Tried the Mozzarepa at High Street farmers market. Delicious, albeit exceedingly simple. A cornbread exterior envelopes melty mozzeralla cheese served fresh off the griddle. Kind of like a hoe cake grilled cheese.I did have to specifically ask for the pickled cabbage on the side, glad I did. The sourness/sharpness of the cabbage paired perfectly with the sweet corn of the arepa and the rich melty cheese. It really is a must accompaniment. Its worth a try as a nice little snack.

I was at the Old Town Scottsdale Farmer's market and saw this vendor. I opted to try their grilled mozzarella and cornbread sandwich/arepa. The gentleman that took my order was friendly and professional. It was buttery with a nice cheese pull. Definitely worth the try if you are there or any other place they show up.

Tried this place out at the AZ Taco Fest, the line wasn't long at all but the smell is what lead us to try the Original Mozzarepas! Great pricing & honestly what is more south west than some cornbread.. It was the first thing we had & we will definitely be going back to try more!

Best thing I had in a minute !! Tons of flavor and so soft it melts in your mouth. It comes with mozzarella cheese, green salsa and red cabbage. This is a must try if you want to have an explosion in your mouth. We also had the regular arepa with mozzarella cheese which had more of a sweet flavor compared to the shredded beef. To the lady behind making these. You're an artist.

Mozzarepas was our Phoestivus dinner. Let's pause and do a quick reflection on the Phoestivus - the best event in the Phoenix area all year. Local food and art to buy, a uniquely Phoenix Hipster Santa, a gentle giant Yeti wandering the grounds, only the nicest Phoenicians and their kids many of which are of the K9 type, and lots of food trucks to choose from. Which brings us back to Mozzarepas. Crispy grilled exterior, moist interior filled with lots of pork in my case, and huge flavor. SO good and hot, perfect for a cold Phoenix night.

Always see them posted up on 1st Fridays but the lines are always insane. Stumbled upon them at the uptown farmers market on E Bethany Home Rd and the line was the shortest I've ever encountered, so we took the opportunity to finally try something off of their menu. The menu is simple enough with the original (plain), then options of chicken, pork, beef, or mix of all 3 meats. Prices are a but much for what you're ultimately getting. We witnessed them during the grilling process and saw they unwrapped them from plastic store bought or wholesale plastic bags. So they aren't exactly homemade or freshly made. They were frozen plastic wrapped. So the only fresh ingredients going on your food is your choice of protein, either purple cabbage, pickled onions, and then either their aoili or crema. We felt gipped or fooled. I was, however, pleasantly surprised how the outer corn arepa has a natural sweetness to it. Ultimately, in my opinion, only worth trying once.

Yum! I went to an event where MozzArepas was doing the catering and I knew I had to try it. This is South American cuisine, homey yet sophisticated. Colombian menus lean heavily on beef, root vegetables and sauces more reminiscent of tangy marinades than the chunky salsas of Mexican fare.An arepa is a patty made out of cornbread and water. They can be baked or fried and then eaten plain or with fillings. Arepas originally began as just a plain snack that is eaten on a daily basis in Colombia and Venezuela (they're very similar to Pupusas from El Salvador). Eventually, the fillings evolved into more elaborate and creative combinations. There's nothing you can't fill your arepa with! Grilled to perfection and satisfying. Think a grilled cheese but a million times better.I ordered the Mixta which comes with braised beef, adobo chicken, pork, pickled red onion, purple slaw, cilantro aioli, and is of course heaping with mozzarella. In a word? Delicious! I was originally worried that it might be too heavy on a hot Phoenix day but I couldn't have been more wrong. Even with the bread, meat, and cheese, they go down lightly. The employees were friendly and generous with their time even though they were busy. They attend special events all around town and this is one food truck/pop-up that I will definitely order from MozzArepas again!

I've Never liked Arepa-anything... until tonight. Most times I've tried them in the past they've had too much cheese and too little everything else. But now I've found MozzArepas and am instantly addicted. There was ingredients and flavors and equal balance in each and every bite. I must admit though, the service was top notch, super polite and patient while we decided even though they were super busy. I wish they were closer to Tavares so I could eat from them more often. But they had such a clean, fun and family friendly setting at Lake Eola. Thank you for changing my mind forever, darn you for being so far away!

Horrible. Do not eat here if you're vegetarian. We got here first thing in the morning and I asked if the arepas were vegetarian. They said yes so I ordered. When I came to pick up it was on the grill with meat. When I mentioned it and told them I couldn't eat it since it had meat on it they didn't care or attempt to make a clean one. They handed my "vegetarian" arepa to me with beef strands on it. Yuck. Do not recommend.Edited to add: the arepas are 100% frozen first.

Terrible prices and they don't post them. At best, their food is okay. Spend your money somewhere else, this place is a joke.
