Nando’s Mexican Cafe

I'll be honest, it pains me to write this review. I've been eating at Nando's for 20 years, primarily the one in Gilbert but over the years I've eaten at all of them.I have ordered food from this location on DoorDash and while something did seem off I chalked it up to it being delivered . Today was my first dine in experience with this location and my fears have been confirmed. The food just isn't the same. I typically order the green chili pork chimi border style. The filling was bland and lacked flavor or spiciness. The chips and salsa also seemed to miss the mark.The staff and the service was friendly, fast and efficient. The ambiance while different from the other locations was nice and the restaurant was clean.

Waitress is really friendly attentive Restaurant is a little pricey , the plates are big , I got the chile relleno chicken and they served me meat . Waitress was nice and returned to kitchen . My tea was not good very sour it was pomegranate tea looked like lemon . Ambience very modern and fresh .

I love coming here during the week. The restaurant is always clean and I get seated and served so quickly. The food all tasted perfect today. The rice tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The beans even tasted really good! Rice and beans are something I'm usually pretty critical of, and these guys nailed it today. Coparita wasn't as spicy as I was expecting it to be but it still tasted good and was so nice and refreshing. Keep up the great work Nandos!

Let's try again. Service was OK again, she seemed to be overwhelmed. You get chips and a carafe of salsa, they also give you a ounce of hot salsa, you can have more at request. The salsa is very good, great flavor and fresh. The shrimp Fajitas was excellent. Shrimp tails are already off and cook beautiful. The guacamole is also very good and not spicy. Not sure about the refried beans, they taste like canned, they do not taste fresh.This is a good place and will go again.

It's time to celebrate MARICOPA!!! It's opening day at Nando's.Erica was a server and she was amazing. We had the queso with spinach dip... First time having it I really enjoyed the texture of the fried flour tortilla chips. I had the Birria taco combination plate. It's one of my favorites just enough spice. Perfectly crispy and tasty with the consume broth. The faja pasta is one of my favorites they didn't offer it for the soft opening. But it is amazing. It is a chipotle cream sauce you can either have chicken, shrimp, or steak... Sometimes I ask for all three and pay the extra charge.The margaritas are awesome. On my next visit I hope to enjoy the beautiful weather and sit out on their dog, friendly patio with my puppy.

Just placed an order and they forgot my soup and then I just tried my combo plate and my chili relleno is burnt. Come on guys do better. I usually love their Rellenos.

Went here spur of the moment. Not many people were there so was seated right away. Prices were a little high but if you get there before 4 you can get pretty decent lunch prices. Our server was really nice but often forgetful and we had to keep reminding her about of things we asked for. I'd expect that if it was super busy but the place was pretty empty at the time we went. Place was decorated nicely and I really liked the murals on the wall representing our town. I didn't go over to the other side of the restaurant so can't speak on how the bar is. Will probably go back as it's the best Mexican place in town. My grandson said it was the best burger he's ever had.

My co-traveler and I were very pleased with the food, service and ambiance. Conveniently located on the corner of 347 and Edison Rd.

Let me start by saying that the staff is not the reason for a one star rating because they were all polite and attentive! Also, the seating outside is nice & they are pet friendly! What wasn't great was the food. While it was nice and hot, the flavor was not there. We ordered the birria taco platter & at $17 a plate we were expecting more. You get two tacos that didn't seem fried like it says, the beef had NO flavor, and the consume was pretty flavorless as well. I didn't finish my plate. Won't be back but enjoyed the overall experience of trying it.

Anytime a server automatically brings extra napkins to the table, you know that you have someone with experience. Warm chips & tangy salsa were brought immediately. Lunch arrived within 5-7 minutes of ordering. My food was very good, but my husband could not stop raving about Fern's Fajita Bowl. I won't even look at the menu next time, I already know what I am ordering! See you soon Nando's!
