I will always go back to this place no matter what. Everything is amazing here!! We ordered shrimp ceviche (super large and shareable) the salmon & tuna nigiri (fresh quality) the hamachi salmon roll, hamachi crudo (amazing must get if you are into raw fish!) oysters, tuna crispy rice, ribeye steak, their bread. Everything was cooked well and shareable. The steak was okay but everything else is worth to get! I will say must get the tuna crispy rice and shrimp ceviche! I've had other things on the menu but these are the must order. Their seafood tower is amazing when shared with other people. I love their cocktails here such as 40 love and Bobby love! Their service is fast and ambiance is the place to be at! Highly recommend.

Twas my first time visiting Buck and Rider and it was a very pleasant experience overall. For not having reservations, we were able to sit in their outdoor section since the rest of the restaurant was fully booked. I guess their happy hour is great since the bar was packed and with a waiting list. No matter, since luckily the patio area had heaters. So I started off with a Kyoto sour cocktail which was very sweet and refreshing. Next was the Caesar salad, eh it was okay-nothing special. After that, I had the steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. This was the tastiest part of the meal. The rainbow carrots were a nice accompaniment to the steak but weren't cooked evenly so it was a guessing game to which parts were raw vs not. Lastly, the over the top presented lemon meringue pie was a nice touch to the end of the meal.

I used to rant and rave about buck and rider to my friends and family and it was my go to place to take people when they were in town but not anymore. I don't know what has happened but now service and the food is lacking. I live really near by so I have gone many times to this location. I came for brunch, ordered all items I have previously had, only to be disappointed by a long hair in my rice for my ahi appetizer. It was literally mixed into the rice and deep fried into it. I put the appetizer in the middle of the table and waited over 10 minutes for a server to even notice there was an issue at all. By the time she came by our main dishes were almost on their way which defeats the whole point of the appetizer. The main dishes came (before the refire) which we had steak and eggs and fish and chips. Sadly my steak was tough, fat not rendered and the chimichurri was very bland vs the last time I had this dish. The manager who dropped the appetizer off just laughed and told us "we made her tie her hair in a bow this time" I'm sorry but it's common practice to always have your hair tied back in this industry and if their beard, or hair is too long and a issue they need a beard guard or hair net. Cherry on top there was another hair in my husbands fries. He didn't even want to bother waiting for another dish. Extremely surprised and disappointed. I've gone here dozens of times, love your champagne bottle deals on Sunday but my last experience was just not pleasant.

My husband and I have eaten here multiple times and haven't had a bad experience! Everything is delicious- from the oysters to the sushi for appetizers and then the crab cakes and risotto for dinner! My only thing is I wish they didn't use seed oils. Because the food has been so amazing, we decided to spend NYE here! Great service! I loved the complimentary champagne for the count down! Also! Don't forget about their pie! 10/10!

We came for dinner on a Thursday night. It was really busy but we had a reservation. .the atmosphere of the restaurant was very open but Cosy. They had a nice fresh shucking section and the kitchen was nice and open. I really liked itWe got seated about 20 mins late which we were fine about. As soon as we sat down we were served side Caesar salads. Which we thought was part of the flow but come to find out it was a mistake for another table.I personally ordered the scallops with asparagus and 6 oysters with the Thai dipping sauce and mignonette. My friends ordered the ribs, burger and a crab sushi. The service was excellent and super friendly. Food came out in good timeThe food was above average. But it wasn't memorable though everything tasted good. We also ordered two pies for dessert. This was also good. Service though was great and they ended up giving us the oysters for free because of the delay in being seated. We were very happy with this unexpected gestureI will be back for the ambience and service more than the food but I do love the selection of seafood and it is high quality

Stopped in last night to enjoy my birthday dinner with my girlfriend at the bar, and overall, it was a good experience! Was surprised that there was a wait to sit at the bar at four in the afternoon, but also nice to see the hustle and bustle. Service overall was wonderful, with everyone behind the bar contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Very professional. A special shoutout to Michael, who stood out with his playfulness and positive energy--he really made the evening memorable. The mocktail crafted by the first bartender was absolutely delightful, packed with grapefruit goodness, a dried lemon, and mint--so refreshing! I'm sorry I didn't catch his name.We loved the Caesar salad, calamari, and happy hour oysters. While the oysters were mostly great, a couple had a bit of crunchy grit, which was a bit off putting. The scallop dinner was good but not worth the price point honestly. The scallops were well grilled but the sauces and accompaniments left us wanting a little more in terms of flavor and creativity. We mostly ignored what came with it and just ate the scallops with lime juice and french fries. While the dish wasn't bad, it's not something I'd order again. Before leaving, we asked about a birthday dessert. The only option was macaroons, which neither one of us wanted. I appreciated the effort from the bartender to ask about other options for a birthday dessert treat, though it's a bit disappointing that he was turned down. Love that he tried. The playfulness of putting birthday names on the board is fun, but snapping a photo felt awkward with diners seated directly underneath the sign so didn't end up with a photo. Maybe another year The ambience at happy hour is fantastic, and the atmosphere feels lively and inviting. However, the prices feel a little high considering the overall menu options and flavor profiles. Still, it was a lovely way to celebrate, and the staff's warmth and energy made the experience special!

Buck and Rider is absolutely a beautiful restaurant. Despite a slow start from being acknowledged by a server., the service altogether was impeccable along with the food. We started with shared appetizers, and the oysters were magnificent and super fresh along with the calamari. The champagne served could've been a lot more chilled. The shrimp and grits were out of this world and they also have a beautiful patio. Other reviews mentioned it is very loud inside the restaurant which is very true. The restrooms are sparkling clean. Altogether it is not a cheap restaurant to dine however, the quality of the food is very high and I understand now why it's so popular.

Came to AZ for a mini getaway and met our nephew here for dinner. The ambiance was cozy and has a romantic vibe. Great place for a 1st date. I also saw a bachelorette party bus unload here! Haha. Walked in, at 7:30pm. My reservations were at 9:30pm. They were so welcoming and accommodating. We were able to sit on the outside patio, candle lit, fireplace with heat lamps all around. It was a perfect spot. Sat within 5 minute. We were a party of 5. They let us know we had the option to dine on the patio, instead of wait for a table at 9:30pm and we said yes! It was a chilly night but the heat lamps kept us cozy and warm! Perfect Al Fresca dining.Let's the talk about the food... The Ceviche, Rissoto, and banana crème pie were the stars of the show! I ordered the pasta but it was a little on the spicy side - still delish but I probably would get the rissoto next time. I was picking off of my nephew! lol.The food was delicious, but what made it a 4 star experience was our waitress Gaby. She was so helpful and professional. Exceptional service and her recommendations were on point!!!! Thank you Gaby... you are a Star!Definitely come and check this spot out. Mayo location by the Whole Foods.

My sister and her bf was visiting from Texas and I wanted to bring them somewhere for dinner that had a great ambiance, not too casual or too fancy and just an over all good vibe. I found this spot before in camelback but never got to try it and when they opened this location close to the house, it was a must! Our reservation was for 12/23 at 5pm. We got seated within 5 minutes of our reservations and we chose to sit outside. There was a cute fireplace and heaters which was perfect. We were hoping for happy hour only to find out that it is not a part of the seated reservation and just at the bar, so that was kind of inconvenient and annoying which is why this only for 4 stars. The food was really good however, especially the calamari and mussels. The drinks were also good and quite strong which means they actually create cocktails and not just mixed drinks.I'd definitely come again but they should rethink having happy hour for all areas of the restaurant and not just the bar areas.
