Hwy 88 Ice Cream Parlor

This is such a cute place, I love how it looks. It is the perfect place to grab a sweet treat or a bite to eat if you are hungry! I personally have had their ice cream and cookies which are delicious! They also sell hot dogs and you can purchase ready to cook pizzas at great price! I have been multiple times and the service is always great! They are very kind, patient, and friendly.

So happy this ice cream parlor reopened and super awesome they kept the name. This parlor brings back all the nostalgia vibes. The staff member assisting us was so friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. There is seating inside as well as outside. They offer Blue Bell brand ice cream and scanning all the options, they all appeared fresh and did not have ice crystals forming which often happens when ice cream sits. I went with the salted caramel brownie ice cream with a sugar cone. Pro tip from my cousin: have the ice cream placed in a bowl with a cone on top to avoid making a mess of yourself! Lol. They have offerings other than just ice cream including now take and bake pizzas. At the time of this review, she said the pepperoni is about $7 after tax and for the other options which are more specialty they start at about $12.25. She mentioned if we wanted to order a custom topped pizza, we can call ahead and ask the owner which is a nice option! There were bottled drinks and packaged snacks for purchase as well. Such a fun place to stop for a delicious treat - especially with the summer heat creeping up on us!

What better way to celebrate my 100th review written in 2024 than with ice cream?! The previous owners sold the business, but it has reopened under the same name which I'm super happy about! If I recall correctly, they served thrifty ice cream years ago, but I was delighted to see Blue Bell ice cream served today. With lots of flavors to choose from!The location is a little quaint inside, but has some great seating outside with great views of the Superstition Mountains. My cousin and I enjoyed the beautiful 72 degree day with our delicious ice cream. We both did my trick that I've been doing since I was a kid, since I'm a clumsy one and don't like wearing my dessert. Order a scoop to be put in a cup, but topped with a sugar cone. Helps avoid the mess, but still get the delicious flavor of a cone. The salted caramel ice cream was my favorite, and shocked at the low price of $2.99 for a scoop of ice cream! We both said we will be back as it is an affordable treat close to home.Check out this place if you are in the area as it would be rude not to treat yourself!

Great spot for a quick ice cream cone. The mint chocolate chip is great! The service is quick and very nice. Clean place!

After our sandwich at the Meat Slicer we went to have an ice cream. Usual we can share and should've but we didn't want the same flavor. So we each had a single scoop in a cup and what a scoop they were! The black cherry and coffee ice creams are chock full of flavor and so much ice cream! We ended our trip to AJ with a nice finish!

I just went there today. Got an awesome hotdog, got a delicious banana split, and I even bought a pizza, two guys were working, they were awesome. I would go there again in a freaking minute, and I don't know who's telling you this place is closed but it's not closed and it's March 27, 2024.

Great little Ice Cream parlor! Vast selection of Ice Cream, along with canned sodas ranging from common to obscure (can you say RC cola products AND Diet 7Up!). Friendly staff, and a comfortable "old timey" vibe! Recommended!

Cute ice cream shop. Super friendly server-didn't catch his name. Ice cream is yummy and a great value for the amount given. I'd recommend.

We love coming here. Classic ice cream with great prices and huge portions. It's a family favorite and the people are always friendly.
