Mendocino Farms

Saturday post workout lunch was a good idea. Came right when they opened and about 10 minutes later, they already had a line for ordering! Restaurant and tables were clean and ready for customers.Ordered the avocado and quinoa ensalada with the dressing mixed in. Delicious and very generous portion. The crunch from, I'm assuming the quinoa, was a bit more hard than crunchy, but didn't impact the fact that I finished the whole bowl of salad. I would get this meal again! Also hear good things about the steak sandwich so will try that next.I would recommend to have signs of where to place items when cleaning up as it's more of a diy set up like the bowls vs silverware. Bowls were put away with forks still in the bowl, but I also noticed a soap and water bin which looked like it would be used to put used silverware.

I love me a good sandwich. Problem is, most sandwich options are heavy, pre-fab submarine types and the ingredients leave something to be desired (looking at you, Subway). Luckily, Mendocino offers up fresh and filling sandwiches when you're in the mood to elevate your bread and meat experience.Although they also offer salads and soups, yours truly had no time for that noise. I got the Farm Club, a turkey and bacon mountain with tons of fresh veggies. No sides needed, the 'wich was plenty on its own. Service was friendly and the place was nice and clean. Only slight downside was the drink. They offer a few freshly made fruit drinks and teas and I had the green drink which was tasty except the lids didn't fit the cups and I ended up fashionably wearing a bit of my drink. I lived and I'd go back.

Every time I order it takes at least 30 minutes wait for pick up or longer. I'm not sure what the gap is because I see the employees working hard so I'm not sure if it is not enough employees working or if it is the design of the prep area and they can't handle the volume but the wait times for pick up is awful!!!Not only am I super disappointed as this happens every time, but I can see so many other guests are disappointed every time I go. As well, $3.95 add-on charge to add chicken on the salad is ridiculous based on the *amount* of chicken given. I ordered two salads, adding chicken and they are not even filled to the top of the lid and the chicken amount is an absolute joke!!! This is not an inflation excuse - see the picture. Fill it up!!Fill these salads up to the lid and give the commensurate amount of chicken per $3.95!! And please no more than 15 min (20min max wait time)!!!That should be the standard. If not, location won't last long. I want to keep coming every week here but I can't with this experience and price-value. I hope management really considers the wait times and the amount of food that is given and fixes these issues

I tried something new on my recent trip to MF. Their vegan tofu Bahn mi is really tasty, but the type of bread used makes it hard to eat. It's definitely a finger food because I kept picking up the carrots falling out of my sandwich. The soup was delicious!My coworkers and I sat outside and this is no fault to MF, but I smelled sewage. It was unpleasant odor on a beautiful day while eating a delicious meal. Property management should look into it.

Mendocino Farms has a great catering service! The food was amazing!!!!Here is a BIG THANKS to Dustin, he took my order in a very short time, also spent a lot time for me to introduce the catering special order for my son 16th birthday party. we ordered one medium sandwich tray , the boys love them so much! Especially "not so fried " and "Turkey Avo" two popular sandwiches. And, we ordered two Cherry Cocktail Sandwiches, Balsamic Steak & Bacon and Prosciutto & Fig. They loved the steak & bacon so much. Also, we ordered BBQ Chicken and Peruvian Steak Skewers as well , they ate them so quickly. Thank you so much for serving such good food, the party was so successful, the boys enjoyed the food so much. Mendocino Farms is one of the best sandwich places in San Diego!!!

I'm not a fan of this location. Even though this was a Saturday, it wasn't packed. In fact, I was able to walk straight up to a cashier without the impediment of a long line. For a Mendocino Farms, that's pretty rare. When it came to ordering, I was bummed to not only find out that the first item I wanted was out, but my second choice was out too. So right off the bat, I'm not going to be 100% satisfied with my meal. But whatever. What was very annoying was that they needed my phone number. They "claimed" they would text me when when my food was ready for pickup. Of course, that sounds like a helpful thing, but as you'll read further along this experience, they just capture your phone number, and they don't text you when your food is ready.I'm going to "sandwich" complement the positive point of my dining experience here. The sandwich I ended up ordering (Italian) was good and up to Mendocino standards. So the food is tasty, when it's actually available.This place had so many people working behind the counter. I was wondering why it was taking so long for my food. After 20 minutes, I basically went outside to wait for my "text". Nothing for another 5 minutes. I noticed through the glass window that a young girl with a togo bag was going from table to table asking if they had a togo order. I realized that might be my order and sure enough, it was. I'm not sure why it took so long, but more so, why didn't they text me? Can't recommend this location at this time.- Not ready for primetime- location's ambiance is lacking compared to others in the chain.

We received a coupon in mail for 4s ranch location so decided to give a try. I love Mendocino farms in Del Mar and La Jolla locations. This place is super clean and everything look brand new and very spacious!They also have a nice lounge area for kids to run around outside too! The service here is excellent. Usually all the Mendocino farms cashiers are nice but the cashier tonight was best.Foods came out at descent time but this location had a lot less drinks than other locations. There were only two options available, lemonade and passion fruit tea. Passion fruit tea was not good... lemonade was just another lemonadeThe food were all descent.... Everyone complained that there were too little meat. I will come back to try their salads to see if it's good as other locations.

So happy to see Mendocino open in 4s Ranch! The line was out the door when I visited but I placed an online order so I was able to skip ahead :). The staff are so friendly and despite the huge crowd, they were on top of it! I was impressed by how quickly they were able to get things out and manage the orders and long lines. The store itself is nicely decorated and offers an upbeat ambiance, perfect for hangouts or eating with family. I tried the Mediterranean crunch salad and it lasted me 1.5 meals! They don't skimp on the toppings, and the pita chips gave a nice crunch. I'm excited to go back!

I had a great experience here. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and everything seemed fresh. The salad was definitely the highlight with the kale. This is a great go to spot especially with a little patio outside for the kids to run around.

They're very inconsistent and hit and miss. They cut their chicken portions on their salads by half and the portion previously was nothing to brag about. It's not worth the money and you're better off going to sweetgreen next door.
