Food: Delicious. I love sushi. Tasted fresh. Some places taste fishy. The crab meat in the Snow Crab Leg was real. Yum! The spicy salmon crunchy hand roll was tasty. The soy paper was interesting. It didn't have a distinct flavor. I would get it again. I think they had real wasabi made from the wasabi root and not the fake green wasabi. The spicy salmon was tasty. You could tell that it was made with real fresh salmon. Loved the caterpillar roll. The avocado on top tasted fresh. The crunchy roll was good. Light crunch. The golden crunchy roll was just as good, with a little added flavor. The southern blue fin toro had a strong tuna fish taste. Very umami!Atmosphere - I did not visit the restroom. The restaurant was initially a good temperature, but got cold at some point. Bring a jacket! I have been to some places where it's been hot. They have some counter seating where you sit next to strangers. They also have booth seating. No patio. There is a long bench at the front where you can sit and wait for them to seat you especially when they are busy. Service - There were many employees. It was confusing at first. You should either register online before you get there or register on the little pad on the left of the door as soon as you arrive. They seem busy a lot of times and don't have any available booths or counter space. They asked us if we had registered, then told us to register on the pad. While registering on the pad, they asked us if we wanted to sit at the counter. I asked what that would look like and they didn't answer that. So, I continued registering on the pad. While doing so, they then told me that they had a booth available and then took us to the back. I didn't complete registering on the pad. The service here after that was mostly self service. The sushi comes on a top conveyer belt if you order it off of the pad on the wall at the table. Once it is ready, it zooms to your table and stops in front of you. It zooms so fast no one else will catch it unless they want to risk dropping the plate and food I think. You can order drinks and glasses of water for which the little robot will bring you. It plays a little song and says some things. You can even specify how many glasses of water. Otherwise, the lower conveyer belt has sushi that is labeled that you can take off the belt if you like it. You have to pinch the plate and brown bottom part hard to get the lid to pop open. They have instructions posted on the wall. Supposedly, if you order a certain amount of plates you get a toy. You can deposit your plates in a slot at the front of the table where the conveyer belts are located above. It counts and keeps track of the plates. At the end you can scan a QR code and pay, or you can call for service. Parking - Surface lot parking only. No parking structures or parking meters.Future - Will be coming back for more. The health record on Yelp shows that they have a great score at this time.

Fun conveyor belt sushi joint to try out. Came here for a weekday dinner and was seated quickly - just 10 minutes on the waitlist. It is $3.40 per sushi plate on the slow-moving lower belt. Sadly I noticed many of the plates had clearly been sitting there too long, with dried-out fish that was far from fresh. The restaurant has some fun quirks, finishing 15 plates grants you a prize capsule (worth $3.40 itself), and a robot that brings your drinks to the table. IMO the experience is much better if you order directly from the screen. Not just for the non-regular plates, but also for if you want fresher sushi. They are delivered via the high-speed upper belt, which is also fun to watch. The sushi we ordered this way was good, and the tonkotsu ramen was tasty. While the concept and tech are entertaining, the quality varies too much depending on how you get your food. For the price, it's a decent experience, just know that freshness can be hit or miss.

Fun place to take the kids after school, or a nice little date night restaurant. This is conveyor belt sushi with a twist. For every 15 plates you order, you get a little toy that drops directly to your table (key-chains, buttons, etc.). It's not for the weak though; each plate is roughly $3.40, so you're looking to spend at least $50 before tax/tip to get a toy... that you can also order for $3.40... but where's the fun in that? There's very little interaction with the servers here, and at most, you'll interact with them when you get seated at your table. Other than that, you order everything either on a touch-pad, pull it from the conveyor belt, or get your drinks from a cute smiling, singing robot. It's a great place to be if you just do not want to interact with others too much.I've had better sushi for sure, and for the price, I always make sure to actually eat some food before I go so that I don't spend too much money. The gimmick is super fun, and if you're going with a group, it may not cost as much as opposed to trying to hit the 15+ plates by yourself.

