Arizona American Italian Club

I attended a car club show here it was great. They have a restaurant attached. It just says community culture. I love it. They have a ATM so if you are at a car show and wanna buy something that only accepts cash that's great. You have a beautiful background of the Arizona Hills And everyone is so nice and treats you like family

I was curious about this club as I am of Italian heritage and decided to stop by a couple weeks ago. Former Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio celebrated turning 91 years of age, Italian-style with a pink theme to represent pink underwear that he had his inmates wear at tent city, along with a big rectangular cake (w/ pink underwear images). There were also free pizza & snacks.The club (or small venue) was established in the 1950s and offers a membership to join. They serve Italian food and drinks(membership required) and host a bingo game. They have games to play with in the yard. Various events such as weddings, reunions, birthday parties, the usual. Like the neighborhood it's located in, it remains unretouched and kept up aestheticly...Like some others, I chime in that it felt like a step back in time, like parents partying there back then. The people in attendance were jovial and the staff was polite. Thanks for the fun!

Arrived about 7ish on a Saturday to see a local country band with friends to find the parking lot jammed. Apparently they were also celebrating Sheriff Joe Arpaio's birthday in the hall. Bar side is a decent size with a dance floor and round tables scattered about. Smoking patio. When approaching the bar the bartender didn't give the warm fuzzies and wasn't very friendly but as the evening wore on she warmed up. Food was good but..since the band was playing you had to go to a corner of the restaurant to order. Stood in line 30 minutes then waited another 30 for the food to arrive. Restrooms clean. We had a great time here and it was inexpensive, so why the 3 stars? There was a gentleman there that was very disrespectful to ALL staff. When my husband said something to him he said, "I run this joint you can leave at anytime". Apparently this is the president of the club. Not a good way to represent or get new members. Without this A holes input our experience would have been 5 star.

I am not a member but many of their events and facilities are open to the general public from what I am told. Please call and check though. Everyone was such wonderful, gracious, and generous hosts for our Pin-Up pageant this past weekend. I cannot comment on the Bingo but man I want to come back and play. They had country music dance lessons later on the night we were there. The food is very good. The bar service was outstanding by Domingo, Annie and staff. I want to go back and try some of the other menu items to satisfy my inner New Yorker. I love Italian food. Thank you to all the people who helped Kathy put on such a great show at Ms. AZ Pin Up. We had so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty memorable.

Brought my 84 yr old 100% Italian Mom here for the first time for bingo, this is definitely not an Italian club!! The menu was mainly Mexican food, and no cannolis at an Italian club??? The bingo patrons were very rude!! Highly disappointed considering we're used to traditional Italian clubs in Chicago.

My visit was for an Italian night of music hosted by high school students performing with instruments. While the show was nice and the students played very well, I don't think I'll return to this club. The single ticket was only $20 and I got what I paid for. Food was below average! Tomato sauce so sugary! Where did you learn to make such a sauce with so much sugar and call it "Italian"? Pasta was not al dente. Second point that really pissed me off was the customer service of the bartenders at the bar. Gini, older woman who claims to be Italian but doesn't know a word of Italian, was very rude to me! I sat down at the bar and asked for a margarita. No choice of tequila was asked to me, although I saw they have the full bar. With an attitude of superiority, Gini asked for my ID, looked at it very well, took it in the back room with her, and served me the sugary lousy margarita. Could not taste any alcohol. It didn't even have salt. At the end of the bill, I also had to ask her to give me my ID back.! What? You don't believe I am 25?????!!! So rude and impolite. Go to Italy and learn how to treat people a bit warmer and kinder. Oh, and how do you claim to be Italian again? I can forgive the food, but definitely not the way a customer like me, who was born and raised in Italy, gets treated. For all TRUE ITALIANS FROM ITALY: this is no a place for you. It's a place for older Americans who have grandparents from Italy. Nothing wrong with that. But I could not feel home not even for a second. I know many Italian folks around the valley who, like me, were born and raised in Italy and their primary language is Italian. And all of them, discouraged me from this club. Well now I know what they were talking about. The few Americans I met at the concert were nice people. But again, I was expecting more ITALY and less AMERICA.

New chef, new amazing dining experience!!! New Italian chef is amazing! Real, made from scratch, food. Best pizza! Homemade crust, sauce and ingredients! Can't wait to try more! A welcome upgrade for this great local club! Can't wait to try the homemade pasta!

We love this place! It's not perfect but it's perfectly suited for us. It's an old school social club. We love, love, love that they have dinner and dancing on the weekends!!! There aren't really many places for dinner and dancing anymore that aren't loud nightclubs with an even louder singles scene. The staff and patrons are super friendly and welcoming whether you are Italian or not. And Richard, the current president went out of his way to introduce himself and welcome us to the club. This is truly our new favorite date spot!

I attended a birthday party at the club recently. The room was decorated very well. Balloon arches, floral centerpieces, table linens and napkins. A great DJ was plying for the party. Great set up for music and dancing. Food was a buffet and it was excellent. Will start having my parties there.
