My one of favorite mariscos places, everything is always fresh, fast service, can be a little loud inside with grupo/banda that is playing, everyone is always friendly, they're opened up spacing since I starting going there, use to be just one space, they've expanded since, nice to see they're growing! Loved it! This is a great little place in Mesa. After leaving L.A. I didn't think that I would find a place this good. I see that Mariscos El Viejon has a great following. I never saw a restaurant turn tables like this place has. If you're looking for a place just to have taco and drinks or a nice dinner, then this is a must try. This will be our new get a way.

I haven't found a good seafood restaurant in Arizona yet. El Viejon was ok. If you're ever in Downey, CA try Mariscos Choix...they are the BEST and the Micheladas too!!!

I stopped by for a pick up order of seafood soup. The menu listed the cost at $17 and I was charged $25. I didn't care too much about that because I would rather pay for something I thought I was going to enjoy. The soup was poorly packed in a flimsy container and was boiling hot. Not even ten minutes into my drive the soup top cracked open... they used the type of cover that is used in a McDonald's soda. The scalding hot soup cracked the lid. I called the manager Will and explained the situation. He offered to make another soup and I told him I wanted a refund. Will agreed. I arrived at the restaurant and asked to speak with Will, and another manager Ava proceeded to open the soup bag and accused me of dropping the soup on the floor and refused my refund. They are thieves.
