AZ Medical Weight Control

The attendant at the front desk is extremely rude. They mixed up my time and I had it a half an hour early. I explained to her that the time that I wrote down with a half an hour later and I arrived 20 minutes earlier. The waiting room was empty. she refused to talk to the provider. I will not be making another appointment. I would not recommend this.

What a great place I just love the staff they are aways polite and very helpful. I will definitely be returning next and the week after. Thank you Az medical weight control.

My experience here at AZ Medical Weight Control has been amazing!! I just completed my 5th week and I am down 10.6lbs!! I am feeling and looking so much better. The staff is very efficient and very friendly. I do not even wait more that 5 minutes to be seen each week. Coming in each week keeps me accountable . I will continue coming to AZ until I lose another 30 lbs.I am excited to get my body back . .

My name is Marc Beilin and this is my honest review of an amazing staff of wonderful ladies and doctors who actually care about your health and are very serious about helping you lose weight and the bestttt part is the cost.You get each week for 6 weeks a b-12 shot 7 fat burner pills and 14 Lipo bc pills for only 35.00 dollars total just mention Groupon This is what we call a "No Brainer" if your not using this program at this cost then you have no intentions of losing weight and improving your health My only regret in telling you this is its going to force them to build a bigger place because the lines will be out the door with people as smart as me who are taking advantage of this amazing program and at this ridicilous price Tell them I sent you and thank me and them in your prayers as your having to buy all new way better fitting clothes and your family and friends are asking you how you did it You will be able to tell them just like I have by saying this is the place to be

Grrrr. I'm going to write this now as nicely as I can without showing my anger. I've been coming here off and on since 2013. Although the long wait, everyone and the male and the female provider have always been super nice. Today: Totally different experience. The place was empty, cool, the provider, and new one I hadn't seen before, an African-American lady, seemed nice. BUT the first thing she said was "you were on phentermine..blah blah...we haven't seen you since January...blah blah...small talk." "Well I don't think your a candidate for Phentermine, considering your addictive tendencies" with the Ambien your on.." Me: Wtf?!?!?! I don't even really take that... Her: "well you just filled It, and Codine too (ummm my arm is in a cast lol I broke it 2 weeks ago) I know those things are hard to get off of... when you are able to work out again someday maybe you can I do it, but I don't want to get you addicted to something else." I'm marking your file not a candidate because of your prescription. (Mind you...since I have been coming here...through having a baby, always taking Ambien... (which they have ALWAYS known it's NEVER been an issue) and now because you think your Sherlock Holmes by pulling my PNP you can insult me?Me: okay...thanks (i just left) I said nothing...what the f@#k I'm a manager at a FREAKING SUBSTANCE ABUSE AGENCY!!!! Great Place, horrible provider.

Need to lose a quick 15-20 lbs? This is the place to do it. I've been looking for a place like this since I moved to AZ almost a year ago. They don't tie you in to some BS 1 year contract, they don't waste your time with in-house workouts and meetings to go over food journals, there is always a nurse or nutritionist here to answer questions if you have any. It's simple and effective, and very affordable. So if your like me, and already know what you need to do (eat healthy and exercise) then this place will get you to your goal. I go with the basic energy plan, it's 25 a week. Just remember, there is no magic pill that will make you skinny while living an unhealthy lifestyle. But if your committed to getting in shape, the medication you get here is a HUGE help.

Ill sum up what a lot of other Yelp reviewers have said. Location: In a seedy part of town. It is located in the store strip right next to the QT gas station. Inside smells strongly of air freshener..Not the good kind. Too over powering, but it seemed tidy. It is small with few places to sit with the amount of people in there. However the people seemed to shift in and out pretty quickly. Staff: Was friendly and informative. They got me in and out pretty fast. considering I was a walk in as well.Products: I came in only interested in the Phentermine. They have an intro special for new patients($10 for 2 weeks supply). After that it is $15/week. No consultation fee either. They also gave me a free B12 shot as well. You can only get up to 2 weeks at a time and then have to return for remainder. I was first seen by an assistant who took my weight, fat composition etc. Then we chose a calorie/diet plan. She thoroughly went over everything I am supposed to be eating daily. It's pretty common sense and I already knew everything so she was able to skim through pretty quick. I was then seen by the doctor who went over the drug information and my meal plan as well. Phentermine: I was put on 30mg. Today is only the second day, but I have been on drugs similar. I have a high tolerance, so upon taking it yesterday didn't really affect me drastically. I was already quite tired upon taking it, and that didn't change much throughout the day. I felt a slight surge mid day but that quickly went away. I have to say my appetite was nil. I had to force feed myself and remind myself to up my water intake. I had no issues sleeping either. Ill see how things progress once im on it for a while. If you are looking for a plan to really help change your lifestyle and eating habits..probably not the place for it. If however, you are like me and lead a decent lifestyle but just need a little push, this place is it. Compared to other places I researched you cant get better prices. Everywhere I looked charged you $100+ for just the consultation and that didn't include the price of medicine.

As others have said, this place should not purport to be a "Medical" weight loss clinic. It truly is a "get what you pay for - here are some pills that will help - you figure it out - and don't die in the meantime." The staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. It isn't their fault that their employer has not designed a system that will provide truly supervised medical weight loss. But if you want quick and easy access to B12 shots and appetite suppressants, this place will serve you well. I wanted to lose 6 pounds and I did it in three weeks. If you have serious weight loss needs or truly want someone to show you the way, this is not the place for you.

As stated in the other reviews this is a great place to go to if all you want are pills with no fuss and no muss. This is will be great way to jump-start my weight loss. But about the facility in general, it's easy to drive right pass this place (its next door to QT), its small and was packed when I walked in. I had my appointment scheduled for 10 AM. because I was a new patient, but wasn't seen until 10:45!! Kinda ridiculous. But other than that...all in all it was great. I never felt pressured while there. Nor did anyone try to "up sell" me. I will be returning.One more thing, I'm 95% sure their scale is off by 15 pounds.

This place is great it's clean and the staff is awesome I recommend it highly I like this location more then the avendale one
