Ed's La Casita East

Oh how I hate having to leave less than favorable reviews but it must be done sometimes. The food was so bland. The salsa tasted canned. I asked if they had spicy salsa and was brought back a bowl of something that was not hot and was mostly all onions and cilantro. The person who took our order was nice. But I won't return.

Came to eat here only because all of the other places in town were closed on holiday. It turned out to be a huge mistake, should've just stayed home. The place has barely an people inside and somehow I still waited about 15 minutes for anybody to take our drink order. Waited about another hour for my food. The wait time here is absolutely ridiculous. The cherry on top must have been the fact that there was barely any meat in my tacos, felt like I was eating a taco shell with lettuce in it. Do not waste your time here.

The food was really good but the service was absolutely terrible. When I was asked how everything was, I mentioned the terrible service then all of a sudden I got attention. Mind you this was when I paid the bill! The staff did not check on us regarding refills of our soft drinks or anything else for that matter. I had only been there once before (which was YEARS ago). This time being our second visit I couldn't remember why we hadn't gone back. The salsa and chips were great! I was eagerly looking forward to our meal. Our meals were great. My drink was halfway gone, then completely gone. Uh oh! Thats when I remembered we had terrible service way back when. If you want "to go" it's probably better. However if you want a sit down restaurant, don't bother. The wait staff were happy to sit down with their friends to visit, it seemed. From my point of view, the wait staff will give plenty of attention to their friends but if they don't know you, they'll ignore you. I got the distinct feeling that I wasn't welcome.I won't be returning to this establishment.

I'm only giving this 4 stars because the salsa was not very good. Their regular salsa tastes similar to spaghetti sauce with zero heat/spice. The avocado salsa that is supposed to be spicy also was not and it was fizzy flavored, which made it hard to eat. If I could give it 5 stars based on the staff alone, I would! Alex, in particular, was awesome! Very personable and nice to talk to. Everyone there was super nice. Also, our meals were great! Not like "blow your mind" good but also not gross or sketchy. I made my own avocado/guacamole tostada and it was delicious! The enchilada sauce had meat in it, which was unusual but gave it a really nice flavor. Overall, we are glad we stopped on our way through Globe

I think they had a crazy day and didn't have enough help. The seating was great but it was an odd experience. We waited a long time for our food and I won't go more into this review. The person in charge was kind but some of the wait staff looked confused. Not sure we'll be returning.

I'm not from Globe; however, I've been told this is the local favorite. I was with a very large party and they accommodated us nicely. With that said, the drinks took absolutely forever to get. They ran out of Modelo which is what half the party was ordering. On top of that, we ordered the drinks a number of times and never received them so we were worried we would be billed for them since they were ordered, but never received. The food was mundane at BEST. I have to say I've never had tasteless enchiladas until today. The taco was not good and the chili relleno was inedible. Working in favor for the establishment was the individual salsa tray you get and the waitress was very prompt on refilling the chips. All-in-all, I wish I had stuck to the chips and dip and would skip all of Globe/Miami in general. Best of luck.

We love Ed's place! Everything there is good, but those beef tacos are the Bomb! And that hot sauce is perfect! Had great service too.

Great food, fast and friendly service and a very clean, dog-friendly patio. The prices were very reasonable also!

Great service!! Be sure to come check it out!!! We are working in town for the week and it was recommended and did not disappoint.

I grew up in the Southwest, and I was raised on Mexican food. This is some of the worst I've had anywhere. From the indescribable salse to stale, gristly beef cubes in the enchiladas to the cold, flabby, greasy tacos (cheese somehow or other and apparently intentionally stuck to the outside of the tortilla, every bite was abysmal. You'll do much, much better at Taco Bell.
