It's a small exhibit but thanks to his daughter for sharing it.
Dr Chandler had an Ostrich farm, the museum is free so I bought this as a memento (85% cotton).

We love visiting the Chandler Museum especially for the toddler/preschool age classes they offer (ArtTots and C-Town). Mary Jean and Shonda who lead the classes are the absolute best! They are so sweet and work so well with the kids. They set up such fun activities in a clean environment where the kids can socialize while having a little fun playing with sensory activities.

I loved my visit! I love that it was FREE! I didn't notice any donation box or anything but I would've left something if I saw one..I had a great experience. I love that they change exhibits every so often. I really enjoyed learning about Chandler. But was most meaningful to me during my visit was the 4th Grade Project Exhibit. "Judy Gelles mission to foster empathy and curiosity". She had been working on this project since 2008 and asked 4th graders all around the world 3 questions. Who do you live with, who do you live with and what do you worry about?Heartfelt. You never stop to think how much worries young people. Some worried about death, being shot, getting their only shoes dirty, etc. shows how much factors at home and impact them. It was deep to see and read!! Worth a visit I will return to see what the next exhibit might be!

This a very small museum but with a beautiful architecture and great exhibitions. Went to see the jazz photography by Bob Willoughby and it was beautiful, so many big names in the jazz world. If you get the chance go see it! They also have a great gift shop and their customer service was outstanding.

We visited July 2024 I brought my adult daughter who teaches high school in CA and my 2 little grandsons age 3 and 7. The boys loved doing the scavenger hunt. We explored all sorts of the museum including the areas outside in the old adobe buildings. We learned about Dr Chandler who was a Veterinarian for cattle originally but he soon became a big time land developer. He had 3 wives during his lifetime. The museum is in a state of the art building. It's very classy and does a great job of explaining the history of Chandler and nearby Williams Field Air Base. The museum is free to visit. Please be respectful of the museum and the displays. It's a wonderful place.

Chandler Museum This was our second time visiting this museum. Since we live close, we chose to break up the exhibits so we could fully enjoy each one individually. On this visit we opted for the 45-minute tour with a docent (Mike) who told us about the history of Chandler and other places of interest in the area. You can do a self-guided tour as well.During the tour we were able to enter the McCullough-Price house. The original Price House is now complemented by a modern, artful exhibit and education space, as well as a spacious outdoor gathering area. Local exhibits and Smithsonian exhibits appear to change frequently and are accompanied by weekly/monthly lecture-series. It is a small museum but you are able to take a wealth of information away from each exhibit.

Close to Chandler Fashion Center, this small Museum is quite charming. While there might not be a lot of activities tailored for children, I found the scavenger hunt to be a saving grace for my 7-year-old, who usually prefers more kid-friendly museums. I would consider returning on my own without kids. Keep in mind they also organize children's events at specific times throughout the year.

Wonderful time there for me and my boys. It is small but very informative with the history and founding of Chandler, AZ. Visit the old hacienda that was originally donated from the family and see how simplified living was back then.

A very cute museum in Chandler! It's perfect for families- especially when you only want to walk around for an hour. It's not very big but has a lot of interesting material and sights within. The outside is beautiful with intriguing art/ceilings and plenty of shade when the sun goes down. I definitely recommend this place. Also- it's FREE!!
