Mitchell L. "Great place to have some delicious food, and then shop for some goodies to bring home. Had a mezze sampler, and beef shwarma. Mezze included generous portions of bannaganoush, hummus, dolmathes and the white sauce like tzatziki. Plenty of pita bread to scoop with.My schwarma was delicious, and ample. Had to share the mezze plate, can't eat that much anymore.Counter order, friendly guys, they bring to the table, in our case, quickly. The store is so stocked with everything one needs to cook middle eastern at home. Clean store. Will be returning."

Benjamin F. "Walked in and found this place on accident tbh and I am glad we did! When you walk in you see the little market with different foreign products, good selection to try new stuff. Go to the back and you'll see a menu and pastries on display. We were greeted by a nice women. We got the food in like 10 minutes and it came out fresh! The fresh baklava is amazing!!! Some of the best I've had for a while! The chicken was juicy , the steak was tender and cooked right and the mix was also full of flavor. It came with salad and rice and both had great flavor! The ambiance was pretty relaxed and they had a couple people at tables but found a table easily. It is a market mix with some food so it's not an actual restaurant but the food is fresh and good and I would definitely go back. Everyone enjoyed the food and food runner was super friendly as well."

Aimee B. "Absolutely delicious! Great food, quality and quantity. This family owned business goes back to 2005, the place is clean and looks newly renovated. The owner is at the restaurant to ensure quality and the best customer service. He is so friendly and enjoys a good conversation. We ordered the meal for 2 to go. It comes with all of the traditional favorites. I added gyro meat because I personally like it the best. If you are looking for some authentic Greek food, try this local gem."

Shaunette F. "I wish I had taken a photo before I tore into this amazing meal. My husband and daughter got beef and chicken shawarma. They were both very delicious. I got the beef shawarma plate, which was a huge portion and very delicious. I prefer this place over any of the chain restaurants. The meat was seasoned to perfection, and the hummus changed me. I will never eat store bought again! We will certainly be back."

Sharon T. "Located in downtown Tempe is this Middle Eastern restaurant serving Halal Yemeni food. I have a big appreciation for their culture. We came during Ramadan week... and even at midnight this place stays open till 4am. Surprisingly there was people coming for pick up and people still feasting at the midnight hour. This place is a hole in the wall, that needs a little more tender love and care. At night time the parking in the back was a lil sketch but we were not deterred. They have outdoor seating with lighting. Inside the building, upon going in they have traditional seating similarly like a tea room with seated cushion on the floor and mini tables. Then to the main dining area are booths and a bar with classic candies in the front fridge. I saw there was a buffet line, so I would love to come next time during the time they serve buffet. We were greeted with the best service and great hospitality, with the host showing us the menu and explaining recommendations. We sat at a table that was a little wobbly so then we moved to the booth that had me sinking into my seat. But we found a table that was just right for us. You have to go to the register and order and then seat yourself. We chose to eat the Mathbi Meat with grilled lamb with the mixed appetizer that had fattoush, tabouleh, baba ganoush, and hummus. Everything came fresh to order and for a table for two, we shared our food with the portion just perfect. We were impressed with everything to be so delicious. The lamb was tender and the rice complemented the dish. The naan with the appetizer dishes married well with our entree. I was so impressed. I loved the tabouleh the most because it was so fresh. For dessert we tried the massoub. I'd recommend this for breakfast because it was like eating roasted banana with an oatmeal consistency of bread, with some tart cream and sesame seeds. Finalizing my meal, I kept going back and forth to grab the complimentary tea at table to the back corner. The cinnamon warmth flavor aided my digestion. I loved it so much! There is no doubt we will return if I feel like being a night owl out in town.. Our food experience was top notch, just recommend that the place could use a little more cleaning, but overall their food is a winner especially for the cost."

Carlin T. "Found this place while scrolling through social media and constantly trying to find places that make knafeh from scratch! It's located in this small rundown plaza, but don't let that fool you! Once you enter through the doors, you'll find the restaurant on the left and a small marketplace with more seating on the right.I was greeted by one of the sons who help run the family business. He not only took the time to explain what they had in their sweets case for the day but also was excited to share the history behind the various types of khaneh. I never knew there were so many different variations! Then he pulled a tray out of freshly made, still-warm rice pudding. Apparently, these were just made by his mom in the back - so in other words, how can you get more scratchmade and authentic than that? And how can you get better small family business customer service than when the dad checks you out? You can't!Ultimately, I got the chicken kebab pita wrap ($8 for.four pieces of meat with onions, tomatoes, pickles, garlic sauce, and hot sauce as optional) and a few sweet things to try. Maybe it is personal preference, but although the meat was tasty, I wish the wrap was fuller and/or stuffed with lettuce as well. The khaneh with cheese was amazing and would be what I come back for. I would pass on the caramel custard cup next time (super dense) but would get the rice pudding again if I wanted something a tad sweet to end my meal.Overall, this place is worth checking out! Amazing customer service, clean restaurant, affordable prices!"

Rashmi G. "We've eaten at The Great Greek Mediterranean restaurant a few times now and have done both carry out and dine-in. The restaurant always appears very clean and everyone has been very friendly.I've had a variety of items now including the chicken skewers, shrimp skewers, rice, feta fries, Greek salad, etc. my husband has also gotten the gyro sandwich. The food is where I feel like they lose points .. shrimp wasn't super flavorful, chicken was just okay. While unique, the feta fries were bland but also a bit dry. The gyros sandwich was pretty good; I did like the rice. If I return, I'll be sticking to chicken (maybe gyros) & rice. I haven't tried the falafel yet.Overall, the regular items weren't too wow-worthy. If you're going, keep in mind prices are high ($18 for a plate with chicken & sides)."

Jennifer R. "So me and my girls were driving from the airport and we were looking for anything that was open during curfew. The carne asada fries caught my friends attention so we pulled up. It was very hole in the wall vibes and we fucked with that so we went right in. The menu was easy to read, the staff was attentive and answered all our questions with what went inside the burrito, fries, and different salsas. They told us the fries is what would bring us back so we went ahead and ordered 2 carne asada fries, a mini carne asada quesadilla, plenty of tacos and a case of beer. While we waited we ended up grabbing extra snacks---they legit have the best selection of just about anything you'll need for the week/weekend.Sooo if you're around the area stop here, maybe you'll catch us there tomorrow! 10/10 recommend"
