If you're looking for a really good carniceria, look no further! Tucked in a neighborhood, this small place is very easily missed. Family owned Herradero Carnicerias, are all over the valley. This particular location however, is my personal top ranked of them all. A mini market serving fresh meat, seafood, chilès, pantry items, Hispanic specialties & more. It's even a great spot for a quick or lunch or dinner with the option for both dine in & to go. Be sure to grab some fresh concha's & more of their fresh baked goods from their pastry case on your way out!All of their selections are fresh and prices are very fair. Love coming in to get a plate of food- the chicharròn tacos are my favorite! They offer a large menu serving everything from caldos, mariscos, breakfast burritos & more.Clean & friendly service too!

Tiny store with limited Mexican/ Hispanic groceries, extensive baked goods cabinets, a full service meat counter, a cook to order grill for tacos, burritos and to go roasted chicken meals AND if you want to send money abroad there are TWO money order windows near the front door. There are two tables to eat inside if so inclined.Everyone was very friendly and the carne asada tascos had charred beef flavor with the meat grilled outdoors and the pork carnitas were tender and flavorful as were both sauces - red (spicy) and green (tomatillo/jalapeño - milder). If you are in the area it is sure bet for inexpensive and tasty tacos. We did not order a burrito but saw one being built - it was HUGE!An un-assuming and safe bet for a quick, tasty local bite that is small business.

This is our current go-to spot for carne asada burritos, habanero salsa, and ranchera meat for making our own tacos at home. As someone that doesn't speak Spanish, the staff is always super friendly and willing to help if you're unsure how to order from the meat counter or food counter. The employees have started to remember me and know my usual orders, which helps. A positive sign for El Herradero is that it is always busy. I don't think I've ever been the only person in there. They do have some typical grocery items if you forgot something, but the meat counter and food counter are right near the front when you walk in. Parking can be tricky as they have just a few spots, but street parking is not bad. It's right off of Arizona and downtown Chandler. In my opinion, their ranchera meat quality has been the best I've found in the East Valley. I make my own marinade at home, and I feel like you can tell how they cut and what they purchase is solid. The habanero salsa is also no joke. I like spice in all my food, and it's rare that a salsa will leave me a good sweat. This one does it every time, and it's well worth it!

My experience with this place was very positive, welcoming staff as well as great quality food being served. I'm a big carne asada eater and one of my friends recommended this place for good carne and boy they were right, the most tender beef flap i've ever had yet, best i could find in the area to be honest, if your looking for good authentic mexican goods, this is the place.

My favorite Mexican spot! The carne and pollo are so flavorful. I always get it raw and grill it at home.

I love my local carniceria! It's your friendly neighborhood grocery store, fast-food, deli counter and money wiring all-in-one. We like to pick up our meats here for tacos and breakfast burritos. Occasionally, when I need a quick bite to eat, I stop by for some tacos. There's always construction guys here eating full on meals with their beers from a hard day's work. Love the neighborhood vibe here too.

This is a small grocery store with a tiny kitchen. Half of the store is a meat counter (hence, "carniceria" which means "meat shop"). There are only about four tables. The menu is above the counter.I ordered a pastor burrito, my wife ordered the caldo de res. Prices were not noticeably cheaper than other similar eateries (e.g. El Rancho Market cafe). The pastor burrito was really good. Very flavorful, and an appropriate amount of meat for the burrito. The caldo de res was very weak but lots of meat. It really tasted like water with beef. No seasoning evident, either of the meat or the broth. We added salsa, but it mostly just made it hotter. The caldo de res, despite the abundance of meat, was boring. It was no competition for the El Rancho Market cafe's caldo de res. I would not order this in the future here. But the burrito was very good, and I would come here again for another burrito. We also were given a sample of their grilled pork (though it wasn't clear where they used it), and it was very good.If we hadn't had the caldo de res I would go four stars. But we did, and it was pathetic, so I have to take a star away.

I love this little gem of a place!!! The food reminds me of my mom's cooking...it's that good! If you are looking for authentic Mexican food.....this is the place!! My dad is very picky (and old school Mexican) and loved the seafood soup! I especially love the beef soup and the Al pastor meat in anything!! It's all delicious. They also have uncooked meats, carnitas. And some basic food items. This has been my favorite find here in Chandler!! Love it!!

Best little carneceria ever! Their hot foods are probably one of the best in Phoenix- everything from tacos, burritos, sopas, and more. Their carne asada is sooo good and juicy. They have very good quality meat, chicken, and seafood at the counter as well!! Everyone is so friendly and willing to accommodate you in any way possible. They have a few tables for a quick bite to eat and a couple aisles for basic necessities. Last thing- their homemade salsas are the best I have tried! Love this place
