Tacos are on point and a great deal at 1.75 a piece. The tongue was super tender and the cabeza was equally good. Pretty generous servings too. The server/cashier was super nice which always makes the food taste better. Hasta pronto Mercado El Mundo!

Highly recommend this restaurant! Their menudo is absolutely amazing and the service is wonderful as well. They also have a small store attached. We will be returning here and highly recommend this yummy little place.

Conveniently located near the I5, this bare bone Mexican eatery served a decent selection of real Mexican traditional dishes (tacos, tamales and gorditas) at a very reasonable price. On weekends they lay out special dishes. The food was tasty and they had the usual selection of Mexican beers as well as a tasty hortacha (sweet drink made of almond and rice milk which helps when eating spicy food). The decor was very basic but the Mexican soccer match and clientele made it enjoyable. There is a nice store/butcher adjacent to the restaurant where you can buy some traditional items.

Well, was looking for authentic and most of their food is! But was craving some caldo de res and decided to try it. First, they don't give sopa de arroz with it which is completely baffling. Then they give me a big plastic cup for the caldo. I didn't check it because previous order ( breakfast) was on point. Come to find out very little veggies and meat. A lot of broth which was good, 4 tortillas, onion, cilantro and salsa; all for $15. Not quite worth the $$.

Easily some of the best tamales I've ever had. Tacos were fantastic too! Prices reasonable. Location convenient. Jorge's Kitchen was my favorite in MV, but I could see these guys replacing them as I try more dishes.

Decided to try El Mercadito del Mundo for lunch. We dropped in on a Sunday (12:30pm). No wait for a table. Our waitress was friendly. Two salsa bottles (salsa verde and a smoky salsa) were brought to the table.- Agua de horchata ($2.50 USD small) - good but they added a lot of ice.- 2 Enchiladas & 1 tamal combination platter (#3) ($14.99 USD) - tamale was good, enchiladas were bland. Rice wasn't hot; tasted like it sat in the warmer for too long.- Lengua en salsa verde ($16.99 USD) - beef tongue was tender and sautéed onions were nice but tiny portion. Only 7 thin slices of tongue.Nothing blew us away at EMDM. On to the next Mexican spot to try.
