar, so welcoming! No food but great drinks and snacks if you wish. There's different activities going on every night. Check them out on Facebook or Instagram.

I was new to phoenix in December. we decided to go out and had never been there before.Well, let me tell you, after 10 min in the door, we were on a barstool, and the bar tender knew we were a new face. He made us feel so comfortable, and we went back a second time .This time, we were introduced to the ownersMichael and Bill. They made us feel like family!We look forward to our Wednesday evenings with our new family, in this day and age, to walk into a bar and the owners hug you like family is above and beyond in my book nu towne is top notch!
