The service here was horrible! The waitress Ana came to take our order asked what we wanted but suddenly thought she had forgotten to bring another table something. She yelled out loudly to the other table and left us without an excuse me, sorry, or any explanation. Our grandson spilled his drink and I got up to let Ana know. I told her. She spent the next two minutes pouring coffee and tending to others needs. We left. We won't be going back.

This place surprised me. My bf and I were meeting someone who is a truck driver and we met up with him here. Service was okay. Food took a little long and we didn't get the side orders until we asked for it. (We were supposed to get it before the main meal) But that's tolerable. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and they were delicious! Ambience is not something you would expect from a restaurant that is at a gas station. Probably because this is a chain restaurant. It had a cute diner vibe.

First let me say, this place has only been open for 3 weeks and it is Mother's Day. Kinks are to be expected, as was a wait. My boys brought me here for breakfast.We were told the wait would be about an hour, and were prepared for that with the newness and holiday factored in. It was almost exactly an hour in when we were seated.A waitress got our drink orders as we browsed the menu. Amanda, our server took our food orders. I chose the traditional eggs Benedict, one son got top sirloin, another the Hobo omelette.Then, we waited.And waited.And waited.And ...... waited....An hour and a half after ordering, we were getting antsy. If I hadn't wanted my eggs Benedict so bad, we would have walked out, like several others did.It took 2.5 hours after we were seated to receive our plates. I know this from the time stamps on the photos I took. Thankfully my breakfast was great. I told Amanda it was worth the wait, because I truly enjoyed it.I have never in my life been to a more mis-managed restaurant. I understand rushes and long waits, but this was beyond horrible from a service perspective. I felt bad for the staff, the servers were taking a hit and you could see it on their faces. Take out and online orders should have been stopped. People should have been turned away so that the kitchen could catch up.After the meal, the bill was a bit shocking. Amanda took my OJ off the tab. Gee, thanks. $70 bucks for a four hour experience, most of it spent waiting. I am less than impressed. If we had been warned that it would be a long wait for our food too, we might have gone elsewhere.I might go back after they have been open for 9-12 months. No promises.

Service was extremely slow which in itself I could overlook. However the eggs Benedict was not what I am accustomed to. Stingy with the hollandaise, ham was extremely salty, hash browns were not normal, and fruit cup was not ripe. Overall, not a good experience.

Amanda was our server & she was very friendly, professional, and did a good job! We were waited on immediately, our beverages came right away. She took our order & they were both hot & delicious! Black Bear Diner has improved immensely in their service! We will be back!!

I was just new to Arizona City and my neighbor recommended this dinerThe slowest service EVERTHEN 20 mins for menu and another 20 minutes for service and another 35 mins for food and after all that the food was cold AND NOT WHAT WE HAD ORDERED AND THEN NO REFILLS ON COFFEE AND THE WAITRESS THAT WAS ALSO THE HOSTESSWAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALLAND THIS WAS WITH ONLY 3 tables occupied and 1 Customer at counterThe restaurant was clean and although it wasn't what we ordered it was goodNeed more staff and more friendly and welcoming

We have been here several times for breakfast. My husband likes the chicken fried steak. Scrambled eggs are good. I get my eggs over-easy always. The only problem is over-easy and they are raw and slimy and have had to send them back (5 times). Over medium and they are hard. I wish they knew how to cook eggs. I love the hash ribbons and wheat toast is awesome.
