Irene's Real Mexican Food

Nice service. Salsa was good cold but spicy and chips fresh! #4 combo was almost great, the beef taco and bean tostado were tasty, the beef tamale was dry but the beans and were also good! I had the salad with green chili and refried beans and no shell. It was delicious and filling. The green chili was a little runny which made the salad and refried beans a little soupy but still good. Tender pork and beef. Great waitress

I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken burrito enchilada style with red sauce. Our server was incredibly kind without being overbearing. She's a local that was born and raised in Globe. We had time to chat a little and learn about her thoughts and feelings about her hometown and she has nothing but kind and loving things to say. I'm very impressed with our entire experience there. It's a family friendly restaurant with amazing food and I highly recommend!

Wow don't know what happened. This place used to be great. Patsy was friendly but got our order wrong and charged us a lotFor something we didn't order. The salsa tastes like a spicy tomato sauce. It was sweet and not good. The green chili chimichanga was also sweet. Didn't care for it. My man ordered a carne asada burrito and end up getting a gollo plate that they charged double for. Nothing tasted good. The sodas were flat. Hate to say it. But we won't go back. Sad to see things change. I'm giving two stars to be kind.

I absolutely love this place! It's clean, super fast, friendliest waiters and such great food! I've been coming here for years doing takeout orders as I pass through town. I recently decided to dine in and loved the experience. We ordered a cheese quesadilla for the kids and my husband and I had beef tacos, beans and cheese enchiladas and everything was so flavorful and perfect. Highly recommend the #1 with double beans! Can't wait to return next time I'm in Globe!

The service was amazing. My chicken enchiladas were very dry. The beans were great . My plate was supposed to come with rice and there was not any. I cannot recommend this restaurant in good faith.

So headed back to South Dakota where good Mexican food is fairly rare and so we stopped at Irene's for lunch to top off with AZ Mexican food. Yum. Very, very good. The place filled up quickly as lunchtime loomed and knew we had picked a good one. Stop by and give it a try. Will be a regular for us when we head south for the winter.

Well obviously they have the best Hot Wings around here, but the red chili is quite good too! Order your burros enchilada style, it just makes everything better! 5 x Trudy

The service was very friendly. We ordered a combination plate. The cheese enchilada and taco were good. The refried beans were very good, but tamale was a little dry.The bean tostada was very plain should have a little meat on it.Kitchen cooks were handling food with their hands. Should have gloves on.
