This bakery is located inside of Lee Lee Supermarket. They have a variety of Asian cakes, pastries, steam buns and baked goods. I love their curry beef pastry. It's flakey and buttery with a savory curried minced beef and onion and very tasty. It makes for a perfect snack. Today I decided to also try the BBQ pork pastry which is huge. It was also good but a little salty for my taste. They're both $3.50 which is very reasonable. The gentleman working today was very kind.

J Fortune Bakery is inside the Lee Lee International Supermarket located in Chandler, AZ. This bakery holds a very small space. They sell cakes, pastries, baked goods, and steamed buns. At first glance of the cakes, I thought they were old cakes because they appeared discolored. However, that's not the case. The cakes are in plastic form. It makes me wonder if the customer has to order the cake and not be able to buy it at a whim. Anyway, there was a limited variety of baked goods. Tons of steamed buns sold by the bag though... bun fillings come in red bean taro, veggie, chicken, and bbq pork. There's a sign that says the buns are cold so please do let the staff know should you plan to buy them and want them heated up.My eldest daughter and I didn't see anything to our liking, hence, we didn't buy anything. There was a spur of the moment where I felt bad for this bakery because there were no customers at the time. I had an inclination to offer my support & patronage and buy something, but I didn't. I'm sure they do just fine if they are still in business. If you're in the area, come on by and support your neighborhood J Fortune Bakery!

I always stop by J fortune bakery when I at Lee Lees for a "pick me up". I ordered a taro and chicken n vegetable bun. One was heated which I ate in the car, the other a took home. They were both really good. I'm not a bun expert, or at least this kind, but they seemed a little airy. The meat to bun ration was like 1:5.

Sorry I'm not a fan. Slices lacked consistency in size and that fresh look when they are just piped with whipped cream. However, I decided to try a piece to get over my curiosity. Unfortunately, it only tasted worst than it looked. The cream was that off the shelf cool whip, pandan cake was dry, and the pieces of mango in the middle cream layer did not seem fresh. Decided to throw away after a couple of bites.

This is an outstanding little bakery inside of Lee Lee Market. You really owe it to yourself to come here!!!My squeeze was about to have her birthday, and she had casually remarked that she'd like to try one of their cakes from here. So I came by to order a cake, and they were *really* pleasant to work with for designing the cake. They have several models, several options for fillings, icings, topping, etc., and their prices are extremely reasonable. While I was there, I figured I might as well pick up a few pieces of other cakes, just to try 'em out. You know. They were looking at me.*THEN* when I went to pay, I noticed their selection of baked buns and all sorts of goodies, so I had to get a few curry beef buns and BBQ pork buns. Man oh man, I'm glad I did, because those have now become a regular staple in the casa. So I ordered my girlfriend's cake, and arranged to pick it up the next day. Well, when I arrived the next day to pick it up, it wasn't ready. There'd been a misunderstanding on the ticket (a really simple mix-up, honestly) but the cake wasn't ready. The girl who was working there was so apologetic, got right on the phone with the owner, and asked if I could come back in an hour to pick it up. They literally dropped everything that they were doing in order to make that cake for me, and I really appreciated that. They were very apologetic and kind about the whole thing. So yeah... great food, great people, and definitely worth checking out!

I usually buy their products at Lee Lees on Cactus Ave in the west side of town. Although it is about a 12 mile drive I still go as I really like their breads. Each one is small (4.5 oz+-) which I cut in half for my morning coffee. Love the taste as it is not sweet like so many other breads and rolls you buy elsewhere. My favorites were the coconut and the custard breads. The last 2 times I have made the trip I have found on the shelf one package that has a live fly packed inside. Makes me wonder as to how clean their bakery is. Why are flies even inside a food preparation area?Without the additional fly my star rating would be much higher.

Located inside Lee Lee Oriental Supermarket, J. Fortune Bakery sits next to the produce and baked goods section. They make a number of steamed buns, cakes, breads, and pastries Asian style. The wedding cakes looked gorgeous. The woman in front was very helpful with my selection of goods to take home. I love green tea buns, bbq and savory buns, and red bean paste buns. These are so good and they had each and every one that they make by hand. She suggested a rolled green tea cake, which I thought was going to be a bit much but when I got it home, it was so light and creamy. It was filled with a green tea whipped cream. Yum. I ordered steamed chicken buns and the bbq buns, which were moist, soft, and had very light but good flavors. The red bean paste buns were more dense and had a great sweet red bean flavor. The prices were pretty reasonable as well, I had a small bag filled with goodies for $12. A definite must stop whenever I am at Lee Lee's! Also, ask for a discount card. After you collect 10 stamps, you get a $10 free reward. I am not sure about the expiration date, so you will have to ask.

Soooooo good. We tried several things: coconut bread, a custard pastry, and these little pancakes that were custard and coconut flavored. A few days have passed and I'm still dreaming of them. Light and not overly sweet. Just plain yummy. I was told that they only make the little pancakes on the weekends. So plan accordingly. They are separate from the market so you pay at their booth. Which I didn't mind because I was able to eat my goodies while they were still warm. We will be back. Like every weekend. No, seriously. Like EVERY weekend. Lol.
