wow was this place was scrumptious, the lady taking the money had outstanding customer service skills, she made you feel at home so fast and she answered all my questions effortlessly, i got the soy empanada plate which she said she liked better than the beef and the soy one was so flavorful especially with the green sauce, i finished the whole plate fast and i tried the coconut soda which was yummy if you like coconut, my toddler really liked the rice too, overall amazing experience and i would definitely eat here again

Spectacular! Empanada is fresh and flavorful. The salsa makes it somethin' special along side with it. Crisp, tasty, spiced beefy, perfect proportion combo. For realz. The mac salad is stellar, really out of this world delicious. Had to be my fav.. mac salad. Creamy and slightly tangy, but just perfection. Never change that recipe! The mac salad with the yellow rice seemed to complement each other just right. Two adults split the empanada meal, so for $14 it's a real steal. Thank u for creating these delicious delicacies. Sorry, No pics posted bc we ate it all and licked the plate clean.... :) And the folks workin' the truck def interacted with our PHX community that are genuine, sincere, pros, and friendly! A+++

As a Puertorican in Az and in Gilbert to be more exact, MAMI'S Cocina is hands down authentic and delish! My favorite is definitely the arroz con gandules made fresh (I can tell) and the chuleta (pork chop), wait, the chicken skewers with the ArroZ con abichuela (rice and beans) is too!!!! Honestly it's the best.... From the music playing, the food truck aesthetic is amazing, and the food is great! I've been a few times already and I'm sure I'll be going anytime I want some homemade PR food (when I'm not in the mood to make it myself)

AMAZING! 10/10 recommend, $12 got me a big plate of home cooked food! Will absolutely look for them next time I'm in the downtown Gilbert area!

I am so glad to finally have some good Puerto Rican food close to me! Not only were they super nice, the food was also really good! I had the empanada plate. It came with rice, beans, macaroni salad and platano maduro. I had white rice with beans and they were sooo good. my daughter is really picky and only eats her nanas white rice and beans and she loved theirs! The food tastes fresh and authentic. Definitely recommend this place and would for sure come back...often.

Literally such an amazing experience from food to interaction!!! First, the food was so flavorful, I've never had Puerto Rican food before but you can tell this was authentic , the empanadas were so addicting, the rice was amazing, and coming from a Jamaican girl, it has it's Caribbean flare. Secondly, the interaction was amazing, I felt so welcomed and it gave such a family like vibe. This is definitely the spot you want to be at for incredible food and awesome vibes.
