Dropped off my brother after the Coug/Sun Devil game and thought we'd have a cocktail to celebrate an unbelievable Coug win.We were seated right away to a quite noisy outside bar setting. Very small restaurant. The service was good and very attentive. The cocktails were fabulous.Where we made our mistake was to stay for dinner. We had much sought after reservations at a local Italian restaurant but were tired of driving and thought, "Let's just stay put".Harry's offered us a limited dinner menu. The salads were excellent. I ordered the wedge and that is probably where I should have ended the order. But with no real lynch I messed a little more substance. My brother order the burger medium rates. It arrived well done and dry but the fries were good. I ordered the steak. The worse piece of beef I have ever been served. It was grisly and very chewy. Cooked correctly however. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. Keep to the cocktails here!

We really liked Harry's and I'm surprised at some of the reviews since we had a great experience. What makes it most special are the people. We ate here two nights and had two different servers who were absolutely amazing. So friendly, helpful and took great care of us. The grilled chicken sandwich was very good. Tortilla soup is fantastic and get the cheese queso!

If you're absolutely stuck for a place to go, then Harry's is conveniently located in the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel. The bar has a full spectrum of sprits and wines and also has a limited menu of dishes and deserts. It has limited opening hours from 4pm to 9pm. The bar is simple and really lacks any kind of ambiance. It has the feel of an airport waiting room. It's also on the pricier end due to being in the hotel. This place really needs investing in by the hotel to make it a warm and inviting place that guests and others would want to go to. It lacks any kind of wow factor.

The bartender here is incredibly rude and checked our IDs for an uncomfortable amount of time. We have friends visiting from Oregon and he said their IDs look fake and wouldn't serve them. We're all late 20s and have never experienced such rude service. He claims he's the manager... but I don't know why a manager would not serve drinks to the hotel guests. Must be why this place was empty. Truly disappointing when I love this hotel and have been coming here for 5 years annually.

It's too bad. The food here had used to be much better. No longer, and they've clearly demonstrated that they don't care. I ordered and had the chicken arugula chimichurri sandwich which wasn't exactly that inexpensive. $27.00 + with a pint of beer. The sandwich had little taste. I mentioned and pointed out the lack of the chimichurri to the server and his superior, and he apologized. However, the restaurant did nothing about it. I only ate half of it and I just left the rest. It wasn't worth eating at all. I wouldn't bother to spend my money on lousy food like that. Too bad that no restitution was carried out.

Harry's Place was a huge disappointment. The food service coming out of kitchen was unacceptably slow. We could have overlooked this minor detail if the food had been exceptionally good. Unfortunately it was not. Out of the 5 entrees ordèred, 3 were cold. Of the 3 entrees, 2 were fish. Cold fish is completely unappealing unless it's sushi and you are expecting "cold".Would not go out of our way to eat here again. We only did so because it was part of our hotel package and it was convenient. There are many other food choices in the area. Next time we will choose somewhere else to eat.
