Ziffels Barbecue

Had the large pulled pork sammie and Mac 'n' Cheese. Wanted to try the wings but it was the end of the day and they were out. Had the sandwich with slaw and pickles. I thought it was very good and high quality meat. The Mac & Cheese was creamy but not soupy (a BIG pet peeve of mine). The woman waiting on myself and few others was very amiable and gets a 10 . Wish I got her name. If I lived closer I would definitely try other items here. Good work guys.

Ziffel's has been a big surprise, they really turned it around from when they first opened but everything I've had here has been excellent, I'm particularly fond of the smoked slaw burgers, smoked sausage, and the huge stuffed potatoes are a big hit here as well. Good variety on the menu and prices are very reasonable. This is also the nicest sit down restaurant in Lewisburg. Great place to catch a game, 4 TVs over the bar, a good beer selection with domestic longnecks under $3. Nothing to complain about here except for this: the dining room is closed from 1:30-3:30 and the restaurant closes inexplicably at 7:00PM, that leaves a narrow window to sneak in here for a meal. Waffle House is opening next door in a week so maybe that will urge them to up their game.

Really wanted to like this place. Drive from Nashville to try it. Very clean inside. Server Courtney was super nice. Had the pork and 2 sides and bake potato. Wife's pork was ok. Kind of dry and sauce was sweet and not good tasted like out of a jar and not a good one at that. She likes the coleslaw which was a vinegar based. Johnny cake was the best thing on plate. The fried okra was of the frozen typed and fried and left under warmer. Not hot, fresh, tasty or any real flavor of Okra. My baked potato was very average. Potato was cooked great. The pork was very little and very bland came with butter and sour cream and a little cold cheese, did not melt due to Luke warm potato. The sauce was sweet and hot. It was not hot but sweet as candy.... Yuck. Place was cheap but the food was not very good and the pork was very average with no real taste. So sad. Clean restrooms and not really anybody there. I wonder why??Avoid this place and go to a real BBQ place like Martins or Edleys. I am surprised this place was still in business. The server was all by herself and was trying real hard. I suspect all the other stuff is about the same. Place did not smell like a BBQ restaurant.

I was hungry for some ribs. Walked in at 1:40pm. I noticed a sign on the door that they will be closing from 2-4. I thought to myself that I could eat a 1/2 rack in 20 minutes. A lady with red hair (I think she was the owner or a manager) came up. I ordered the ribs and she said "do you want those to go because we close at 2pm. I said "I'll eat them quick if I can dine in, what happens at 2pm" She replied "I'm locking the doors and I'm leaving, we're short handed." This place has been open for close to a year and the parking lot is always close to empty. I took my wife there for dinner when they 1st opened and we both thought it was below average. I would think they would need my business. I'll go to Lawler's for BBQ going forward. Good luck.

The food was hot but it lacked flavor. The ribs and brisket were not cooked properly at all. Brisket should be smoked. Ribs should not be dry. I would give 0/10. However, despite my negative rating for the food, the customer service was good.

Excellent food. They have had struggles with finding dependable employees but despite that, the food is always good. I haven't ordered anything that wasn't excellent.

Pulled pork and brisket were tender, not much smoke. In my humble opinion, they shouldn't be covered up with slaw. Or sauce. Good Q can stand by itself. Your ribs didn't have sauce, good smoke! Delicious!

Good food. Good prices. I had the large pulled pork sandwich with vinegar slaw and pickle. Perfect combo. I went with the reaper sauce this time! Love it! Their potato salad is good too. I've been 3 times now and liked every visit. The banana pudding is fantastic!

This food is just pretty darn great! It's really good food and you get plenty of us. The manager is very nice and makes sure everything is good with your order. The service is fast and the restaurant is very clean. Really enjoy the food there!

First time to eat here. First impression was great! I smelled smoke before I even got out of the car! That's the sign of a good bbq place. Second impression was how clean and orderly everything looked inside. Thirdly our order was taken promptly and the waitress was nice. I ordered the rib plate with bbq beans and waffle fries for the sides. The wife ordered the pulled chicken plate with bbq beans and coleslaw. My ribs were completely dried out on the narrow end and not edible at all but on the wide end they could be eaten and weren't too bad at all. Wife's chicken was also dried and and as she said it was just "ok". We both liked the beans and coleslaw and the waffle fries. I think if you have a restaurant sometimes you have to throw away meat that is not properly cooked and make sure the customer gets food that they are impressed with and leaves them wanting for more.
