Yampertown Steak & Seafood

Nice little spot off the main road. Nothing special to see but friendly service and inviting feel. I had a smothered chopped steak with a baked potato and a salad bar. Salad bar was simple but fresh and well attended. The service was really good. The waitress was chatty when needed and supplied the right amount of attention. The quantity and quality exceeded expectation, I'll stop in again my next time through.

Stay away. Order take out like we have over the past few months now. But this time. The place was pack. I mean really pack. No social distance. Wearing an mask was not mandate. Some employees were and some wasn't. And if they did. It was half on and half off. They had salad bar. Which anyone could go up pack their plates. Just an small sign. Just saying please wear an mask. That was an joke. I was sitting in the corner just watching and waiting for our order to be ready. Couldn't believe how people could just walk by and say hello to their friends without concern about not wearing a mask. This will be my last time I'll do my business with this place. Ohhh. Just put the last review statement. One of the people who work there. Made an salad for our meals. Just took it and threw it away. Since it was coming off the salad bar just like every other did. Sorry! I'm 66 yr old my wife is 60 and her mother is 81. My wife take care her mom. And we all underlying condition. We dont go out to eat and we don't socialize our side our closest friends. We wear masks and use hand sanitizer as much as we leave somewhere. Wash our hand almost every time we need to.

We were on vacation and wanted to find a local restaurant for dinner. What a great find. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The cat fish was the best we ever had. I had shrimp and the hush puppies. Both were cooked perfectly. Sorry we don't live locally because it would be our favorite place to eat.

One of the better places to get a Awesome Steak ...started out with a Salad bar plate piled high followed by a 16 oz Rib eye I was able to cut with a fork. This is a local secret with a funny name "Yampertown Steak and Seafood"

My wife and I love eating here the food is great and very friendly. The steaks are always cooked just right a great salad bar. Friday night special is steak and scrimp my favorite my wife likes there pork chops, there seafood is great best place to eat around our neck of the woods

Great food and service. Very casual, country atmosphere. We enjoyed the shrimp and oysters as well as the steak.

The wait time was insanely long.we had a reservation for a birthday party on February 11,2023.The wait staff was polite although many times we never received things we asked for.we waited an hour on food.my kids chicken fingers were so rubbery that my six year old could only chew it and spit it out.My steak was also impossible to chew..I had chicken fingers and shrimp with my players and the only item that was edible was the shrimp. I had rice as a side jevause the waitress recommended it,but it was bland.it tasted like hospital food.no seasoning.no flavor. Just basic.The woman at the register also was rude to my teen son who was brining in a gift for the party. I was paying and she didn't know he was my child so she stared him down and rolled her eyes like it effected her in some wayWe spent a lot of money there,and who on earth does that to a child?the lady running the register should understand customers are what keeps her in a job.i was disappointed overall and don't recommend.it was me and 2 kids and the food was 70.00,a waste because only a few things were edible.

I went there on Feb.9,2018. I was with 2 young ladies who happened to be white. I am black. When we went in we got stares from the staff. We ordered our food and it was given to us AFTER other people that came after us was served. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE of color! It was back to the 60's.
