Makutu's Island

This place is a blast! This place doesn't disappoint for kids to explore and go wild. I used to take my older kids here 15-20 years ago and now the 2 and 4 year olds are having a blast too! If you're news or past 50 an hour is a heck of a workout! Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Weekdays are a great time to go, lots of free space to roam!

Hands down the best kids birthday party venue! We celebrated my kid's birthday this weekend. We had never tried Makutu's until about 10 days ago when I went to check it out as a possible venue for the birthday. The staff were very welcoming, especially Lacey. She showed us around and discussed the various packages. She also made recommendations and asked about the theme for the party. I booked online and received a follow up two days later to confirm all the details. I also got a text from Lacey confirming the theme a couple of days after. Booking online was super easy and I only had to pay the deposit in advance. Two days before the party, I discussed all the final details with Lacey and we were all set. Day of: we arrived half an hour before our time slot to allow for time to decorate the room and I needed to decorate my kid's birthday cake. The team completely decorated the room for us, it was superb. All I had to do is give them the decoration and they took care of everything. They also displayed our cake after I decorated it, set up our cupcakes on the cupcake towers and displayed the goodie bags. They also had a gifts table set up which they had all the gifts on after the guests arrived and placed their gifts on the welcome cart in the reception area. The first hour was kids playing and when the time came to celebrate in the party room, an announcement was made so everyone would head to the room . We had a dedicated party host who was fantastic. Savanah did an excellent job with the kids. She served all the food and cake and was very helpful the whole time. When the party was over, everything was packed for us including all the leftover food, cake and cupcakes and everything was placed in the refrigerator until we were ready to leave. All our guests was extremely impressed with the location, the party room and the service and the kids had a blast. This is the first time that we felt that we got what we paid for and we were super glad we chose Makutu's this year for our birthday celebration. The place is clean, service is immaculate and the food was very good! I cannot recommend Makutu's enough for any birthday parties. It was worth every penny!

Makutu's island is so fun for my son, he loved running around and exploring the indoor park. There were so many surprises at each turn and kept him busy for 2 hours. We loved how there was a arcade with a lot of fun games ranging from pinball machines, claw games, and others. Overall, the place is clean, staff is kind, and really cool tiny aquarium inside.

My grandson enjoyed his 12th birthday at Makutu's and it was great! We had 12 kids and in the party rooms the staff take care of everything from decorating to helping with food and serving people. It was effortless on our part. Staff were great, interacted well with the children and couldn't have made it easier for us! Fantastic birthday- or any special event. We love Makutu's!

I needed to book a last minute 7th birthday for my daughter. I called at 10am same day, praying they could assist for a 2:30pm, yes... 4 hours ahead of the time for a party of 8 (3 adults and 4 kids)... and they arranged a nice area in the cafe and even helped decorate the area. I was so grateful that I tried to tip the courteous staff $10, he said no thanks just put that towards food.I ordered 3 small icees, 3 pizzas (these are large, and they cut them up into kid size pieces - so like 18 slices per pie.. lol... ), I had 2.5 pizzas left over. I also orders chicken tenders (surprisingly good), curly fries, fried cauliflower, and two fried pickles orders..... with tax... it was $105... now you can't get better than that.Great place for kids, staff are helpful and nice.Several of the adults was like, wow... that was good food. And they happily took home leftovers.Highly, Highly recommended if you need to throw a budget friendly last minute party.

Took my kiddos here today. Kids liked it. I find the price to be expensive for what is offered here. You need to buy a game card if you want to play in arcade area or want to go on the small rides. I would have felt comfortable paying this price if I saw that they were actually putting money into fixing some of the old massage chairs or toddler area with ripped pads. Seems like a good concept but reminds me of a large McDonald's playroom.

This place is OUTSTANDING, it's amazing. There is so much to do, it's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I love this place. The play area is so large there is never ending fun for kids to have! Tons of climbing, a real waterfall that actually goes through the play area and you can touch the water. They really went to far lengths to make it feel like a real jungle and I just love it. My kids absolutely adore this place. There is even massage chairs for parents and they are an extra perk I do not mind. Nothing like a $5 15 minute massage while the kids play.The detail in all the jungle play area is astonishing, my daughter will sit and stare at the fish in the fish tank for a good 30 minutes, naming all the fish and watching them. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to keep the kids busy!

Very nice time here. I especially like their safety protocols so that they know you leave with the same kids you came with. Facility is clean and a nice place to escape the summer heat. There is a designated spot for 3 and under. I felt totally comfortable letting my 5 year old run around.The arcade is a separate charge. My only gripe is that they charge adults for admission when the adults don't use the facility. We have to pay to sit around and watch our kids. Please note - this place is for little kids, I would say 8 and under. Please don't bring your tweens and teens here.

I do like the location but I am concerned about safety. Definitely fun for 8 years and up but most of the exhibits are scary to me for younger children. As a Grandmother, I made myself climb through everything to spot my 5 year old Granddaughter. There is a great risk of falling off of the climbing tubes. I'm 5'3 and whacked my head exiting one of the slides. I literally saw stars. We did have a great time during a week day visit. I would not attend during busier times.Several of the games took our money but I let it slid because I just wanted to leave after having whacked my head.Older kids will love it! You must be willing to climb through and help smaller children. I helped a 3 & 6 year old who was stuck a few times. I used my camera flashlight when they were scared in front of us. I would not recommend just turning kids loose without supervision. The concept is great but some issues with execution.

Lacey is amazing! From working the check in, taking our food order and running the frog hopper this place wouldn't be as amazing without her good spirits! Thanks Lacey for making us want to come back!
