I absolutely love this place and their bao. I get excited when I see them at various events and will actively make sure I go to food events if I know they will be there. The cha siu bun is my favorite.

I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the staff. They were amiable and accommodating Witty any questions or recommendations. This is one of a few food trucks this business has. After finding a seating area, I tried both the dumplings and "bear" breaded with teriyaki chicken inside. The meat was far for my liking in meats. It needed to have a complimentary sauce, whether that's bbq or pineapple or teriyaki sauce, it lacked there. The dumplings were nice and hot. I ate my first one and was surprised it was the usual dumpling. That may have been my own expectation, but aside from that, it was delicious.

We ordered at the Lunar New Year event booth. Service was very nice. We ordered the pork sui mai (3 for $9), and they only had 2 sui mai left so they gave me 2 dumplings instead. The dumplings were so good. I wish I ordered those. The sui mai were so so salty. Prob wouldn't get those again. Chicken teriyaki bun- cute, pretty good filling 8.5/10. The buns are nice and tender, with a very mild flavor. The chicken was not too salty, decent teriyaki flavor. Pretty good overall. I also ordered the char sui pork bun. It smelled good but it wasn't for me, not that I didn't like it. I literally ordered it for someone else. If you like bao, it's decent here.

I stumbled across this place at a local festival in my town. They had a food vendor set up there outside and I decided to give it a try since they had a huge line so I knew it had to be pretty decent food. The service was pretty quick and the line moved faster than I expected. I realized that the baos were in the shape of characters when I got closer to the front of the line and was excited to try them! My family and I ordered the potstickers, char siu bao, and chicken teriyaki bao.Flavor Ratings:Potstickers - 3/5Char Siu Bao - 4/5Chicken Teriyaki Bao - 3/5My favorite item flavor wise was the char siu bao and the characters were of course adorable!

Not only do they have a brick & mortar spot, but they show up as a pop up food vendor for various local events in the greater Phoenix area such as the Arizona Matsuri, various farmer's markets, Lunar New Year food festivals, and various music festivals. I tried out their Japanese curry and red bean steamed bun. One steamed bun cost me $13.78. I have to say that it's primarily just the bun with a little bit of inside filling. This wouldn't have been an issue but the breading itself was quite prosaic. The red bean was delicious but the Japanese curry filling was bland.

Very cute and yummy! I have not been inside the restaurant but have been fortunate enough to have them at the Aki Matsuri festival for the past 2 years. The line will be long. Like, an hour at least but it was worth the wait. They will even pack it to go for you and I have had left overs the next day and was perfectly good. Reasonably priced, nice and friendly staff!

The character buns are very cute and photogenic. They do a good job with them too, ours all looked just like the photos. Hubby and I ordered the charsui and the red bean. Taste-wise they were as expected, which is good. They taste like the buns I used to buy at 7-11 in Korea for 2 bucks, so it's a little painful paying $26 total for two.

I've been looking forward to trying this place for a long time but unfortunately we had a bad experience. I went to their stand at the Tempe Arts Festival this weekend and they were definitely busy with a consistent line. We ordered two bao buns - the Japanese style ground pork and the teriyaki chicken character bao buns. AFTER ordering and paying (with tip) we were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for the teriyaki chicken bao. If I would've been told this when I was ordering, I wouldn't have bought it. They did not offer to refund my purchase, but they offered to give us something else. The person I was with decided to switch it for the tofu bao instead of standing and waiting for 15 minutes. The tofu bao wasn't even a character bao, just a normal one. Very disappointing, especially because we were told what we ordered wasn't available after we already paid and tipped. Neither bao was good and we ended up throwing them away. I wish I was offered a refund and I would never come back or recommend this place.

I heard about this place from a friend and thought I'd drive over and try it out for myself! Upon entry, it's a cozy feel that kindof reminds me of a lil boutique that serves yummy boboa tea drinks and food and these bobble head type toys which I'm sure, are a fad with today's generation of collectors and kids. The lady, I think she was the owner,( but not sure as she was busy so I wasn't able to chit chat plus, I was in a hurry to drive back to work), was fast and prompt with orders. No one was in there at first, but, of course, when I go, I tend to bring a crowd with me, for some reason lol That's what it seemsI ordered potstickers and a Strawberry pink drink which both items were very good!!! I'm going to go back and try the teriyaki steam buns next. I definitely recommend supporting this small business. It's tucked in the corner of the strip mall next to Dunkin Donuts

Char siu Manapua and Chicken terriyaki Manapua.I wanted to love this place sooooo much but, unfortunately I didn't. I will give 5 stars for the CUTE bun designs! HK is my favorite so, of course I was so excited! At, $10 a bun-looks and taste is a must. This booth was at the Prince Kuhio festival this past weekend in Henderson, NV. We ordered 4 buns and 1 serving of butter mochi.2 char siu buns-the filling was extremely salty and very fatty. The bun itself was definitely over steamed. By the time we got home it was rock hard. I tried to resteam but it was too late. 2 terriyaki chicken buns-no taste at all and once again the buns were HARD.Butter mochi-consistency was more cake like vs. the sticky dessert I am used to and no flavor. Overall, I should have thrown my $50 in the trash.
