Take a trip south, south of downtown, south of the 17 to find your way to Carniceria Castillo for some of the best Carne Asada in Phoenix. Drive to south mountain take in a hike or the views and do yourself a favor and stop in for their cooked carne on your way back. You'll find this market along the road, it's easy to pass right by, but they're likely cooking something out front on their BBQ grill and it's probably the chicken or beef you'll be eating in your tacos, burritos or nachos later that day and for the next few days to come. Order a couple pounds because two pounds magically seems like three or four every time I order. This is the best place to get carne asada and pollo asado. They also are a full butcher shop offering fresh meats and seafood. They have alot of Mexican snacks shipped in for sale.

They have the best carne asada & chicken in Phoenix. We always buy from them when we bbq & that is at least once a month. The owners & employees are friendly. The prepared food there is good too. If you're in South Phoenix stop by & check them out.

My family's original Christmas dinner plans fell through. Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The ribs, chicken, rellenos, carne asada burrito, and other things we ordered were spectacularly tasty. Great value too! We will be back!! Next Christmas we will plan ahead and do a bulk order of tamales several days in advance before they run out.

Awesome pollo asada and carne asada lunch combos with beans, rice and tortillas for cheap and cooked perfectly. Come here for lunch all the time it's hard to beat

Yum!!!! We had a get together for my nephew's birthday and we wanted to be part of the party and not stuck in the kitchen cooking.... They provide everything, we did chicken and asada, came with beans, rice, salsa and tortillas... The flavors were spot on and we even had enough to make breakfast in the morning... Thank you
