I had the day off work, so I stopped in for breakfast. I have lived here for nearly two years and drive by all the time. The interior is very small, but accomodates about a dozen people around the counter. There are two tables for two by the front door as well. Please keep in mind, meals are prepared one at a time, so when you stop in, have patience. I arrived at just after 10:15 and left just before noon. There was about an hour wait for my meal from when I arrived. I knew this ahead of time, had no other plans, so I was patient. The place was filled with local regulars when I arrived, conversation was easy and everyone was friendly. The young man taking orders is relatively new and he gets flustered easy, give him a chance, everyone starts somewhere. As I waited several items were mentioned as being out, so the earlier you go, the better chance of getting exactly what you want. The food was absolutley delicious and well worth the wait! I enjoyed two scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast, with a glass of orange juice. I ate every bite and felt very satisfied afterwards. The price was perfect! If you are using a credit card, you will need to tell them the tip you intend to leave ahead of time, as they can't be added later if you don't have any cash.I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely come back. I have been told they have the best burgers in town!

Well this was a fun surprise! We've driven by this small shop several times and finally decided to check it out. This place is small - probably 10-12 stools around a u-shaped counter. You are assumed to be part of the conversation with the regulars. And the staff are nice, and full of sass. We had planned on breakfast but they were serving ham dinners for an early Christmas special, so we went with plan B! The food was good. The pies were from Sam's club, but not bad for a diner special. We will definitely be back.

Yep...this place set you waaaaay back. To about 1965. This is a small town cafe situated in the same building as Alex's Service. In fact, I think they are owned by the same people. But once you see the place, you'll think you've gone back in time.I was looking for a yard sale when I stumbled onto this place. I was hungry, so I dropped in for breakfast. I would have fit in better if i was driving a 1965 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The service shop is something you'd see on Route 66. But...heck...we're in Arizona City...a small postage stamp of a town between Phoenix and Tucson on Highway 10.When I went in, the local people were eating. Seemed friendly enough. Sat down at the small cafe counter (the kind that the waitress can walk inside of and be surrounded by patrons with easy access to the kitchen). I ordered the #1 breakfast. Eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and toast. Plus coffee. $8 total plus tip. Usual faire, nothing to write home about....just write to Yelp. What I did notice was that I was certainly not a local. They looked me over like I was a direct descendent of Roswell and Area 51. I ate my breakfast mostly in peace, but had to chime in when one old fella was having a discussion about chickens and how he's never heard of 10 chickens laying 12 eggs in one day. I said it's possible because they could have twins. In fact, two eggs look alike, don't they?? No chuckles from the stares I got. Must have thought I was either right or they were simply confused about my out-of-town smarts. Oh well...sip my coffee. When I left, the gal that served me came out to the parking lot to watch me leave. Like she was worried I was somebody...like the state health department.Well, let me tell ya, lady. I liked the breakfast and I like the atmosphere. I'm just a guy getting a good meal. And I don't have antennae hidden in my hair.Good eats.

Open for breakfast and lunch only the Food is down home cooking. There is plenty of it and it comes out hot. You may have to wait a bit for your food as the grill and fryer are small. (they only have about 12 seats). This means only one or 2 orders can be cooked at a time. So sit down and talk to your neighbor till your food comes out. For what it is it is the best.Four of us go as often as we are in the neighborhood, we would not think of going by and not stopping

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Down home cooking and you never feel like a stranger there. Jim and Cathy are great, witty and lots of fun. They both are good cooks as well. You will leave full with a smile on your face wether you eat in or carry out, and you will still have money in your pocket.

They even have a waitress that will take you home and teach you how to sort laundry and put your initials in your socks and pants.
