Yamato Sushi & Steakhouse

I have lived in the area for nearly 3 years. Yamoto is my go to Japanese restaurant.Just an FYI, I have banned almost every other restaurant in Senatobia, but Yamato is awesome.The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. And the pricing is fair, especially for the quality and quantity. They have great sweet tea.The wait staff is always pleasant and friendly. They're generally very attentive. And while the restaurant is not fancy, it is always clean, comfortable and well lit. I strongly recommend Yamato. I eat there a few times a month. If you see me there, please say hi.

Small sushi and hibachi place. Gets a bit busy for lunch but servers are efficient. Ordered the steak and chicken special & ate some of the Memphis roll. Overall, solid food.

The food looked delicious! The reason for my review is hopefully bring attention it this. Unfortunately everything I ordered smelled fishy. So fishy that I took one bite and had to toss it The sweet potatoes roll was fine. Really good. So it must have been a kitchen thing. I don't leave reviews, I never have. It's a bit weird. The white rice, edamame, and seaweed salad would have been all really food if it didn't taste very fishy. I hope I can order again and if there's a difference I'll totally update my review. There aren't a lot of options out here so I would love it if this changes. I struggled w what to rate it. But if I paid for and literally had to throw away all the food I can't warrant any higher a rating.

I love Yamato! It's got great food. I do recommend the Superman roll. I love it so much! Please write good reviews to make the employees and owners happy. I have one request, keep doing good! You Yamato guys do a great job!

I ordered the beef and shrimp fried rice, the beef as well as the shrimp were over cooked. The shrimp tasted like 'chalk' simply because of overcooking it on the grill. Note: Before placing my order, I politely asked one of the three young women responsible for taking the order to please inform the cook not to overcook the shrimp, (it is suppose to be plump, juicy, and tender) well it turned out rubbery!

Food excellent service fantastic and ambiance pleasant and comfortable. Steak udon and many of the the sushi items are very good. I would post pictures but we eat our take out to quickly. Oh well maybe next time.

Only because I couldn't give it a zero.Good food, service was good. Night was ruined by a young, ignorant manager who would rather lose paying customers than resolve a disturbance in his restaurant. When you have kids bouncing on seats, climbing on tables and consistently screaming for the course of 45-minute dinner, evidently, business is so good, the manager can tell customers "see you never!!!" as they are leaving the diner. To the owner, you have a severe problem if you allow your managers to speak to clients this way when clients are presenting a problem. Seeing the disappointment in your servers' eyes as he talked that way was proof enough it wasnt the first time he had acted that wayIf you're an adult and would like a meal with reasonable peace and quiet, this is not the place for you.

Local gem! Always great service and delicious food. Never disappointed.Almost always full of patrons waiting for a table, but the wait is worth it.
