So I hired Bobby, for an event, because he is from Globe & so is my husband. It was his 50th birthday & I wanted the nostalgia of a regular burro, only known to be requested by globe locals. From the start I could tell that Bobby was going to try to do things his way, even though I had VERY specific requests, but I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. He said he'd send over a contract & when I looked it over I could see that there were some discrepancies from what we had discussed. First, his contract listed foods I did not request. I called him & reiterated that I wanted regular burros & he said he'd have all the ingredients, just didn't want them to get cold by premaking them. His contract also stated $1500 for 60 plates & $25 each addt'l plate. Told him I did not agree to a plate charge as I was requesting enough burros, enchiladas, rice & beans to feed 60 people. Not all will get a burro or an enchilada, so serve the food til it runs out because we will have food inside as well. The only way a plated cost works is if EVERYONE is being served the exact same meal. He said it wasn't a problem. The contract also stated that the food truck would be present for 2 hours. I told him I wanted him there for the entirety of the event. 3.5 hours open & serving food because I was renting an axe throwing venue & people would be in & out randomly between games. I gave him the option to back out if he felt it wasn't worth his time. He said he wanted to do it for my husband & that was just the standard time in all their contracts, but that 8pm-11:30pm was fine. I felt for the $1500 he was charging me, it was a reasonable request & told him that my daughter, along with most guests, would probably only get a bean burrito, not even a regular burro (red sauce, meat, beans, and cheese) so it didn't warrant a $25 a plate charge. He said it wasn't an issue. I asked him to amend the contract & get it back to me. He never did so no contract was ever signed. The day of the event, he opened his window late and started serving food at 9pm. An hour AFTER my request. Then I was told by guests that he & his family were refusing to make ANY burros. They were told all ingredients were being served Al a carte. He then closed an hour early at 10:30pm WITHOUT even notifying me or even asking if all guests had been served. I found out because my stepson said the truck was closed & he hadn't eaten. I went out to check & told Bobby's wife they were supposed to stay open til 11:30pm. She simply stated "no". I let her know that was the arrangement I had with Bobby & she replies, "well we were all done". I asked "how so, did you run out of food?" No answer. I told her my stepson hadn't eaten & that she needed to make him a plate to go. She did, therefore, proving to me that there was still food left, which I had not even been offered to take home even though I had paid for it! This led me to believe that they were, in fact, counting plates. The exact thing I said I would not agree to! When I confronted Bobby about his wife not knowing about the 11:30 close up, he stated, "yeah I didn't tell her" & chuckled. This also told me that he never had any intention of staying the full time frame we had agreed to. The funny thing is he didn't even stay open the FULL 2 hours he had stated in his ORIGINAL contract. Overall I paid $1500 ($1650 w/tip. I didn't want to punish his daughters for his lack of follow through) for 1.5 hours & not all my guests ate, nor did he stick to the menu I requested, or even stay open the time frame we discussed. On top of that, I had asked my guests to remember to tip so that he would feel taken care of, except I was the one that wasn't taken care of in the end. I'm sure they grossed about $1800-2k for that hour and a half. To make matters worse, his wife & one daughter left, leaving him & his 2 other kids behind. They all decided to participate in the axe throwing at the venue I had fully rented out for my private party! You don't follow through with our agreement, still charge me full price, & then crash my party?! I didn't want to cause a scene on my husband's special day, so I kept quiet. Days later, I sent Bobby a long text basically asking him why he hadn't followed through. I saw he read the text immediately & has NEVER responded to this day (a month later). Very unprofessional. I will never use his services again. I had 2 friends ask later if I would recommend him. They wanted to hire a food truck for their upcoming events. I told them I would NOT. Grossly Overpriced for the little food & time received! He could have tried to make it right, but he chose to ignore me. Hope he is happy when he finds out he could have had 2 more jobs, but after hearing what I went though, they opted to go in a different direction. Don't hire him for an event! You will be sorely disappointed as he doesn't follow through & does things his way instead of at the request of the person paying him.

Support a local business! I follow them on Instagram to find out where they will be. And I would drive miles and miles to eat their burros and tacos- and I have. Friendly service, good prices, and the salsa will make you sit up and say "More please!" Tacos are so tasty and they serve one of the best burros in the Valley.

When asked what the best thing on the menu was, Roberto didn't hesitate, he said, "The Carne Asada burro with green chili." I had to experience that goodness. It didn't disappoint. DE-LISH!! Thanks for making some of the best Mexican food I've had in Arizona!! YUM!!

I had the Rey Rey Special with green chili chicken and it was amazing! Packed with a lot of flavor. The burrito was very small and not very full for the $9 price tag so I'm a little disappointed in that. It said it comes with potatoes inside but I didn't taste or see any. Also they never gave me salsa that it was supposed to come with and I didn't realize this until I got home. So -1 star for that. But 4 stars for the amazing flavor!

This was my first experience with Casa Rey's, and my last. I usually stroll down to the food truck lineup by the Capitol on Fridays just to get out of the office - occasionally to eat if I forget my lunch, which was my misfortune today. Rey's menu looked alright and was reasonably priced, I thought.I ordered the Charro Completo specialty burro - advertised on their menu for $6.50 (this detail is important). I handed the man (if it was Rey, he's an idiot, and if it wasn't, Rey hires idiots - bad news either way) a $20, and he said $7.50. I asked if there was tax because the menu said $6.50. He said "No it doesn't. My screen [an iPad] says $7.50." I again explained to him that the MENU said $6.50 - I had to turn my head just slightly to confirm. I invited him out of the truck to take a look for himself. His silence indicated his refusal of my offer. Then, he hands me $12.50 in change (again, Rey or his staff member is an idiot). I have more pressing things to quibble about than $1. The poor rating has more to do with the mess of a burrito I ultimately choked down (I would compare the quality to Filiberto's but that would be unfair to Filiberto's) than the $1 and utter refusal to even acknowledge a mistake or apologize.

Absolutely amazing! The steak was tender and flavorful and the beans were perfect. But the green chili is out of this world! The family is so sweet. Love it!

There is no better place to eat beans and red chile burro. I can eat their food every single day. I was also invited to a party where Casa Reynoso happened to cater. Ate delicious flour tortillas made on the spot and a huge plate with carne asada, red chile, green chile, beans, and rice. I ended up taking a second plate home to give some to my kids. Best food ever!

This very professional and courteous business catered our wedding October 13. We and our guests could not be happier with the quality and quantity of the food. Robert was extremely accommodating, easy to work with, and understood the "bigger picture" of our needs. Lastly, the employees/family of this business were very hard-working, and seemed to genuinely share in our celebration. We think more businesses should be run like Casa Rey's Mobile Kitchen. We would use them again, or recommend them without hesitation. Dominick and Jill
