When you walk in looks like a market can buy soda Gatorade mex style market carniceria. Fast friendly service really good meat, we live about 15mins away by the time bf got home w food was still really good, nice spicy salsa with it, I'm light on spice but with a lil drizzle adds perfect touch. Served with lime and lemon. 12$ for 4 tacos. Would def recommend carne tacos

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, real-deal Mexican food from Hidalgo/las 3 Huastecas! The mole is out of this world, and the birria is a home run. Great prices for everything. Not just a restaurant--also a carnecería, and a bodega with numerous Mexican wares for purchase. Can't believe we've been driving by them for years and never stopped in! Please give them a try!!!!

A friend recommended this place so I was picking up the order for us and 2 others. I couldn't find the menu anywhere online and relied on the two posted on here previously by customers. When I arrived it was confusing at first to find the menu or where to order because when you walk in its overheard so it wasnt until I walked to the back where the cooks were that I turned around and saw the food menus above the cashier at the front. I walked back up and ordered in spanish so i know for sure my order was given correct: quesadilla de asada en tortilla de maiz, 3 tacos asada plato con arroz y frijoles, asada fries y chile rellenos. My total was $51.85 - prices definitely increased since the last menu picture. She wrote my order on a blank paper and handed it to me after I paid and I stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do next so definitely confusing if it's your first time like me. I had to walk to the back and ask a cook what to do with the paper and she said to leave it there on the counter. After a bit the same cook asked me if this was to go (probably since I was alone with 4 items seemed odd) as I guess it wasnt written on there and I told her yes. The place is tiny, but busy! They also have a casa de cambio which is cool and convenient probably so when they said my food was ready I grabbed it and left quickly to make room for other people. When I got home I opened the food to realize they did not give me my chile rellenos and instead a quesadilla de pastor... i dont eat pork and its also a cheaper item than what I paid so not sure how that mix up happened since she must've written the right item since it matched the price. It was sad and disappointing since I couldn't switch my meal with anyone else since I don't eat pork or beef. I didnt call or go back to correct it since it was a 20 minute drive and I had people over at my home. My friends said the meat was really delicious, but for the prices and process of ordering, I will probably stick to Amados or Los Favs. I will say though the staff was very nice and the market inside is cool to find mexican food and goods.

We always passed by this spot when getting Vietnamese food next door. It's primarily a meat shop with some convenience store items but they also have a lot of hot food to order! We got the four taco special (comes with a free drink) and a burrito. The tacos were delicious, street tacos with two layers of tortilla, meat, cilantro, onions, and sauce. Flavorful and one of the better taco spots I've been to. Husband enjoyed his burrito. They do take apple pay which is nice and convenient. You pay at the cashier by the door of the market and take a ticket to the back so they can prep your order. There are a couple tables in the back if you want to eat there, but we took it to go. We'll def return during our next taco craving! Unfortunately they ran out of al pastor when we got there around 12:30pm on a Saturday. Wish they also had free chips and salsa but that's fine since they aren't an actual restaurant or taqueria.

This place had the most DISGUSTING menudo I've ever had in my life. Took two bites and couldn't fathom another. I'm Latina and I know good menudo, this was not it. I would have rather ate the canned menudo. At least THAT has flavor. Their menudo has fat clumps floating around in the caldo and that there should've been my first warning! When menudo is cleaned properly you won't have that OR a layer of grease on top. I didn't want to be rude so my boyfriend asked if we could exchange it for something else. The man who runs it said,"no, why am I going to exchange it? So you won't like that either?" Mind you, I had ordered a carnita taco which was very delicious and my boyfriend got a carne asada burrito, which I tried, and I wanted one as well instead of the menudo. The man who runs the store was very rude and even called my boyfriend an animal for confronting him about being rude. Now the lady who was the cook, she had long black hair, she was the only nice thing to happen while there. They told her not to make us the burrito, after we offered to pay for it, and she offered to make us food if we came in the next day. We declined it because it wasn't her fault. She was very understanding and was very kind. I praise the cook. But the man and his wife or mother, can go straight to hell. It's a shame to see Latinos/Mexicanos be so rude.

Because of inflation, it's $8.99 for 4 tacos and a can of soda now. But it's still the cheapest place to get tacos in Tempe! Also, if you want cheese on your tacos, you have to ask. I always forget.

This place is precious and delicious! A small market and hot food to eat there at two tables or prepped food to go. Buy your grocery's and order at the register then place your order with the employees at the back for your hot food. The flour tortillas are perfection ! We had the carne asada, pollo Asada and a pork taco and all were so delicious.

I have been a customer since the beginning. I've watched them grow and expand. These are the nicest group of people (family?) They make the best street tacos and I'm so happy I live near their carniceria. Just a little of Mexico in Tempe. Stop by.... your taste buds will truly have a tad of Mexico!

This is such a hidden gem! Loved these street tacos! We got chicken, beef, and carnita tacos! The dough was a bit dry. I recommend using the sauce on their tables to spice it up a bit more. Overall, a super cute place and would recommend for a quick snack!
