Florence Cafe

So there we were, in Downtown Florence and hungry for lunch when we spied the Florence Cafe right on the main drag on the way out of town. It was 11:30 so we had the usual dilemma:did we want breakfast or lunch? Lunch won out, and I ordered the Chicken fried steak with brown gravy, French fries, and fried okra! Linda had a crispy chicken salad thst was excellent, and plenty to eat. My chicken fried steak was HUGE (haven't had one that big since Crossroads Grill in Parker... A story for another time). Everything was excellent, and the service was great. On 12b30 Ona Friday, the joint was really hoppin' anddincevitcsermedvlike everyone knew everyone else, it was a bit on the loud side, but that was perfectly fine. If you find yourself hungry in Florence, AZ, THE Florence Cafe may be just the thing.

Food came out fast and hot. It was so delicious. Toast came extremely buttered. So many regular ol' folks in there, I'm afraid they'll give someone a heart attack with how much sweet butter they add to their toast. As an outsider and a person of color, service and ambiance was ok. Definitely got a few side eyes from the regulars and one of the servers, but it's to be expected in AZ.

Love small town cafes. Foods was amazing and inexpensive. Service was quick and friendly. I like a counter to eat at. Has Botha tables and of course the counter. Food was out quick. Will be back!! Awesome place

We have eaten here multiple times so I am not quite sure why I have never reviewed it, so this one is a bit past due. Sorry guys.In short the food here is down home cooking, comfort food at its finest! Nothing fancy but anything you could want from open faced sandwiches to French toast to Eggs Benny. The portions are more than enough to leave you loosening your belt on the way out the door and prices are reasonable.The staff are friendly and there isn't a shortage of them. They are also a victim of their own success, well that and being the only decent breakfast place in a Florence, because there can be a bit of a wait most mornings, and certainly on the weekends. The noise inside is somewhat overwhelming if you are hard of hearing and they could certainly expand the inside to accommodate more people. They also need to figure out how to situate the checkout differently as everyone kind of log jams at the entrance coming and going. But hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it right? They have a winner on their hands here.

Local Cafe, Freezing inside, staff has great personalities, good food, home cooking. Got the green chili Swiss burger with fries, the fries were cold(probably because it's 40 degrees inside) When it's hot outside, this place is a great respite to cool off. The burger was delicious & great size, the fries when hot are fantastic! Fresh ice tea to top it off..

A great spot for some down home cooking. I haven't had a bad thing yet. Always good food and service. It can get a little busy, but you will still have an attentive server.

Brought the family in for breakfast and was beyond amazed. The food was delicious, came out fast and hot. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. Will be the go to breakfast spot from now on.

Delicious! The food is hot and cooked like my mom used to cook. I got the eggs Benedict SBT (spinach, bacon, and tomato). This was cooked totally perfect. The spinach was cooked and delicious. The tomato was warm. Everything meshed perfectly together. I also got hashbrowns which were perfectly cooked. Hubby got eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked perfect and totally delicious. The wait staff was friendly and greeted us immediately. The food came out quick.

Came for breakfast. Ordered a skillet The onions, bell peppers were raw. The bacon was in bits and thrown on top. The ham was cold. Clearly the skillet was not grilled but just assembled. I told the waitress about it to whereby she said, " it's grilled honey that's how it's suppose to be" Her attitude over my complaint was one that I would not let her take my food back. So I guess grilled skilled means raw veggies on top of potatoes. Brought it home and cooked it and it still was mediocre at best. No taste, no ambience and no thanks
