I went to MedShape office off Hayden over ten years ago to help loose the weight and look great for a reunion. They were terrific back then and are now.I'm in a different chapter in my life and the weight has slowly crept back on. So after looking into other programs I decided to take advantage of Medshape again. A really good decision.So far I am halfway towards my total weight loss goal. I have been able to maintain and keep the weight off. They are very encouraging but they also hold you accountable. They are there to get you through your setbacks and help celebrate your successes.I think the biggest compliment I can give them is that when I went to my GP for my annual check up they were very happy with my weight loss success so far. I told them how I food journal now, I keep track of my water intake and exercise, as well as practice portion control. They smiled and said you are doing all the right things!It is not cheap to get the shots but I also factor in the cost of a diet coach, if I had to get one separately. The weight mgmt program is all inclusive.

Save your money! I don't even know where to start with this review. I purchased a Living Social coupon for the 12 Week program decided to go to the Scottsdale location because it was close to my place of employment. My first appointment I arrived 15 minutes early to an office that had relocated to another building across town... that information would have been nice to know however I didn't make a huge deal because things Iike not updating your website with the new address can happen. When I called to let the office know I was at the closed location the person on the other end of the phone spoke to me as though I was an idiot. "Haven't been here for a while" she asked. "Actually I've never been" I said. "''This is my first appointment". Not a very customer service oriented person AT ALL!! When I need to schedule an appointment closer to my home on a Saturday I was told not to worry I'd be in the system and welcomed at the Peoria location. Ha-FREAKING-Ha!!!! I wasn't in the system and I WASN'T welcomed. Instead I waited nearly 20 minutes before being scrutinized about why I chose to come to the Peoria location instead of the Scottsdale location. "We just don't know if you're on your first appointment or your last". My takeaway to that comment was "you thief... how dare you try to steal from us" Called to reschedule an appointment after hours as to be respectful of their time. No voicemail. Called at open and was put on hold for 6 minutes... to be told sorry we can't accommodate your reschedule request... that's fine. I'm certainly NOT going back to the Peoria location so I guess I just threw $150 (give or take a few dollars) away. Mind you I'm only 4 weeks in to this 12 week program AND I'm done with this place.

Went from being unhealthy in a wheel chair for 11 years, obese, sleep apnea and about to have a stroke from high blood pressure. I am rating my latest experience with a 2. I ordered products and had them mailed to me. I had been a client for over a year. I didn't receive all of my order or detailed instructions for use. I contacted the office and was told the rest of my order would be sent to me. It has been over 2 months and I haven't received anything else. I have been speaking with the Facebook medshape page via messenger but that rep hasn't had any luck getting in contact with the office either. All I want now is a refund. I am very discouraged at the poor customer service.

Medshape Weight Loss Clinic may help some people lose weight. However, it definitely is not for others, as was in my case. I asked specific questions before my husband and I signed up. We stated that we wanted to find a program for both of us. I also asked if my medical condition, sjogrens, an inflammatory autoimmune disorder would interfere with my rapid weight loss as stated by the employee at MedShape and their Internet Site and I was told absolutely not. I realized that I legally could cancel within three days of signing but the problems due to my age of which they were aware and my medical situation proved that to be incorrect. Even the information we had to fill out had my birth date and showed that I was 69 years old. All the medications I take were listed. Every question I asked was answered that this diet would be very good for me. They advertise quick, healthy weight loss. I was very happy to try a program with quick weight loss, be healthy for me, and, with a doctor on staff, could produce excellent results. We signed up for the longest program of 18 weeks, costing well over $2000.00.Nothing was further from the truth for me. I had a very slow weight loss (approximately one pound a week). With fruit restrictions, minimal carbohydrates, I immediately had problems with constipation and felt it necessary to take laxatives every three days. Then, I was told not to have any fruit (2 specific ones are allowed) because their sugar content might be interfering with my weight loss. When that didn't work, they told me to only have fruit early in the day. It made no difference. Each week, the person I spoke with would say the group of employees at this location were working on helping me and asked me to let them come up with a plan. They consulted the doctor was told that perhaps I had a problem with my thyroid or insulin level and I was told that it might help if I took Metformin, a drug used for type 2 diabetes which I didn't have. I told them I've been tested and did not have diabetes. Since they kept insisting, I went for the test and both showed normal. I met with the doctor and he convinced me that since the tests showed results in the higher end of the spectrum of normal, to take the drug. At this point, I was thoroughly frustrated with my weight loss even though I followed all the rules explicitly. The instructions were to take one pill for a period of time and increase to two. Well, when I started taking two, I had uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea. When I went in to check my weight, I had lost four pounds. However, a four pound loss was due to the bad reaction I had from the drug. The employee called the doctor and he said to go back to one pill. Their doctor told me that due to my age and sjogrens, that I was doing remarkably well by losing slowly. He added in the four pounds I lost after three days of throwing up and diarrhea to my total. That was ridiculous. I no longer trusted anything they said and left. I told her I was going to ask for a refund. They said that since I didn't cancel in the first three days, I wouldn't get it. How was I supposed to know then especially since the questions I asked about my age and condition proved to be the stumbling block? I feel cheated and after going through better business bureau who ended up telling me they couldn't do anything since MedShape wouldn't respond. What was told to me when I signed up was a lie about how fast I would lose. What was told to me that I'd be healthier was another lie. Be careful before you sign up.

Five stars and awesomeness to Jennifer and Tara of MedShape Weight Loss Clinic, Peoria, Arizona.Professional, courteous, and always friendly and knowledgeable of their products. Will advise you on what works best for you, as they recognize everyone is different, and will have a plan for you. They even have programs for you to maintain your weight loss, so no worries, all your hard work and effort will be worth it. I plan on staying on "maintenance" for life, the products are just that "great."So glad I found MedShape Weight Loss Clinic. I have been going to MedShape for years. Whenever I need an extra boost to lose those 10 or so pounds, I go here. But, the past few visits have been very unpleasant. When I first signed up, it was particularly because of the "no judgment zone" and the encouragement. But, I have seen Amber multiple times and she is a complete waste of my time and has judged me every time. I asked the front desk to put on my file to never have her "see/judge" me and the front desk lady said that's very common. If it's very common, why hasn't management done anything? If they have, it's not working. I miss the girls that were here a couple years ago as they were very encouraging and helped you lose the weight that you needed to. In addition, Kelly is probably the most awesome person.At the moment, until Amber is gone, I have to rate this place a 1 star because of her lack of customer service. She TALKS so much I want to tell her to just STFU.
