I chose the small strawberry shortcake with a Oreo waffle cone. It was $10 and way too big! The $2.50 Oreo cone was good but so filling & rich. The ice cream was good but the shortcake pieces were too big and frozen, hard to eat. Loved the whip cream finish on top tho!"

"I love Water and Ice for their smoothies! Tahitian breeze is my personal favorite. It's also a major plus and keeps loyal customers as the owner here is so pleasant. Many times I've seen her working by herself hopping back and forth from scooping ice cream to blending smoothies and ringing guests up for water.. running the whole show and she does this all while wearing a smile! They sell Thrifty ice cream by the scoop or pre-packaged half gallons. They are a little more pricier than a carton of Dreyer's from the Fry's across the street; however, it's definitely worth it for the for special flavors. My family's favorite is the pineapple coconut. So good! You can't find Thrifty's at too many places."

This Fruitlandia location in Mesa is quite spacious and located right on the corner of Country Club & University. Fruitlandia is known for their Mexican desserts. Popular items are their fresh fruit combos like fresas con crema, milkshakes, ice cream, shaved ice, and fruit drinks. The drinks are so colorful and full of all types of fresh fruit. I ordered the Dulce Churro for my first drink. They also have popular street food items like sonoran dogs, nachos and carne asada fries. Fruitlandia has become one of my favorite spots for a late night treat."

"This particular review is for the Phoenix Zoo Lights! I went this past evening with a few friends and family and really enjoyed the visit! It was packed, but that is to be expected as the holiday season begins!Parking was easy enough and we made our way through check in. It really is magical from the very beginning with overhead lights along the bridge and the moment you step towards the zoo. We made our way through most of the Zoo, or what was available to us. They had ample photo ops, viewpoints, installations and so many cool different sections. Lots of animals of course, but also mythical creatures and other fun holiday themed lights, some of the installations event moved!The inner lake has a show that goes on throughout the evening, they do make an announcement, though I am not sure of the exact times. There is no time limit once you are in, but the zoo does close at 10:00pm, but we were able to see about everything in an hour in a half. We didn't have any little kiddos though, so of course probably a bit longer with children.They had all their food vendors open, which you could get food, sweets, beer or beverages throughout. It was about ten dollars for a 16 oz beer. I tried a friends chocolate chip cookie and honestly it was way better than I expected! Was a lovely evening and great weather to walk around this time of year and perfect holiday activity. As a bonus, we even saw a few animals out and about!"

Instead of using ice and adding mango syrup, they use frozen mango and fresh mango pieces to the top, plus some other tamarind candy treats!I also tried their duros preparados. Ha ha Been trying to buy extra bottles and treats to help with my $400 trouble I caused being the only family to notice. We do drink a lot of water.
