12 West Brewing - Ahwatukee

It's great having another stellar beer option in Ahwatukee. This spot is cozy, modern, and convenient all wrapped up. The staff is friendly, creating a great neighborhood bar vibe.

This corner of town where Chandler and Ahwatukee meet is becoming a brewery destination. XII West took over the former Whining Pig location and joins Goldwater and Wren House in the area and it's a welcome addition. If you had been to the former spot, the layout is the same but it's a warmer feel. No more chalkboards, a traditional bar top, and more table seating is available. There are a few TVs to catch a game which is nice too. Like many tap rooms, this is bring your own food if you're hungry. As such, them being neighbors with Native is helpful if you're hungry. They did open very quickly so I think they're working out a few things still. For instance, I think there is a happy hour but there's nothing online about it or posted anywhere in the taproom. I have been charged different prices at different times though. There are no menus (QR only). The vibe is a little off - I was there during a Monday Night Football game and the game was on all 3 TVs but the sound was like soft rock. Maybe just turn the game sound on? All good though, I'm sure they'll find their footing and become a staple for beer lovers in the area.

Great beers, great service, and a comfortable relaxed setting, glad they are now also in Ahwatukee!
