Diamondback Gymnastics

We've had really good experiences at Diamondback. Both my daughters attended gymnastics here for months. The coaches are all very patient and really nice! My daughter is always trying to be silly or talk to her friends and instead of her coach acting annoyed, he always handled it calmly and professional.

My girls road to gymnastics competition started here at age 2 1/2 & 3 yrs old. The staff were always nice, coaches were knowledgeable but I'm finding it hard to give this gym even a 4 star rating. 3 1/2 stars would be fair imo. Here's why: After moving to a different area we uprooted our girls from DB Gymnastics to a different competing gym. My girls now 7 & 5 yrs old couldn't even do a back handspring and little one couldn't even do a back walkover. The new competing gym had my girls doing these moves in less than 2 months proficiently for my oldest and 6 months for my little one. The new gym begins working on these moves at a much earlier age than DB gymnastics. I also noticed the difference in coaching between the two gyms. DB was good but obviously not nearly as hands-on as new gym. Overall, our family had a good experience with DB Gymnastics but after comparison my girls could've gotten a lot more out of it.

We have been going here for just about a year now. My daughter loves it and her coaches! Shes in level 1 and has learned so much since starting here. Front desk is always friendly let's you know what's going on.

The Good:My daughter went here from age 10-12 for gymnastics. She loved her coaches, and the front desk staff were very friendly. It was easy to make up missed classes, and the price was reasonable compared to her old gym she went to in Gilbert. The people at this place is what makes the gym great, and kids all look like they are having fun! My daughter misses it very much, and The Bad: I did give 5 stars, but I would take away half, as it was hard to watch my daughter through the sitting area glass when she was in the back end of the gym. If there was a mock competition/performance coordinated once or twice a year (for those that are not in competitive gym), I think a lot families would love to see their kiddos showcase their skills! This was the only thing that I thought could be added to their wonderful gym. Otherwise, we loved it here and wished we still lived on that side of town.

I have been taking my kids here for years and they really like it! They really enjoy open gym every other Saturday night from 6-8:30pm.

Great gym!!!! They are very family oriented and go above and beyond for their gymnasts. Been there for yrs now and my gymnasts have excelled (at their own pace) and love their second home. Highly recommend

Love this gym! Absolutely amazing! Kids have enjoyed it for years, great coaches! Will be taking my younger ones soon. THANKS DBACKS

Terrible experience for young kids with no previous experience. We tried it out for a month and every time we came, even with two coaches, my daughter still was not doing what they were doing because of lack of support. Since parents have to sit behind a window, we can help direct our kiddo. I finally had to get onto the coaches (if you would call them that. they are high school kids) about giving more guidance to my three year old. Even after that, nothing changed. Either shorten the class sizes, have more "coaches" with the younger ones, or allow a parent-tot class where parents can help guide their kid.

We have been attending Diamondback for apx 3 months. I will say the coach we had was amazing (Coach Whitney)! But I am disappointed with their customer service. They change hours for classes without notifying customers and don't return phone calls. We have been going there for only 3ish months and they removed my daughter class time, no longer offering it during a time we can attend. After multiple phone call attempts I finally got in touch with someone who basically said we cannot accommodate you, class times are subject to change, so you can unenroll. I inquired about refunding my yearly fee which they responded "no refunds". I understand the no refunds per the contract, however we have only been attending three months.

Dear Dion U. My daughter has been at this gym for 8 yrs. Hubie has been her coach. She just qualified for the western Jr. Olympic Nationals because of the coaching and because of her commitment to train. Not one time have I questioned the coaching staff. They have kept her healthy the entire time! I cant say that about other gym's. You obviously didn't believe in the way they coached. So you decided to look around and try other gyms. Perfectly fine to do. Nothing wrong with that. It happens and you moved on! Trying to discredit the gym it's employees and the athletes after being there for only 4 months is unjustified.I hope you find a location that is a better fit for your family. GO USA!
