Zen Japanese Fine Cuisine

We came during their early bird lunch menu and the restaurant was quite empty. Our server was kind and attentive. Prices are decent for portions. This meal cost about $60. The Katsu is what made us come during lunch. It's not on their dinner menu but it's delicious. Sushi rolls tasted fresh and would get them again. Chicken udon had a nice savory sauce that wasn't overwhelming. Plan to return!

This place is 5 stars. Very comfortable atmosphere. The design is exquisite. Service was great and the sushi was amazing I can't wait to go back!

Great place for lunch located off Germantown Rd. Staff is friendly & hardly any wait time to get food. First time trying Nigiri & I loved it. They close at 2:30pm to prepare for dinner. Great lunch specials for fine dining.

Our food was tasty, especially the Osaka-Zen sushi items, and seemingly healthier than the competition. The restaurant is spacious and the night we went was maybe 10% full; unsure if that's normal or just because it was early in the week. Service was great from host stand to waitress.

This is the absolute best sushi in the Memphis metro region. They have fish selections no one else does, and everything tastes exquisite. Atmosphere is perfect for a quiet date or a group. I happily drive from the opposite end of town for this place. Also, every appetizer is fantastic, as well as the miso bisque.

The place is more upscale than their sister restaurant Osaka. Some of the fish seems to be higher quality like their specialty Rainbow Roll which is delicious. I also love their No Cap Roll which is Crispy Rice topped with Soicy tuna (sometimes is can be a little too spicy)

This is the best Japanese food we have had anywhere in the Memphis area. I have even traveled to Japan...and this restaurant is as good as it gets. Our server, Emma, was very pleasant and efficient...excellent service. The ambiance is relaxing and comfortable. Everyone we have taken to eat here has loved it. We will be back again! The Sushi Combo B with Samurai Roll is awesome, as were the Crab Tartar appetizer and the House Zen Salad. This is first class food at very reasonable prices in today's economy...not to be missed!

I continue to be amazed that Zen is not completely packed. It's more than your typical Japanese restaurant! It's a Japanese experience. Lovely Japanese Cocktails, wines & beers. Everything from presentation to the decor is excellent and creates an elegant experience. There is a large price range of dishes to accommodate everyone's purse, yet they do not skimp on the cheaper ones. You can dress up for a fancy date or go casual. Even the location is safe & beautiful. I think it's kinda tucked away & one may forget it's there. I know I do. I would encourage everyone to try it, though I may not get a seat once people experience the Zen

Delicious meal, warm saki, nice atmosphere but service is lackluster. Didn't check on us until time to leave. Please work on service and it'll be an A.

Fantastic Food, Great Service and Lovely Ambiance!!!! I can't believe it took us so longer to visit this GEM of a restaurant...shame on me. Definitely adding Zen into heavy rotation!!!!
