Went to our cousin's wedding in December at this venue, it was beautiful. Not in the best neighborhood, but don't let the surroundings fool you. Inside is beautiful, open, & can be decorated for contemporary chic or farm style/country wedding. Everything in one stop, ceremony, photo ops, cocktails, dinner and dancing. The couple had a full open bar, signature cocktails, beer burro (cutest, was a hit), dinner catered by Babbo's, DJ, dessert bar, VW van photobus, & Caffio mobile cafe. The dancing at night was a bit cold, because it was outside in December, but they had propane standing heaters available if you were sitting. Beautiful venue! My cousin did a great job planning all the details, so part of the experience is kudos to her, the groom, and family. It was an epic night!!

Beautiful place for weddings. Came here for a friends wedding. The ceremony was outside and the cocktail hour too and inside was the reception area. We took photos outside which there were many options to chose from. The fire place, the wooden wall, the fountain, and the canopy. They also had space heaters outside. My friends choose babbo Italian eatery to cater. They brought out snack bites around for cocktail hour. Also we had 2 pastas and 2 chickens and 2 types of salads to choose from.

My daughter and son-in-law were married at Aldea Wedding in the Woods in Flagstaff, on June 19, 2021. I saw all the pictures online from their website and thought it would indeed be a lovely place for the type of ambiance that the bride and groom wanted to create. As for the service and reception it was very nicely done. The staff worked hard to have everything come together beautifully. My daughter said, it was all that she wanted, except that her bridal party was miserable in the bridal suite, and that the wedding was delayed. But, I digress....NICE FACILITYBEAUTIFUL PICTURESORGANINZED AND EFFICENT STAFFNow the big problem! For all that will have their wedding here from mid-May through mid-September a warning!!Some people (businesses too) in Flagstaff believe that it is not hot during the day up there and that they do NOT need to air condition their buildings? Or at least to provide an air condition unit to their rooms. (They have units at Costco for $400 that you can plug in and cool down the space!!!!)The poor bridal party was sweltering in the Bridal suite for 5 hours. The bride was so overheated that, although she her hair and makeup was almost done, and we tried everything to cool her down, she had to try to find a cooler place to be. It was not to be had. Even out of doors, the air was humid and not moving. Although the staff tried to help by bringing in almost every fan they had. (We ended up with 4) Opening up the windows and doors, bringing in ice packs and cold packs, the room never improved. Of course, it won't improve, a bridal suite has bridesmaids, curling irons, extra bright clown lighting for makeup, and a steamer. (Which we promptly put in the hall) As it happened, the bride had to have a bridesmaid or friend hold and ice pack to her back and a fan to her front to help her start her makeup and hair over so she could get through the ordeal. This caused an hour delay for the start of the wedding. What should have been a very nice time for the bride with her bridesmaids, anticipating her wedding day, was a hot, miserable, sweaty experience for the entire bridal party. If you are coming up to get married ANYWHERE IN FLAGSTAFF from May to Sept. Check that there is air conditioning. During the summer, Flagstaff, while cooler than Phoenix gets up to over 95 degrees during the day. Most people would prefer to have the temperature quite a bit cooler than 95, even if you are not dressing for a wedding! The venue assured us that the room would be cooler when the BRIDAL PARTY LEFT the room for the wedding, but, later around 9:30 when I went back in and no one was in the room. It was still quite warm. But think about THAT comment, you're supposed to be in the room together, getting dressed, having fun, we don't need cooler temperatures when we are NOT in the room.I did reach out to the venue owners, while they seemed sympathetic, they told me that NO ONE ELSE HAS COMPLAINED. I reminded them that they were a NEW venue and this was their first SUMMER in Flagstaff, so I was not surprised. I did recommend they consider the next poor bridal party and invest in 'Room air conditioner'. They assured me they would reach out to my daughter to go over these concerns. They did not. Neither did they follow up with me. Oh and ask if they have wifi now. That was a mess for the DJ.If they had followed up, I would have given them 4 stars.

I visited Phoenix for the first time this past Halloween to attend a friend's weeding at Aldea and now I'm wishing I could get married there! Granted the bride's vision probably added to the experience as well as the perfect weather, but even so, I thought this place was lovely.Aldea reminded me of a Mexican hacienda. The ceremony was held in the courtyard, where the bride and bridesmaids were able to enter via a balcony walkway and down a staircase for a grand entrance. Hors d'oeuvres were served in another courtyard while a mariachi band played. The reception was held inside, in a smallish banquet room with a dance floor and lovely arches. The wedding was an old-style Spanish/Mexican theme and Aldea was the perfect setting. The walkways lined with lanterns and the courtyard decked out in white christmas tree lights were perfect. I loved how it accommodated both inside and outside events.

What a most beautiful venue. It was a subtly lit, well stocked open bar, patio, catered wedding and from what I hear all inclusive. That's nice way to keep track of all those bucks your spending on your big day. There was a great patio out back and a spacious dance floor inside. The enire guest list was doing the wobble. Good times, good times. I did hear it costs 15K though.

Came here for a friends wedding. It's like old world Mexico. Very quaint and nice. It is a bit dated. Some floors are caving a bit. But... If you are hosting an event they have lots of outdoor space. It is not expensive, service is ok. Personally... There are much better venues. But for those with a tight budget but want something clean and nice. Go for it.

I went here for a wedding this past Sunday afternoon. I will try to review the place, and not the actual wedding. The place where they hold the ceremonies is in the courtyard. It is beautiful, but in Arizona, there is a small window of time in which an outdoor wedding is comfortable. This past Sunday at 5:30 PM did not fall into that window. So if you are planning on getting married in Arizona, I'd be careful about the outside thing. The cocktail hour was nice, but outside in the beautiful and sweat inducing courtyard as well. The indoor reception was quite nice. It was a small wedding, so it may have not worked as well for a large wedding. It had an ample dance floor, great bar, and plenty of room for the buffet line. This may be my most boring review ever, but you try and go to a wedding and leave out all the juicy details and just review the venue! argghhh

Unfortunately, the new owners of the former Landmark Restaurant, the corporation Aldea, purchased building. Apparently this company will no longer allow group tours of the historic location as the previous owners, the Ellises did. Aldea owners also don't respond to inquiries and if they do, they come across as being extremely rude. The building was built in 1908 and was formerly a Mormon church, the Mesa Community College, and the Landmark Restaurant.
