While out and about today I happened upon a post on social media that Junkies Coffee was nearby and of course had to drive over and check them out. I thought I'd been to most if not all the coffee trucks around the west valley so I was excited to give them a try. While talking with one of the owners I found out they've been around since about 2014, but they typically do a lot of their business through special events, catering and of course the stop today in Surprise near the new Fry's shopping center off of 163rd ave and Pat Tillman. The coffee truck is easy to spot with great signage. The menu is pretty great and even offering your pumpkin spice. I typically drink cold brew, but they were out today. It just means I'll have to come back another day. Service was awesome and we felt very welcomed. I ordered a Caramel Craze with espresso infused milk (yum) while my son enjoyed a strawberry lemonade. We had our drinks quickly. Mine was topped with whip and extra caramel. The coffee was smooth and the perfect amount of flavor. It was not overly sweet or bitter. My son said it was one of the best lemonades he's ever had. It wasn't sour, but you could tell it was fresh. Their lemonade is made with only three ingredients. Lemons of course, came sugar and filtered water. Prices were fair for a food truck/coffee cart. I'd pay a bit more either way for quality. Which I found in Junkies. The vibe is what you make it of course because today it was parked in a dirt lot with another food truck. Everyone was welcoming and it was a nice day. Great stop.
