Today we were in the area and dropped in for a lunch for two.The photos show the dining room which was "not busy" for the lunch patrons.Ambiance is modern with colors providing the Mexican vibe. Macayo's falls into the good Americanized Mexican food experience. The restaurant has always been kept clean.Despite it NOT being busy the acoustics of the dinning area with large open tiled spaces carries conversations around the room. This is the reason I dropped my rating one star. Great place for Lunch (no crowds) serving great food. ServiceBrenna was our server. She kept our Ice Teas full and stopped by to check on us regularly. Kudos to Brenna!$$

Got right in and was attended to by Hoe who was very nice and had my Diet Pepsis coming one after another. I had amazing service and the ambiance was well lit and quiet. Service with a smile. Great food. Very clean, organized restaurant and waitstaff.I joined the rewards program as well.

My first visit. Came for Lunch about 12:30. Very crowded which is always a good sign. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes. Nobody came. Waited in line at the Hostess Stand. She said I could sit at the bar and she'd tell the Bartender. Bottom line, the Green Chili Pork may be the best I've ever had. It was delicious. The Service was quite slow. Not enough Staff. I will be back because of the excellent food but I'll try to come at an off-peak time. Management is definitely lacking.

We're ALWAYS satisfied here! The prices are reasonable and the food is hot and yummy! Not too spicy salsa, HOT chips and I especially like their guacamole! We had the happy hour chimichangas - beef is my preferred. Also had the green chili quesadilla and carne Asada fries! Our server was fast! And we received our food quickly! It can get busy, but you'll have a nice place to sit, relax and enjoy your company! Recommend!

The "birthplace" of the chimichanga. It better be good...it was. Too bad that was the only thing. Beans tasted like burnt matter. Rice had little taste. Homemade hot sauce tasted like runny tomato paste. Margaritas have to be great here right? If Koolaid made a margarita flavor this would be it. I decide to order another, but this time top shelf hoping to redeem this place and it was very bitter. Both drinks tasted like it came from Applebees. Service was slow. She used the table next to us to drop stuff off. Did not see how we were doing after we got our food. So yeah; not impressed.

I've been to this location several times. The service is always fast and friendly and it was no different this time. The food is always delicious and I love heir margaritas! The chips weren't super fresh this time which was a bummer because they have such amazing salsa! I like when they come out warm and they weren't quite stale but you could tell they had been sitting out for a while. Other than that, everything was great! An extra little tip, bring a jacket if you run a little cold like me, it's always freezing in there.

A desert gem FOR SURE. Fantastic covered patio if you're into that. Spacious and spaced out tables. Great for a crowd or date night. I have been here three times in the last 6 months and every visit has been awesome incredibly friendly wait staff that goes ABOVE AND BEHIND. The food is great- my most recent dish was the fiesta salad and it was fresh as can be. Prices are good for what you get and they keep the chips and salsa flowing. Show up for lunch and save some cash with the lunch specials. Fantastic place to stop in for a bite- cannot say enough good things about them. The guacamole appetizer comes with Queso fresco on top. New to me, but it works.

Went today after hearing about an Anniversary $0.78 Crispy Taco special. Haven't been to a Macayo's in years. A $0.78 taco special has to be a waiter nightmare.. but my server was very cheerful and friendly. My expectations were pretty low for a $0.78 taco... but these were normal sized and full of meat, lettuce, cheese and diced tomato. Mine weren't very hot... I can imagine that they cook a million at once and have them precooked and ready to plate up. I was there at about 2pm... After the lunch rush. Beef was plentiful (especially given the price).. but a little bland. Watch out for bones.. I got a small one in mine. No big deal. It's real beef! Definitely improved by a spoonful of salsa (which... sadly, was very, very mild). Even so.. it was an incredible value in these inflationary times and service was pleasant. I'll go back (maybe for fajitas)

Came here tonight with some family to celebrate a birthday!! We had a reservation and arrived right on time, but still wound up waiting about 10-15 minutes. Our server was with us quickly and took our drink order, which came out timely as well.They offer free chips and salsa as an appetizer while you're waiting for your meal! They gave our party of five 4 salsas. My mom and grandma kept mentioning that theirs was a bit spicy, but myself and my cousin disagreed. It wasn't until the very end of our meal that we noticed they supplied 2 different heat levels! The waitress didn't tell us that there was a difference.I ordered mini chimichangas, as I wasn't very hungry from all the chips. My meal was good! Everything seemed pretty fresh. The cheese on top wasn't melted very well, not sure if that's how it's supposed to come or not. The rest of our party got burritos and chicken fajitas. Our server was kind, and kept checking in on us.I love Mexican food and I will never be disappointed to go to a Macayos! The prices are average, the service is quick, workers are friendly, and they have the golden COMPLIMENTARY CHIPS AND SALSA!
