Don't forget to wear bright colors for the best opportunity for a butterfly to land on you! What a cool place, even if I get terrified of them flying near me. One day, I'll have one land on me but enjoyed seeing them land on my niece. What a magical way to celebrate her turning one years old!

I have been to some pretty awesome butterfly zoos/gardens in the USA. This is not the biggest nor the nicest I have ever been. I find it weird that they claim they are the biggest but the one at UFlorida in Gainsville seemed so much bigger. I wonder if maybe because the Fl one was spread out more like a park and not necessary an enclosed atrium design? Not sure. However, with that said, I don't hate this place at all. Ha! This is not bad and much bigger than the one at Phx Zoo, if they still even have one at the zoo. That one is very small and more like just a tent display. Or it was the last time I went. If you have kids I bet they will love it. I mean seriously who does not love butterflies? It is so exciting when they land on you. Heck, even for this old lady I get giddy like a kid when one lands on me. Depending on you body scent that can be hilarious! If you have an orange or floral scented lotion on you will get inundated with friends landing right on your arms. Hahaaha Just be careful and let them be. If you like plants this is a good place to go to learn about them too. These places are getting pricey but try to go on an event night where it is cheaper. I went on a Teacher Appreciation Day event so I did not feel i was losing out much if I hated it, which I did not. However, full price might not seem worth it to you. 32.00 dollars is a lot. I see you can do bundles now for more than one admission to the varied entertainment experiences the Boardwalk has to offer. That might be a better option. The mall it is in is cool. It has a lot of fun things to do and kids will have options if they get bored. The vendors in that mall change though so make sure to call or check the internet first. In the past, I have gone to the Dino restaurant which is awesome but not sure that same theme is there anymore. Have fun but make sure you don't bring home any butterfly hitchhikers. lol they love my hair. It must be the Aqua Net hairspray. teehee!!!!! Don't worry the breezeway doors will blow them back in or the staff will make sure you don't adopt any new pets for your ride home.

I used to absolutely love butterfly wonderland and had a annual pass 10 years ago and was there quite often to get my annual pass worth.Fast forward to today. This is like a decade later. I brought my friend from out of town and it was nice to see updates to the place but the people that work at butterfly wonderland are not very friendly. They don't greet you when you walk inAnd I had to initiate conversation to the 2 women at the desk by the photo opt green screen. I was like we already have our tickets do we get them scanned here. The one that scanned us in just looked at me in disgust. Nothing came out of her mouth. No "enjoy your time, go this way" nothing. The other worker didn't even acknowledge us either. Okay maybe it's a one off days and they're having a bad day. We go down the hallway to make our way to the little butterfly movie and there's a school also waiting. The worker that would let us in to watch the butterfly video just stood there and starred. She then said if we want we can go see butterflies first and come back we could. Were in the cocoon room looking around and then we were ready to go into the conservatory. We get let in the little waiting area room. No instructions and door does say "wait for an attendant" so my friend and I wait. There is a worker on a stool near the door. After waiting for what seems like 10 minutes so we look at the worker on the stool in conservatory and knock on the window. She looks at us and gives us an ugly stare. We decided to go back to the cocoon room as we're not sure what to quite do. I've been here many times before in the past and this is so disorganized here. You would think workers would be happy to be working at such a beautiful place. I know I would and I used to for the winter wonderland holiday time as an angel. Everything was just off. The conservatory with butterflies was absolutely magically beautiful and my friend loved it. I know what to expect and do as I said I used to work here during the holidays. The only co worker that interacted with us positively was the attendant in the reptile room. It was a very disappointing visit.

First of all these butterfly things are pricey But I enjoy them and its worth it to me. First time here but have been to several including one in Aruba. My home state of Ohio has seasonal ones in Cincinnati and Columbus. In Aruba though the price got you in for a week ... would be nice if they all did that. If you are going to be in the area look at the combos options to save money on tickets. I spent every but of of an hour or 2. I already have reciprocal botanical garden pass but it's really cold this morning in the 30s. I was bitter cold and uncomfortable so found this to do inside while it warms up to the 50 and 60s. and this was very comfortable. Most butterfly things are super hot and humid glad it was nice. lots of butterflies ..fun

I decided to visit with my six-year-old since we've done the aquarium before but never tried the butterfly experience. Tickets are $24.95 for adults and $17.95 for kids aged 2 and up. It's a bit pricey, but I went for it to try something new, especially during Christmas break--anything to keep my kid entertained and avoid going stir crazy at home! It was amusing to watch people get a little freaked out when a butterfly landed on them. Overall, it's a one-and-done kind of place, but it was fun nonetheless.

Overall such a great experience and my 2-year-old loves it! When we started we watched a 15-minute 3D video on the migration of butterflies. The video was so engaging my little one wanted to watch it again. As we moved there there was a little waiting room area where we all had to slowly wait to enter the Butterfly Wonderland but once you entered it did not disappoint. It was amazing! The setup was so calming and beautiful. Once you leave the butterfly area they have a mini aquarium set up and reptile area. All a nice add to the experience.

Felt so magical inside! So many butterflies and they will even land on you! I thought that maybe they would all be hidden but no! My son loved the Choi fish pond too. There's also some other exhibits that are small but still fun to see, can't wait to go back!

Magical Mother's Day weekend @butterflywonderlandaz in Scottsdale, AZ, including a short 3D movie on Monarch migration, a walk through the hatchery, a visit to the butterfly garden, and the Milkweed Cafe. There's a reptile exhibit and an aquarium exhibit near the exit. We loved the insect snack vending machine.

We picked this as one of the 2 spots we visited while at Arizona Boardwalk. The 3D film was really informative and beautiful. It's at the start of the experience and I would recommend not to skip out on this. There's so much more here than just a butterfly conservatory. I had fun trying to find as many different butterflies as possible. When you get tired of watching butterflies there's a whole rainforest reptile exhibit to explore. Definitely a fun afternoon!
