Yamato Steakhouse

Yamato Steak House of Japan, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, offers somewhat decent Japanese hibachi. I have chosen to give it three stars instead of two because the area is seriously lacking good restaurants and this is the only Japanese place in town.The steak hibachi combination is ok. It comes with a soup (choice of miso or onion) and salad. The onion soup was pretty weak and the salad was simply iceberg lettuce. The steak was ok and the rice was, well, it was rice.I have had here a few times when in Fayetteville simply because my dining options are limited. Maybe next time I will try the soba noodles with steak.

This place will surprise you. The food is very very good have a pretty quick with the two very reasonably priced

The food is substandard and the service is subpar. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone in good conscience. I realize that the COVID-19 pseudo pandemic has caused great harm to the food service industry which is all the more reason for them to step up their game. Unfortunately for here, that has not occurred.

Great food! We just moved to the area 6 months ago. We were missing our favorite, but very expensive, hibachi place where they cook the food in front of you. The food is so good at Yamato's, you don't miss the show. Our group all had various menu items - sushi, steak tips, shrimp; all excellent and at great prices! The young people that worked there were all very professional and attentive! We are so glad to have new place to celebrate birthdays. We will be back!

Best hibachi experience I've ever had in my life , our excellent chef ( wang ) was the best hibachi chef I've ever seen ! His tricks and humor was fantastic! Highly recommend him his to any person going through or visiting Fayetteville! Absolutely amazing.

This place was awesome. I was greeted with smiles and good customer service. Food was great and well priced.

Came in and sat down. They took our drink order and came back two minutes later to get it again. 10 minutes later we got the wrong drinks. And were told to give him a few minutes and he'll be back to take our order. Somewhere around 10 minutes later we just got up and left. They weren't busy and seemed to have plenty of staff. First impressions make last impressions

I usually don't give bad reviews but this places does not have friendly service. I watched as my to go order was fixed and had to ask them to please put gloves on. Making sushi without gloves is insane.
