PRO TIP: Park at the Novus garage to get up to 2 hours of free validated parking. My fiance and I went to North Italia for the soft opening weekend. This is located at the brand new Novus Place in Tempe. The interior is so beautiful! Lots of floating plants, a full service bar in the center, and natural lighting. Perfect for photo opps ;) We ordered some things to share:-Just Peachy (4/5): This is one of their zero proof (non-alcoholic) beverages. I really enjoyed this! I love that this also came with a few raspberries which were so plump. -Yellowtail Crudo (5/5): This tasted so fresh! The combination of yellowtail with fresh orange, pistachios, mint, and avocado was incredible. Highly recommend!-Prosciutto Pizza (5/5): My ideal pizza. I love the light and crispy crust. The fig and goat cheese with the prosciutto and arugula was *chef's kiss*. The manager came by and even said that it was her favorite pizza. I couldn't agree more. -Ricotta Cavatelli (3.8/5): My fiance ordered this since he loves seafood. There was a ton of lump crab and shrimp. This dish was very rich because it was so buttery and a little too salty for my liking. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. -Dark Chocolate Budino (4/5): This wasn't my first choice but our server recommended it. This is great for sharing and I love that it's not too sweet. This chocolate dessert is a mousse that was thick and smooth. The chocolate pearls added a crunchy texture that I enjoyed. I could go without the pine nut wedding cookie though. The entire staff was in training but they did a good job!TLDR: Get the yellowtail crudo and prosciutto pizza.

*Dairy restrictions *We decided to do their valentines special three course meal, we called ahead of time but wasn't told of this special which caught me by surprise because I wanted to try their black squid ink pasta after several years. Ordered the wild shrimp scampi and substitute with oil and vinaigrette instead of butter and silician meatballs for starters. Throughout eating I noticed two of my shrimps weren't cooked evenly and I brought it up to a server and said they'll have a chef check it and came back with we'll have them toss it a bit but at the end of our night we never heard back. I wasn't going to eat it at the end but I felt like that could have been handled better. Our server was really good to us and was flexible of my restrictions. We both ordered the braised ribs Marsala and my was it super tender! I tried a bit of the desserts because it's hard for me to resist a tiramisu and I loved the tiny chocolate balls, the torta was also super good; I didn't really taste the ice cream but we wished it was a bit colder to hold shape as it melted very quickly. Though as we got our check, weirdly there was a signup to their newsletter or something but that was already information filled out by a customer it seemed and that's kind of invasion of privacy given to us mistakenly. Food was okay but service could be better. Other than that, I loved the dim lights and the new space is beautiful! Note: park at the Novus and get 2 hours validated (8$) anything over and you'll pay :) I asked about the Parkard but she didn't mention much and she said she would ask but again I never got a response on that.

I've been a fan of North Italia for a while, and with their new location opening up, I thought I'd finally give it a try! Normally, I drive to Scottsdale or Gilbert, but this was much closer, so I came in tonight (Tuesday, around 7:30) and decided to sit at the bar since there were plenty of open seats.Let me start with the positives: the food and drinks were amazing, as always. The spicy rigatoni hit the spot--especially good tonight--and my companion got the chicken parm, which was also delicious. The cocktails were also on point; I highly recommend the White Lotus! Now, onto the service--this is where things fell short. I understand that it's a new location and they might still be getting the hang of things, but sitting at an empty bar and waiting 10 minutes before being greeted and handed menus wasn't ideal, especially with three bartenders working. We started with a drink, which came out quickly, but then we ordered a salad (the arugula and avocado one). Unfortunately, it took 40 minutes for it to arrive, and it wasn't until about 20 minutes in that the bartender realized and apologized. By then, we'd already ordered our entrees, and as someone in the service industry, I know how awkward it is when an entree comes out before the starter. When the salad finally arrived, it was great! In an effort to make up for the delay, the bartender offered us a complimentary dessert. We appreciated the gesture, and the meal continued smoothly after that. When our entrees arrived, they were perfect, just like they always are. However, the issues continued after we finished our meal. The bartender who'd offered the free dessert had already clocked out, and a different bartender started talking about the dessert options. Since I knew the seasonal butter cake was a great choice, we ordered it, thinking the complimentary idea would be included. Unfortunately, it wasn't, and we were charged for it. To add a bit more frustration, it was served cold (usually, it's warm), but the flavor and presentation were great, so we let it slide. After we finished dessert, we sat there for another 20 minutes with our card on the tab, waiting to pay, while the bartender chatted with the other people at the bar.Overall, the food was excellent, but the service definitely lacked urgency and attention. I'll likely come back for the great food, but hopefully, the service improves as the location settles in.

