Backyard Taco

I have been going to BYT since they only had a single location and a handful of items on the menu. It is nice to see them expanding, both locations and the menu. This location is pretty convenient for us and if I want a couple of street tacos and a horchata, I'll make the trip here. I like all of the meats and the Papa Loca is something I'll get if I am extra hungry (think mashed potatoes with meat, onions, cilantro, etc., in a foil wrapper). Definitely eat that with a SPOON (the fork will puncture the foil and make you miserable). I don't know why, but on this trip, the dining room was FREEZING. It was over 100 outside, but inside felt like 60. While it seems like more of a corporate operation now than a "backyard," they still manage to crank out food that has that just-off-the-grill flavor. Service at the register was fast, though getting our order took longer than usual. I think a large batch of orders from the "Taco Tuesday" to-go order crowd got in front of us. I use their loyalty app, which has been hit or miss. It has been getting better, but the integration between the app and the POS system is not all there yet. I like their horchata and jamaica and the salsa bar is well-stocked. I don't understand people who pile a plate full of the pickled onions (like a whole onion's worth) and another piled high with pico de gallo (I use this as a topping, even though I joke that it IS my vegetable), but I guess as long as you're going to eat it, enjoy. Just make sure to save some for the rest of us!

I've visited Backyard Taco on Signal Butte a few times, and while the food is decent, the overall experience leaves something to be desired. Some of the staff seem uninterested or even bothered by questions, which makes the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. The tipping system at the register is also odd to me--ringing a bell if you tip, but not if you don't, feels unnecessary, especially since there isn't any real table service.That said, the good staff members do stand out and make a positive difference. If the overall customer service were more consistent, I'd be more impressed. For now, it's an okay spot for an occasional meal, but not somewhere I go out of my way to visit.

Lunch...always good...service is incredible so I always tip them well...the food is always fresh & delicious...and the ambiance is good whether I eat outside or inside. Can't beat this place!

For awhile, I've heard many people rave about this chain of restaurants. They opened this one near my house and I've been meaning to try it. I try to stick to a vegetarian diet, and saw they didn't have much but did have two options. I opted for the potato one, which I thought was a bit pricey for what you get. Overall, it lacked flavor in my opinion but glad they had a well-stocked salsa bar to add items to spruce it up. This location was pretty spacious inside with a decent amount of tables. I loved their napkin dispenser as it dispensed the perfect amount of napkins - never seen one like that before! They also had Cherry Coke which is always a restaurant win for me. Overall, it was a decent meal and experience with friendly counter service. I'll definitely return and try the vegetarian bowl to see if it has more flavor.

I stopped in to try this unfamiliar chain while I was traveling.My pollo taco ($3.75) was available just a few minutes after I ordered at the counter. It was nicely sized with a good amount of chunky, perfectly cooked chicken on my choice of soft flour or corn double layer tortillas.I liked the extensive toppings bar with a good variety of clearly labeled toppings and salsas.I also noticed a spacious dining area inside with a patio and two drive-thru lanes outside.They offer burrito Monday and taco Tuesday specials along with a good price on rice and bean combos.Nice!

Fresh, convenient, and affordable mexican food! We can easily feed our family of four under $40 and I love their coupons in the mailer. My go to is the carne asada quesadilla with the beans and chips appetizer. Portions are quite large and come with a variety of sauces to choose from; I love the guac based! When dining in, there are fresh toppings to load up tacos and tons of drink options. The have a drive thru for quick visits and staff is always super helpful. I've noticed that tables inside could be cleaned in a more timely manner, but we'll definitely keep coming back.

This place has the worst service in the world my wife and I went to have dinner at this location when we enter this place there was no one in the restaurant all the employees were talking to each other near the cooking line we waited for 5 minutes and no one came to take care of us this is not uncommon for the employees in this place to pay more attention to themselves instead of the paying customers. So we turned around and left. We are never coming back to this place there is hundreds of Mexican food places where they might care about paying customers. We got the power to choose where to spend our money and this place is not the right place to spend your money.

the tacos were just ok. definitely better than any other fast food. I felt that the staff was there for just the job, not contributing to the experience, waiting for you to tip to ring a bell was not good at all. it's all about the money and you pay for a two taco dinner over 10 dollars. sorry, not a fan.

Came in through the drive thru and ordered chicken tacos. When I got home and took a bite, the chicken was completely raw and still cold. When I went back to return the food and get a refund, the manager said it was the grill guys fault. I feel disgusted.

This is my first time eating here, but I'll definitely come back! I wanted to see if flan could be put in the milkshake and I bought them separately. It seems I'm not the only one who had this idea! The manager Fernando also had this idea. I got horchata with flan blended in. It was creamy and added a nice texture. Fernando is also enthusiastic and seems to love his job. He brightens the whole place up!
