Harry's Lounge Tempe Mission Palm's Hotel

I was staying at the hotel and just didn't feel up for a trek elsewhere. I don't drink so can't offer any feedback there. I got the wings and the chips and queso. Both were kind of yucky. The wings were nice and spicy but the sauce seemed almost like a rub that should not have been so CAKED on when they were served. It was thick, grainy and messy. The chicken was good and the flavor was good... but I had to scrape all that excessive goo off. I got the queso... it was sort of thick and had an unappetizing texture and color. It seemed such a safe choice but it was also yucky. I did get some raspberry sorbet and that was tasty! Service staff were kindly and friendly. It seemed to also take a long time to get my food even though there were very few customers. It's also pretty nice inside or outside in their courtyard. But the food was not at all good.

Wings were outstanding, cooked perfectly with great flavor (9 wings). Service was extremely friendly, attentive & quick. I'll certainly be back!

Harry's was my stop for dinner after a long day of travel and work. I'm a sucker for luxardo cherries and their fabulous old fashion came with two. That was a great start to my meal. The drink wasn't too sweet as the cherries were not muddled into the cocktail but instead were allowed to steep in the drink.For dinner I had the "Quinoa", which is probably more accurately called a Cauliflower Steak. The dish was well portioned and came with a slightly hot red and just a touch over mild green sauce below the namesake quinoa and corn that bed the cauliflower into place. The cauliflower had a nice char but would have benefited from a bit more cooking or perhaps being steamed before being served. For $24, it could have been executed a bit better but is a very good dish.I don't think they're quite Hillstone/Houston's or Season's 52 level, but they're on the way. Most other dishes I saw looked great and the other diners seemed to be happy with their meals. I came in when it was quiet and two servers were adequate. As the service wore on the room filled and they became a bit overwhelmed. I imagine that this may not be the case during the fast season or a Friday night, but I'd expect some service slowdowns if it is busy. Perhaps in a group you won't notice.

Nice atmosphere. Beautiful setting. Great for afternoon and evening gathering or solo.

The place is alright. Medium sized. There are a couple tv screens that show sports games and a bar towards the back.I came here with a bunch of people so we shared a few dishes - the ravioli, chicken tenders and fries and quesadilla. Not impressed with the food; it was all dry and average quality. Service was pretty good though. The waitress and manager made sure we were comfortable and had everything we wanted. Convenient location I guess? But other than that, ehhh..

Harry's is a NO.I am often leery of restaurants in hotels but I thought in the Mission Palms it should be safe. I stand corrected.Giving credit where credit is due, the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal although at this point I am wondering if there was some duplicity going on here. I'll return to that.I had the fish & chips. It was both soggy and overdone. To accomplish this you first have to cook it too long. Then to get rid of the crispiness you have to cover it with something and let it sit a few minutes so that the food gets moist from condensation. The fries were lukewarm and soggy. After I ate I excused myself and went to the restroom to use some floss because the overdone fish had stuck between my teeth quite generously. Uck. But here's the real rub: They added an 18% gratuity without saying anything. In the semidarkness of the outdoor seating area I did not catch this and added in another roughly 18% tip. Later as we were heading home and talking about dinner we realized it seemed kind of high. We'll be addressing the bill with the restaurant and contesting the charges on the credit card. In the meantime, be warned. Seriously, wtf?Oh and parking is valet only and they were pretty disorganized.Update: they refunded the charges.

The food was good, Service was a little slow. Reasonable priced, and pleasant personnel.Nice for a leisurely visit or meal, but don't go there if you are in a rush.

I was tired and hungry, without a car, and staying at the Tempe Mission Palms. Had a Caesar salad, the New York strip, and garlic mashed potatoes. The salad had no detectable Caesar-like taste. The NY strip was maybe half an inch thick, topped with a brown gravy, but at least was cooked med-rare. The potatoes had no detectable garlic taste, and though I was a party of one, they still gave me enough for four. Next time I stay here, I will be well-rested and have a car. Or I'll get a cab or Uber. Or I'll walk somewhere. Or I'll just get something from the vending machine. But I do have to say that service was good. Nice staff.

Shittiest experience ever. System wasn't taking my mobile pay, dude at the front wanted to argue with me about it. After a solid 45 minutes of being on the phone with my bank, had to send my girlfriend the money for the room via zelle. We get in the room and I get a notification saying they charged my card AND my girlfriends, all while being a complete cunt. Prolly because he's from Dallas. Called the front desk, the lady didn't help whatsoever. These people have no idea of hospitality at all. 0/10. Shitty staff.

Came here tonight for a tuesday night coffee and drinks as a family and had absolutely horrible service, our waitress never checked on us and gave us our stuff and then we didnt see her until an hour later and had to hound her down throughout to get things like water.