Now open and just a hop-skip and a jump from my office and on the ASU Campus! Great location and I'm super happy it opened up so close to me!I had some colleagues in town for a quick business trip and to attend the People's Open (WMO). After a morning filled with meetings and collaboration we picked North as our lunch spot. It lived up to their other locations and the service was superb. We were greeted quickly and promptly taken to our table. I love how open and comfortable the space is....such a great vibe. We had the white truffle garlic bread to start, which is a must! I went with the bolognese and LOVED it...the freshly made pasta was the kicker. My colleagues enjoyed what they ordered as well. We all left full, happy and wanting to come back again. On a scale of 1 - 10, with how close it is to me during the week, I'm gonna smash a few more bowls of that bolognese over the next 30 days :)

I hate leaving bad reviews but this was a genuinely disappointing experience. All of our food was cold. We sent some things back and when they brought out the new dish, it was still cold. We just didn't bother complaining the 2nd time because we were so hungry. I'm assuming because it's Valentine's Day, the kitchen is under pressure trying to pump out food quickly. That being said, the food being served should not be cold. There's a lot of other things I could say about what went wrong but....The servers were nice and that's really the one nice thing I can say. I will not visit this place again.

What a perfect location to open a North Italia. This was a new location opened just over a week now. The setup of this location was really nice. Lots of seating both inside and outside with access to the bar from both areas. They had a house full of staff to help with all your needs. They got rather busy as time went on so the kitchen started to get backed up just a little bit but the manager was on top of letting guests know that their appetizers or food was on its way. The food was very delicious and full of flavors and the mocktails were also very tasty. If you're looking for good food with a good vibe I definitely recommend this restaurant and location. Also I'd like to add it was our waitress Kiana's first night and she did a fantastic job. Friendly service with a smile and always making sure we were doing alright or if we needed anything else.

I have a reservation for this location booked on Valentine's Day since we love North Italia. I'm fully expecting a 5 star dinner that evening so I'll just drop this here for now by saying every other visit we've had to other locations has been delicious. This is a new location, been being built in the ASU campus area. I pass by it weekly on my way to ASU Orange Theory location. Not sure where the parking will be, so we will see how that goes. Hoping this new spot is great like the others. I'll update my review and check in when it's open and we arrive.

We came here for Valentine's Day 2/14 as they just opened the week before. They had a 70$ per person deal for their opening. This had a 3 course meal excluding drinks. We don't have to wait long and were able to get seating at the high top. The place has lively and clean. Now here is where the disappointment begins as we don't get any recommend as the waiter seemed rushed to get our order. Once we got our appetizers the shrimp dish was not fully cooked so we asked for it to be re cooked and they took it to the back and never brought it back. There was never anyone who checked up on us so we just figured it was never coming out and to our surprise it didn't. The main course was really I enjoyed the risotto and that was the highlight of our meal. The meat was made perfectly and it was extremely flaky. The dessert was fine but nothing to rave about. Overall for 190$ I'd expect a far better service, and food. For me the service was soo bad from having to ask for utensils to not getting our appetizers it was just not a positive experience.

I checked out the new location in Tempe, only a few days after it opened. You would never know it just opened, everything ran smoothly from the wait list to getting the check. No hiccups. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The layout was great, very open and there's plenty of seating both inside and out. They have a great bar area that has both inside and outside seating; perfect this time of year. We ordered a few appetizers- the White Truffle garlic bread with spicy red sauce and ricotta, the shrimp scampi, and the arancini. I love the green sauce that comes with the arancini. The scampi was deliciously garlicky and the bread was grilled. For dinner, I actually had another appetizer, the eggplant parm, which was a hearty portion and prepared perfectly. Also had the pesto pasta, and that was delicious. I have now been to all locations of North, and one thing that will always drive repeat business is consistency. They have a great formula, lots of menu options, and even N/A cocktails too! Check out this new location. I believe our server was Kianna, and she was fabulous.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and had high expectations after reading reviews. the service was great and fast, the bread with oil we ordered was very good. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our meals as much. I got the Pesto Pasta, and it didn't seem like it was seasoned well and the pesto sauce didn't taste fresh. It wasn't horrible though I was just hoping to love it more. Beautiful restaurant though with nice staff so i'd probably try something else next time.
