First let me say we had no idea this kids empire was open in laveen. We have gone to the Greenway and Gilbert locations and even visited the San Antonio location while on vacation. But I can assure you this will be our new goto location. The staff was friendly, proactive with the kids and the place is exceptionally clean. I made it a point to meet the manager (I hope i don't mess up her name) Alyia she was professional, informative and very good with her staff and customers. Thank you Alyia and your staff for making our visit such a positive one. We will be seeing you soon.

It seems as though every time I come here, there's some new nonsense going on. This is my 5th or 6th time here since this location has opened. Every single time I come, I have the kids wear their gripper socks so that when they inevitably run (despite being reminded not to) from the slide or whatever, they can hopefully be spared falling. Well today, they aren't allowed to wear gripper socks and I had to purchase a couple pairs. With all of the climbing and running kids do here, what's the issue with gripper socks? Like I said, always something...

First off, I would like to say that the Kids Empire in Phoenix Laveen looks very nice, my daughters had fun, and it is a clean play place. Second, I would like to add that the rest of the staff was very nice, and I have no quarrel with them. (Sebastian had exceptional de-escalation skills and provided the professionalism I look for as a customer. Definitely an employee to promote.)I have thought long about this, and I am trying to come at this from an equitably fair standpoint. We went for my daughter's friend's birthday. It was our first time at Kids Empire. The mother of the birthday girl (BGM) told us before hand that our daughter was covered under the birthday special, Kids Empire would be providing pizza, and I would have to pay roughly $20 for my other daughter to join the party (all sounded kosher). Upon arrival, there were discrepancies with this information, and the manager (Aaliyah Lopez) was having an argumentative discussion with the birthday girl's mom (BGM). Manager Aaliyah was easily frazzled, rude, and became frustrated. Her irate demeanor seemed to stem more than just from the situation at hand. BGM asked multiple times to speak to Manager Aaliyah's boss, to which her response was, "I'm not allowed to give you their number." Manager Aaliyah continued to escalate the situation, and BGM realized she was in an argument with a child, so BGM decided to go with whatever Manager Aaliyah was saying as all the guests were arriving. BGM had to have relatives rush out to get pizzas, as now they were not being provided. As I got to the front of the line to get bracelets (which are to note what party you are with), Manager Aaliyah was my cashier. I was pleasant despite her attitude, and she said all four of us would be counted on the BGM's list. I said only my one daughter, as I would like to pay for my other daughter. She then (exaggeratedly aggravated and visibly distressed) went on to say that it'll be $33+ for my one daughter to be let in as part of the party, and if I want to pay separately, I could take it up with the BGM. I stepped out of line and politely excused myself. I had to have my wife take my invited daughter in separately so BGM would not be charged more per guest. I then got back in line and asked to pay $20+ for regular all-day entry for my other daughter. Manager Aaliyah continued with her anger and stated that she would let me pay that amount but that my daughter and I were not allowed to be seen near the party. She more specifically said that if I see you congregating near their party, I will have to kick you out, and there will be consequences for the party. She said my daughters could play together in the play area, but they weren't allowed to be seen near each other sitting at the party. I didn't want to continue a conversation with her after that rude display, so I paid $20+ and, for the first hour and a half, sat 5 tables away from the party along with other invitees. However, I witnessed another party happening on another side, and the manager's treatment was VERY respectful and different. I don't understand why, but the party had an hour left, and Manager Aaliyah had an employee notify our party; she had called the police, and we needed to pack up and leave. BGM asked Manager Aaliyah if she was racist; Manager Aaliyah did not dispute it, and the other employees nodded their heads up and down to BGM, Manager Aaliyah then walked into the back to stew. The mother from the other kids party asked if it was okay if they weren't clean by 5, and Manager Aaliyah replied, "Ya, take your time". Mind you, the other party seemed to have no issues. I realized, and this is my opinion here, that Manager Aaliyah seemed to actually be racist, as the two parties were treated so differently, and the only difference I could see was the color of the parents. I have rarely seen something like this, and I am truly appalled. Not only does Manager Aaliyah need to be addressed by Kids Empire, but I believe BGM deserves an apology. If it wasn't racism, it sure seemed like it, I call upon Kids Empire, make it right.

This place is waaaaaaay overpriced. I just paid $25 dollars for one child, socks included, but it is still too expensive compared to uptown jungle and skyzone. They have one little motorcycle ride and air hockey table but you have to pay extra for the kids to play with those, and it's not cheap either! which is absurd! The structure of the place is well built and colorful, makes it beautiful and inviting, but there are a lot of dead empty spaces that serves no purpose. It doesn't offer more fun options for the kids. It does not have a trampoline and it does not have a climb wall, and both skyzone and uptown jungle offer that. The idea that you can use the same ticket to come back later in the day, does not appeal to me. I would prefer to have limited time to play, but access to all toys and rides.Would not recommend and will probably not come back again.
