Gretel Y. "As a lover of espresso martinis, I knew I had to check out AZ88's. Afterall, they landed number 7 on Yelp's "Ten espresso martinis you'll agree are worth the buzz" blog in 2023! We had a friend visiting from out of town and thought it was the perfect opportunity to check it out.We arrived on a Sunday evening. AZ88 does not accept reservations, and fortunately for us, AZ88 was not packed that evening. The space is inviting. The dim lighting makes it a little sexy and romantic. We chose outdoor seating and were seated immediately. The server came to greet us shortly after and took our drinks orders. I ordered the espresso martini and my husband and our friend both ordered an old fashioned. The drinks arrived promptly and wow, their espresso martini is one of the best I've ever had! I enjoyed it so much I ordered another one halfway through the meal. It had just the perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness to me. The guys also enjoyed their old fashioned drinks and ordered seconds. For food, we ordered:Shrimp ceviche $17Dipping fries $13St. Petersburg Potatoes $14Halibut entree $36AZ88 Chicken $18The first three items are appetizers. They were delicious and great for sharing. My favorite was the dipping fries. It came with waffle fries with remoulade, spicy chili ketchup, and buffalo-bleu dips. Hubs and I split the halibut entree. It came with half a pound of Atlantic halibut white-fish, pan-seared with lemon, capers, white wine, and garlic butter then served with baby red potatoes and grilled green beans. The kitchen split the entree into two plates for us, which was appreciated. After starting with three appetizers, half of the entree was more than enough for us. Our friend ordered the chicken sandwich and had no complaints!Food and service were excellent. I highly recommend AZ88, especially to espresso martini lovers!"

Hailey P. "A fab spot to grab light bites and cocktails downtown before or after a game, show, symphony, etc. It is set in an old department store and I highly suggest walking around and exploring the building. You will see some interesting things! I love their dirty martinis and lemon drops. We may actually drop back in this weekend after attending a concert. See you soon, Hanny's!"

Michele G. "Came to The Duce for their Urban Cowboy event in June and omg it was so much fun! The Duce is a unique, fun space and the ambiance is great for a night out. Love that it's an open concept, has both indoor and outdoor areas, and doesn't feel too congested even when there is a lot of people. The food we got was delicious! We tried the fried Mac and cheese sampler bites as well as their sliders. They offer a ton of different drinks and I was able to get a yummy mocktail. Service was great and everyone was friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back for the next Urban Cowboy event because it was so unique and fun I'll definitely return!"

Trust me, the vibes here are off the charts! The acoustics? Absolutely killer! Though I must admit, the staff can be a tad curt, and the drinks might leave you thirsting for more flavor. But hey, let's focus on the bright side--they constantly bring in phenomenal bands that rock this joint to its core!"

Jennifer S. "Such a great place. Old world Italian vibe meets modern cuisine and taste. This place is a gem for all of you who love classic Italian dishes done right, generously sized, and made with love. The pasta is incredible as well as the selections on this menu. Drinks are generous, and the atmosphere is great. We ordered quite a few dishes. The stand out was the fettuccine Alfredo, and the double pork chop, which were excellent. others at the table had spaghetti and meatballs with sausage, spaghetti with marinara sauce, and extra side of meatballs. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was great."

Kira D. "Views views views!!! If u're looking for a chic vibe restaurant bar with gorgeous views, u found it!!! Jade Bar is a gem! I've only had a couple of appetizers here, and I can't say that they were fabulous, as I ordered some pretty plain Jane stuff. The Housemade chips and onion dip, as well as the Vegetable crudite were ok. I wished the dips for both those appetizers had more flavor and kick to them, but, knowing that I ordered some pretty unflavorful dishes, I'll quit my whining. On the other hand, the cocktail was divine! The Lost Dutchman was so tasty & refreshing!! Don't be shy! U can totally eat the flowers that are elegantly decorated in ur cocktail!! Service was great! Our server came by to check on us just the right amount of times!! Price is on the high side, but u're paying for the stunning views as well as u're in paradise valley!!! Go ahead and splurge!!!"

