"The stars aligned so perfectly for us in that my husband and I were introduced to Cicely and Rebecca a year and a half ago. As our one year anniversary approaches, we are excitedly returning to Phoenix *and* we are excitedly going to meet up with our new, dear friends Cicely & Rebecca. A little back story, my husband and I have been together for 19 years now. As two guys, we once didn't even have the right to marry, and even today, as you can imagine, many people still are disapproving or are uncomfortable or whatnot. Anyhow, keep that in your back pocket. Back in 2016, we had a random work trip to Phoenix. We decided to spend a night at the Biltmore, since we are huge Frank Lloyd Wright fans. We decided to get married there! It was the perfect spot. The wonderful Biltmore folks introduced us to Cicely and Rebecca (and two other planning firms), whom we met via Skype from our home back in NYC. Unlike the other planners, they wanted to get to know us and our story, unlike other planners who seemed to tick off a list of "what do you want at your wedding reception." We hit it off so PERFECTLY on the first call. It seemed to be meant to be how smart and talented and sweet they were. While we had nice meetings with the other planners, Life Design set the bar so much higher. From that point on, they did everything so perfectly. They were responsive at all hours of the day, they came up with creative ideas that always fit within our budget, and they provided sound advice on where to spend more money or less money to get our overall effect. They created such an impressive plan for us that we were excited every step of the way to see it play out. Since we didn't tell anyone that we were getting married after all these years, they worked with their recommended vendors to come up with a brilliant plan to send out a small book with the story of our lives as our "save the date." So in December of 2016, our family and friends got a box with a book in the mail. It was a huge hit with us and with everyone in our lives. Our invitations had such sophistication and class. They helped introduce us to incredibly talented and open minded and hard working vendors who never once caused us worry or concern. As we gave them the very complicated task of figuring out a memorable welcome reception within a reasonable budget, they worked and worked and worked and came up with a brilliant outdoor event at the Hermosa Inn, which included so many creative touches that our guests loved, including tacos cooked over cauldrons, a fun s'more station over a cauldron, and the beauty of the Southwest. What an event!Most importantly, I will be immodest and say our wedding was insanely awesome. They came up with a design that fit our aesthetic and the great setting of the Biltmore. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful and sophisticated everything was. They came up with beautiful details in terms of linens, furniture, table markers, signage, and everything else. Cicely and Rebecca worked their butts off. On the weekend of our wedding, our friends were amazed that we were relaxing by the pool with them because Cicely and Rebecca and their magical team took care of everything and we had nothing to worry about. We can't say a single negative thing, and we have nothing but the highest recommendation for these brilliant women. We love that they made our wedding so gorgeous and so artistic and so high-end. We love that they worked carefully with our needs. We love that they were so attentive and hard working. We love that they are so caring and open-minded. Wow. Just wow. Thank you."

Where else in the world can you get married with the gorgeous Superstition mountains as your backdrop?I'm writing this review as the guest of good friends who had their wedding here a few weeks ago. The ceremony was held on the large green lawn, with its low rolling mounds. The chairs were set up in an elegant way, and in a direction that kept the sun out of our faces. When it came time for the bride to appear, she was nowhere in sight. At little uneasy, we looked around, only to be very pleasantly surprised to see a horse and carriage coming in from the distance! The bride definitely surprised us with a one of a kind entrance for her special day. Making our way inside, the reception was held in a private ballroom. There's a large central dance floor, plenty of room for tables, chairs, mingling and carousing. Occasionally, you could see the owner working hard behind the scenes making it a point that everything ran smoothly. She was very professional and did a great job on the whole event. After the reception, we trekked 5 minutes down the street to our rooms at Gold Canyon Golf Resort, where the rehearsal dinner had been held the night before. "We had our annual Christmas party at this location. This venue is one of the best, right in the heart of chandler downtown. It's hard to miss. The lights, fireplace, the whole atmosphere was really good. We tried their food and the mashed potatoes, oh wow! It definitely was super yummy. They had chicken meatballs as appetizer and had never tasted something like that. The service, the DJ music, the whole place was great, perfect for a office party. If you haven't been there, then you definitely need to pay it a visit. However, for a wedding venue, it was a bit odd. Maybe this was the fault of the coordinator?First the good things! The customer service really was great! The staff managing the bar area were super friendly and great to talk to at every visit! The food served was delicious, no complaints at all! The decor and aesthetics were wonderful for the venue and the Arizona area.The area in the main part of the venue, were the ceremony took place was lovely and shaded. There was a fountain and surrounded by lovely trees and structures.As with all venues, hosting a wedding with a cash or cash-less bar, this venue fell into the same issue. The alcohol not in bottles or cans just had to be watered down. There is no possible way our friends and myself had as many vodka mixed drinks, we are talking about over 10 or 11 at least for myself, and never even got a buzz. This seemed to be the consensus. The other issue was just the layout. The covered area / enclosed structure where the dinner took place was large and spacious. It was decorated with plants and man made areas that were lovely and it kept everyone together, socializing, and simply having fun. When that was done we were moved to an area behind the bar/sitting structure for live DJ and dance floor. This was simply counter productive to encouraging that togetherness and partying. instead it had various separate and distinct fire pits with covered areas and seating around each one. This pretty much cause the wedding party to all separate into their own clicks and neither one really interacting unless you were directly related/known to them some how. The dance floor was a raised gazebo area, which was lovely. However, from where some of the fire pits were, you had no view of who was dancing or if anyone was dancing.The DJ played a great playlist but she could have been definitely more interactive."

When we first toured this venue, we knew it had the right vibe for us and our family/friends, but what we didn't realize at first was how professional they are and how everything is out into such a perfect system that I honestly don't see how your wedding could ever go wrong here!They have all inclusive packages to choose from and I mean ALL inclusive, they even took care of our invitations with the package. All of their vendors are extremely professional and they contact YOU when it's time. So you don't need to constantly be keeping tabs on which vendors you need to talk to. Their cake vendor (piece of cake Az) was the star of the show, we got so many amazing compliments on our cake, the food (put a fork in it catering) was also very good as well as their staff!One of the things we loved most was that this venue already looks decorated, so you can save SO much money on little decorations that no one will really even notice. The garden is absolutely beautiful and the reception room has such and intimate and easy vibe. I felt at home the entire time! The day of the wedding was the easiest day ever because all the staff knows exactly what their doing and they give you a timeline to keep on track. Trust what they say. They've done it a million times and have clearly found a system that works perfectly! We got so many compliments from our guests about what a wonderful venue it was and I honestly don't think we could have found a more perfect place to get married! Some vendors have to come from their preferred vendor list, which was not a problem at all, because everyone they recommended was amazing.
