Great service; Friendly staff. Stuffed Sopapilla was absolutely the star of the show on my visit. Quesadillas was very large portion, filling.

A cute restaurant right on the corner in Globe. The food and service are great! Ample seating, clean bathrooms, and electric car charging. We came twice in a period of five days because of that amenity. The red and green chilis are beyond delicious. Totally worth the stop.

Scenic trip to Globe with some out of town family, had dinner at Chalos. OMGEEE, food was delicious!!! Service was great. Definitely a stop next time in the area.

Come.hungry because these plates are big! whole table loved the enchilada style fries. Bonus: friendly staff. There's an EV charging station in the parking lot.

Really not very good. Nachos supreme was good but the other items at my table did not get good reviews. The waitstaff was very short handed and they were running around but they were friendly about it all.

I usually don't give 5 stars, but there was no reason not to. Hands down the best Tamales I have had. The braised pork was juicy and full of flavor. The tamale itself was just right. Great flavor and texture, the beans were great too. Their salsas were good too and the hot salsa is full of heat. Super friendly folks working there to finish things off.

Very delicious home style Chicano food. Healthy portions and wonderful varieties of chile plates made with love and affection. Truly a magical food experience to quench that desired craving. The service was super and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Food here for me is just mediocre. The staff wonderful. Someone said they were cutting down on portions and I will say my taco salad was smaller than many I have had. Also, the tortilla shell was practically burnt. The ingredients were sparse too. My friend had a taco plate. It was average in my opinion. Oh and at first the bring out chips and salsa. Our bowl was a soup bowl size. We ate all our chips and nobody offered us a refill.

Horrible presentation and food. Questionable cleanliness. 30 minutes to serve chicken fajitas? One suggestion there, Chalo: don't let customers see thru the kitchen window behind the register on their way in if you want them to order.

We drove 2 hours from Phoenix to our favorite restaurant in Globe because it is shutting down at the end of the month. To our disappointment, they had just closed early for a funeral.We pondered the other places in Globe and when we came in view of Chalo's I told my husband I'd always wanted to try it (we've driven through Globe probably 100 times to visit our kids in the Gila Valley) so we did.We have a new favorite restaurant in Globe!There were a few people inside when we arrived (10:45a on a Saturday). We were greeted by a friendly young lady, chose our seat and were instantly served chips and 2 types of salsa. Tiffany, a member of the family who owns Chalo's, came by; when we told her it was our first time she quickly brought us a sample of the red chile and the green chile. We were sold! Husband got a green chili burro smothered in green chili; I got the green chili stuffed sopapillas (fry bread). He really enjoyed his burro and I loved my stuffed sopapilla. The fry bread holds its texture in the chili and brings a unique flavor that was great.Tiffany kept stopping by to chat; we told her about the restaurant we had come to Globe for and we comiserated with each other on its closing. By this time the restaurant was almost full. You could tell that most of the people were regulars. They would stop by other tables to greet friends and Tiffany greeted everyone. The atmosphere was really great - like being at your local pub if you were a Brit.We thoroughly enjoyed our food and loved the friendliness and the atmosphere at Chalo's. We will definitely be back.