Brande H. "We arrived promptly at 7:20 for our 7:30 reservation. We were seated right away. Our drink order was taken within minutes. We had a table with a great view. Ambiance was business casual. The restaurant is on the top floor of The Canopy Hilton hotel. Once we had our wine & mimosa we ordered a few plates to share (spicy garlic shrimp & meat plate) The spicy garlic shrimp came with some bread to dip in sauce. It was good but not great. The meat plate had 2 kinds of cheese, 3 meats, crackers, bread, fog jam, olives & pickled cauliflower. I liked it better. Our waiter (Tony) was very attentive & checked on us often. The sunset view was the best part! We will definitely be back with a group for the views, the food needs work. Just a side note everything is served in plastic. Even their wine (not a fan)has"

Gene T. "This experience was a mixed bag of tricks. I arrived on a Saturday evening with a church group of 20. There was a sign on the door stating the debit machine was down and they were cash only just then. Some of us had to get cash from the ATM incuring a service fee. In the past they let us arrange the tables to accommodate a large group. Today the waitress said we couldn't do that. The place was practically empty and wouldn't have inconvenienced any other customers. Once we got our drink order placed, another woman came out to take our order. She asked why we didn't group the tables and we told her what the waitress had said. She told us she was the boss and that we could group the tables. By then we were seated at two different tables already and remained that way. After about 20 minutes our food began coming out a couple plates at a time. It took about 10 minutes to get the whole order out. One order was wrong and had to be remade. We were served on Styrofoam plates with plastic silverware. I ordered a tostada/enchilada combo. The tostada was perfect. It was loaded with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese. The enchiladas were shredded beef rolled up in a flour tortilla smothered in enchilada sauce and covered with shredded cheese. The dish was served with rice and refried beans. The beans were average. The rice was perfect. The enchiladas were very tasty. I loved the sauce. The tortilla was a little tough making it hard to cut with the plastic knife. The shredded beef was tender and juicy. Pros: the food is pretty good, the price is reasonable, and the portions are generous.Cons: not the greatest place for a large group, ambiance is not that great, and the restroom is shared with the bar next door. The bathroom was not very clean and the dispenser was out of paper towels.Bye the way the order that had to be remade came out just as we were finishing up so he had to it to go."

Cheap drinks, other bar patrons are awesome to socialize with, Owner is cool as hell. There was a DJ on our visit so the music was blasting, folks were dancing, good times all around. Two pool tables, and old arcade games for entertainment, back outside patio for chilling. A true dive bar gem."

Joneice B. "We had a good time here. This establishment is recently open and we wanted to hear from live music. The spot is not too far off the 202. Location is deep in a commercial neighborhood of Chandler. Parking was easy. We were seated close to the stage. Since the place is new we, they were giving baby tours. Inside they are attached to a sports bar. There are also several karaoke rooms available for rent. Near the stage is a VIP room that is open and can be rented out. For food we tried a range of things: wings, sushi, and onion rings. Overall good bar food. We also grabbed a few drinks for the table. Drinks moderately priced. Live music was good. They had a nice band playing from 6pm to 9pm. Overall we enjoyed our evening. If lived in the valley would maybe host a special occasion here in one of the karaoke rooms."

Nicole L. "Walking in, Alibi has a nice atmosphere. I love the roof top vibe. Came here for a work event and boy was it a mess. It seemed like they were not prepared to accommodate our group. The menu is very limited so it was concerning how long some items took to come out. We were in no means any rush but chips and a salsa should not take over an hour to get to the table. The food was a hit or miss. I really enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower. A fellow co-worker enjoyed the edamame but said they were messy and spicy. I personally had the seared ahi with some Asian noodles. I could not eat the pasta. It just didn't go well with the tuna for me. The noodles did not give Asian vibe. It was also cut on the thinner side. I really wish the sesame seeds I saw on the edamame was encrusted on the tuna."

I had both the shrimp and grits, which came with turkey sausage (that's a plus for me) and the French toast. Both were very flavorful! They have a music theme with drinks aligning with that theme. I had a purple drink, although I can't remember the name. It was great.Service was quick. The server was very attentive and the owner even came out to explain the restaurant and the theme.I can't wait to go back and try more menu items."

I can't speak to the food/drinks at the bar b/c we brought our own popcorn & didn't buy anything. So super nice of them to let us just hang out w/o a bar minimum. Alishia R. "It was a vibe for sure. It's more of like a hip hop vibe like club minus the dance floor and food. It was a little busy when we went but it was still cool not too long of a wait and we were seated immediately. It was maybe 5 or so booths so if it's packed packed it could be a little wait. The food was good not as hot as I like but not cold enough to send back....I ordered the 2 oxtail and a catfish taco both well seasoned (fish maybe a sprinkle too much but still cool). They also had hookah and games for the table definitely more of an adult experience so leave the kiddos home for this one all in all a solid 8.5 out of 10!"

Sauce was watery, and everything was flavorless. Seafood wasn't fresh at all. Def work on those seafood boils as they don't look anything like advertised. The ladies teaching line dancing weee great! Seems like a great place to go to unwind with music and dancing, but eat before you go."