- $3.50/plate, larger/unique items are higher priced- Very silly robot and cutscenes that play for every 15 plates eaten, includes a cool little prize- Servers are always available at the press of a button, and kept the whole environment well maintained (inside AND outside)- Sea Urchin, Umami Cucumber Salad, and Squid was funky, but all the other options were really tasty- Did eat with group, but can imagine eating solo would be beneficial- Recommended Budget: $30-40 per person for a big-back full gut, $20-30 per person for well-fed gut

When I'm craving for salmon skin hand roll, this is my jam! Unfortunately whoever has been rolling the hand rolls may need refresher on how to do it. Lately the hand rolls have been slacking.

my daughter brought me and her sisters for lunch here for the first time. it's actually pretty good, the waiter was helpful and nice. The restaurant was clean. Food, taste fresh , if there was a downside was the majority of the plates that passes by were empty we had to wait a while till new sushi passed around, some never came, it is pretty cool that you can order what you want from the screen if you want something different but not all items we wanted were on the screen, we just waited for it to pass by but never came. Overall , food was fresh and good. Restaurant was kept clean and i would definitely come back.

My husband was out of town for Valentine's Day so it was just my 5 year old daughter and I for a girls date night. I wanted to do something special and fun so a student of mine recommended Kura. I checked the reviews and they were kind of all over the place so my expectations were pretty low. I opted for experience over "quality" according to the comments, but to my surprise and delight, I loved it. I thought the whole thing was so fun. This was my first time doing revolving sushi so I didn't know what to expect but I thought everything was good. Good variety, and you can order your rolls fresh if you miss it on the conveyor belt. Also if you order 15 plates you get a prize which my daughter loved. The servers were helpful in explaining everything because I had questions and they were happy to answer. All in all, we'll definitely be back. I don't know if maybe I went in with low expectations, but again I was pleasantly surprised.

We wanted to go to a revolving sushi restaurant and this was a very fun place! The host brings you to your table and explains everything very well. We order drinks from the touchscreen tablet menu, as well as other items we want directly to the table. A robot server brings drinks to our table! Super cute and novel. Direct orders come on the belt above the regular sushi belt. It's quick and nice knowing it didn't go through rounds of tables! The plate dispenser is easy to use and the plate counter (found on the screen) immediately updates so there's no guessing. On the 15th plate, we get a prize from the Gachupon above! Very entertaining! Also, watch the tablet as you enter plates because there is a story line with your journey to 15 plates! While the experience was quite enjoyable, the sushi itself is alright. It's not as fresh and thoughtfully made as an authentic, well-established sushi restaurant. But that is to be expected as most revolving sushi isn't of that quality. So, as long as you lower that expectation, you'll have fun with the entertaining features!

Sushi + Conveyor Belt = Happiness Best way to try new sushi that you otherwise wouldn't because if you order 8 pieces and don't like it you wasted money. Love the concept and the location. The kids love the toy you get after so many plates. They always have seasonal favorites that are just so good! If you like ramen or fried rice that have this too so if someone in the group isn't a sushi person don't let that stop you from stopping in!

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a pretty neat place. You walk in, and get seated. That's about the last time you deal with the human staff. After that, there's a tablet above your head that you can order everything off of. Kura has everything from boba, to orange chicken, to fried rice, to every sushi roll imaginable, appetizers, and a variety of desserts. A robot.. yes, a robot, brings you your drinks. It's very friendly and even says hi. Technology is getting pretty scary. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls... wish I could remember all of the names. I do remember a few things I got: California Roll, Seared Beef with Yakinuku Sauce, Scallop Roll, Chicken Gyoza Dumpling, Strawberry Mochi and a Taiyaki Ice Cream dish. Everything was AMAZING. Some of the best sushi I've ever had. When you're done, you put the plates in a slot and they add up the prices on the tablet so they can charge you. I'll definitely be back for more.
